Similarly, I can't say the lack of team-invite privileges makes sense. The only thing that might reduce would be blind-invites, but I don't think those come from exclusively from RMTs or Trial-players. Besides, we already have the "Do not accept invites" option, if you absolutely don't want to be bothered, right?
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I can see the reason for it. A team invite can perform the same functions as a /tell, if the team is limited to one person. It's an effort to keep RMTers from being able to use trial accounts to 'call out' in any way, shape, or form. By forcing them to use Local, they broadcast their intentions to everybody in the area, meaning it's much easier to report them.
[/ QUOTE ]
A team invite CANNOT function as a tell. I ignore blind invites, I respond to tells. This RMT er, trial account fix doesn't affect me, but I think some of it is a bit overboard, such as the not being able to reply to tells. -
this is about where I stand on the Hollows now. The missions closer, not needing to traverse to deadly areas is a plus as well.
But please, please make it a warground of the Trolls and Outcasts again. The other groups take away the feel. I also preferred the larger groups, much, much more of a challenge. -

Why do certain zones lack beacons: Pocket D, Ouroboros, FBZ. Is there a reason PVP zones lack beacons?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not in the know, but I think I can answer the why not to all three of the regular zones. Pocket D, Collectors Edition TP; Ourboros, you already get a portal there when you reach the right level; FBZ, this could go for all 3 actually, it's not even in our reality.
As to the PvP zones, it would be nice.
Well put together thread here btw, especially with the links. One thing I would like to add to the wishlist, even though I said 5 was enough back in the day, more SG ranks. Ranks really do give someone in a SG something to work for. -
and praytell, how much do the extra slots cost?
-
if done like in Tabula Rasa, it will mesh nicely....in groups/sg/private, etc.
-
I'll be there, even started my own thread 'cause I didn't see this one
So I guess the question is, where to meet, drink, and be merry?
-
First, great idea, it will be awsome to write my own story arcs, XP or not.
I just want to know if this means that for Arena battles I can finally choose my own map? Will this Mission Creator allow PvP in the missions? I would love to be able to create a mission where my friends could to try to thwart me ala safeguard missions but with PvP.
And for all you naysayers out there to PvP, this is the ultimate die roll for RP. -

got the same from Feedback and Hayperstrike. Saying all was a bit of an overstatement. Capt. Victory, Fat Momma, Feedback, Hyperstrike, and Hygena. They are all great people and personable.

too damned fun. This was my first, of many I'm sure. I didn't go as a superhero, I went as Kakashi from Naruto, but I did meet up with the NCSoft crew and with all of the heroes from Who Wants to be a Superhero? I think I know who won, but I won't tell...

without reading through all of these, this is my observation. The robbery at the bank didn't take very long at all, they started making a b-line for the get-a-way truck almost as soon as I stepped into the bank. I find it easier to just wait by the truck for the bad guys to come to me.
One other thing that needs to be fixed, stealth and over all perception of the mobs. Stealth doesn't seem to make you stealthy, and the bad guys tend to see you even if you're across the block.
Other than that, they are fun though frustrating at times. The lower level ones set at heroic were hard, the level 50 set at invincible nigh impossible even though we won. If debt were an issue there, I'd be crying now. -
see you on the TR forums Cuppa, once they open for business that is

hmm...didn't know there was a badge to be getting there. Guess I'll be off drinking and dancing again tonight.

That version of Project Fred is dead. Soon he will be back though...very soon.
I had actually used it as an RP piece to set the scene up for Project Fred, now that CoV is coming out I may have to redo the AI that started it all. -
Lieutenant Violet Shotz, former aide of General Douglas Monroe, walks into the office of her new boss, General Erik "Dwarf Star" Monroe carrying a bin of letters.
"Sir, here's the mail today approved for delivery by Internal Central Security." Lt. Shotz said handing the mail bin to DS.
"Thank you Vi." Looking over the contents, DS pulls out the envelope containing an invitation from Alexandre Ivanovich.
"What the hell is this? September 23rd? This is today's mail?"
"It's today's approved mail from ICS sir." Lt. Shotz replied.
"Of course, everything must be screened first, don't want any bad apples in our midst. And people wonder why I don't get out much anymore..."
Dwarf Star sighs and continues reading through the mail wondering why he took the promotion in the first place. -
Crime Factor
The Praetorian version of Freedom Factor
Dwarf Darkstar created Crime Factor to gather like minded indviduals to take out General Terror and eventually take over Praetorian Earth. Failing that, he set out to Paragon City. Now, posing as a hero merged with a Nictus to become a Warshade, DDS bides his time until Crimson Sparrow can get the others in this dimension from Praetorian Earth.
Project Fred
Biological organisms are inferior and must be irradicated. Top priority: Humans. Eliminating humans pushes perfection closer to fruition. Kill all humans. For the good of all, kill all humans.
((will be changing global methinks to ProjectFred))
at work here, so lacking a bit but I wanted to get something down. -
well, this addresses my primary concern, thank you. Now I just need my hold times readjusted for my gravity controller...

[ QUOTE ]
My concern is how the base system will support the SMALL supergroup.
My SG is a total of 10 guys. That's it. We're all real-life friends and we want to stay small and tight-knit. I am having serious doubts that we'll be able to compete against the other groups out there with 75 full members.
It seems that the base-raiding system is not geared for small groups or casual gamers. Lord Recluse, can you provide any comment on this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Though not in the same boat, the concern is valid; even for large SGs as all toons can't be on at the same time. Now if we could include our entire Coalition on base raids that might alleviate any problems. -
make it so I can promote/demote when members are not online
Give me at least 5-6 ranks so I can assign different levels of access and give members something to work towards.
Give me an access panel on the website here that I can manage my supergroup out of game.
List of all supergroups that updates regularly with members, etc. on same said website.
Off the SG avenue, you've stated that supergroup bases will be in CoV. What about lone hero housing separate from the SG?
{edit} one more thing, how about let us use the useless terminals throughout the city for SG recruitment? -
in truth, I like the extra HP on bosses, though they pack a whallop. I, as a controller, can still solo most non-AV missions.
But to address the statement that bosses only spawn in boss mentioned missions is a falacy. Monday while soloing, two missions I completed did not mention a boss. Needless to say, both had a couple of bosses in them. -
A Headman takes aim at The Sly Fox.
"Our time is now and...ungh!" caught in gravity well and lifted 2 feet off the ground the Headman's words are cut short.
"Sly, you old dog, you really should watch your back where the Lost are concerned." Dwarf Star joked.
Not more than three and half feet tall, but quite muscular, Dwarf Star brused off his blue and white tights and straightened his yellow beard.
"Quite the party you all have going on here." -
I don't think it sounds crazy, and this has been discussed a lot on the boards. I'm suprised it hasn't been looked at more or at least addressed.
-
I agree full heartedly. Role play is made by the role player. It's everywehre if you look for it. When I request help in the request channel I'm in character. For example, the other night: "security level 16 blaster and 17 gravity controller looking for assistance to take down the nefarious Dr. Vahzilok. This villain has proven impossible for us to apprehend. Please call if you can help." I had a response from someone in character back.
As to the local nightclub/bar, definately needed. And why is Major Flanders never open? I got this coupon in the paper the other day and have not yet been able to use it. -
if you get the Prima strategy guide, there is a lot of infomation on the Ritki. I highly recommend it.
Also, here on the website : http://www.cityofheroes.com/features...ins_rikti.html
Althogh not as near as complete as the book, it's a good start.
