So, are the Defense and Resistance, enhancments, gonna have their values changed to what they should be?

8 - Training

16 - DO's

33 - SO's

instead of the 5, 10, 20. we have now?


Come on devs, art guys, where is my Maid costume for my characters! 5 years now, its a simple request.

Seeing as I don't have endurance problems solo or teaming using a 3 slot build on test. AND I have vigilance on my dark miasma defenders... AND I have room to slot endred in all my powers now.. why would I be excited about this again?


Oh and if you have been testing this since march, why didn't you include this in your original post there bucko?


When something good happens to me, I can never enjoy it....

You can keep the endurance discount because this helps alot of us in no way. Defenders have that vigilance so all they have to do is not do their job just to get the end discount. This wont be hard now since we have ED. We need a recharge rate changed back on controller holds, and final scrapper powers. I have had to go semi-perma-elude just to make SR work for me and now you take that from us? So unless you are lowering the recharge times we do not have any way of surviving the post-40 game.

Because as mentioned before, the post we got was originally intended for City of Villains *only*. CuppaJo cut and pasted that here so we could get a heads up. That does not automatically mean that Positron didn't plan to mention this in his post here if/when he made one.

Well...

It's nice that I'll have to worry a little less about my blue END bar dropping while my green HP bar skyrockets down faster than a Kheld in a mob of Quants.

I may be dead, but I've still got some END, darnit! Oh wait..... darn.

Wow, who cares??? With the decrease in endurance costs we'll be able to fight longer if we could deal enough damage, have enough defenses or be able to rely on enough healing or crowd controlling to actually live that long...great...at least when I return to the mission from the hospital I won't be quite so winded after using my new slower travel power.

The Devs are going to have to boost every bonus across the board, and not just endurance, for this lame turkey to fly.

Here's hoping that when this gets shouted down by everyone on the test server the devs will actually listen.

I just want to see some dev response to actual player-raised issues, like the crippling of defense for tankers (now down to scrapper level defense) and scrappers (down to barely above Blaster defense), and what the hell exactly we're supposed to do with all of these slots we no longer need. What? Slot Brawl? Rest? Sprint? What?

What about the mobs? They're going to be hitting us more often (due to def nerfs), hitting us harder (due to res nerfs), and we'll be hitting them for less damage.

This whole thing is a half-baked solution to a problem I'm not aware of.

Replying to only this change and not the SO nerf, I'd like to say that a reduction to overall endurance costs has been a long time coming, and it'll be greatly appreciated in the pre-Stamina levels (especially 15-19, where my characters tend to really start hurting for endurance).

I'm going to at least experiment with dropping Stamina on some characters and substituting a -end cost in each power, added to the overall endurance cost reduction.

Thank you for the post. This is a step in the right direction. However...

Will we be seeing any subsequent changes to base defense/buffs? This is where ED will hurt players the most.

Wow, thanks. A 13.33% decrease in end use by our powers.

So answer me this...

If our powers cost less end AFTER this "enhancement diversification" joke, why would we bother DIVERSIFYING our slotting by putting in end reducts? No reason to. So by throwing us this "bone", you are breaking your own system.

Makes sense to me, considering nothing was broken before and you decided to break it in order to come up for a fix that wasn't needed until you broke it.

Yeah, perfect sense.

So, my Electric/Devices character will pay 13% less Endurance, but lose 30% of his damage capability? Which means I'll use 30% more attacks and thus pay 30% more Endurance to defeat foes...

I think the used car lot down the street is looking for another salesman. I'll have them give you a call.

40% of an even level SO in return. I don't quite get why you balance in terms of +3 SOs and then give returns in even level SOs. Should be 15.33% if you ask me.

That said, some clarity...

Are the actual values for Endurance costs being lowered (e.g, all costs get a new value that is 86.67% of its current value, meaning a power that costs 10 End now drops to 8.67%)?

OR are the actual values left the same and this an additional bonus applied to Endurance costs at the time of deducting against your total current endurance?

AND if the answer is "yes" to it being an additional bonus, is it applied like an enhancement, or is it from the final End cost after enhancements are applied?

Ok, so this addresses the Stamina Nerf .... Kinda. We'll still have to slot for End Reduction in our primary attack powers.

I'm more concerned with our severe reduction to Damage Output as well as Defense/Resistance.

Can we get a 13.33% Reduction to enemy Health Points as well?

Or how about a 13.33% Reduction in the damage that enemies will deal out now?

BUZZZZ...wrong answer Posi, thank you for playing. This is the answer to "how are we going to try and save face", but not to the questions being asked. Please quit calling it Enhancement Diversification, diversification implies choices and we know this is not the case.
