Stop telling me its the retailer's fault! That isn't the point! The point is that its out now, and what is being done about it. The point is that the retailers broke the street date and, as a result, PlayNC may be losing customers who are angry at being locked out of the game they just bought, who may very well go and buy something else instead. Think beyond the means and think of the ends, folks.

No, No! All the merchandising I've seen say Play City of Villains on 31 Oct 2005. All stores are putting the game out early so you can install and get your system ready. A release date and a play on date are 2 different things. Sounds like you a made a deposit on the Full edition well before a preorder kit was annouced by NCSOFT. Your local store is at fault. I know a few male people had preordered too early and got a female special helm from Game Stop. Now truthfully, your retailer should have applied your deposit to a preoder kit and called you when it came in, that store messed up and they owe you a kit IMO. Secondly, when the official preorder kits were announced you should have double checked with the store to see what helm/version you were getting to CYA.

  3. wouldn't it just make sense in general for bases to be a CoV only thing unless you have them both? Villians fight against each other all the time so base battles are the norm; however, Heroes don't normally go storming into another Hero groups base to "steal" stuff. Also, if you notice, most hero groups that HAVE bases in the comics actually face villian raids as well as attack other bases when they are discovered. So from a design stand point (to me) it makes sense for CoH to be out of the base buildin' fun unless you have CoV.

Now from a Technical and buisness sense; the dev team on CoV need to get paid :P also I see it sort of fitting. People who truley want to be villains (or just want base building right this second) will buy CoV at the price it is now and play. Now take into effect the time for them, they have to start from lvl 1 where CoH already has lvl 50's with ????? amounts of inf. They play, lvl, gain funds, then start base building. The people that have CoV & CoH can also start base building on CoH. Now, by the time the price drop for CoV happens (which it will) there will be high lvls in CoV (as well as updates and some fine tuning) to make a more balanced Base Raid.

Taking this into account, by the time CoV is the price of an expasion for CoH players, it would be prime time for some real Base Raid's with well thought out bases.

thats just how I see it I guess...
