Quote:1. The Dream Doctor is against Ouroborous and Silos's plans, particularly in regards to the role of Rularru. And remember that the mythological Prometheus did indeed seem to have at least some genuine concern for mankind (thus the whole stealing fire to give it to humanity bit), although centuries and millenia could certainly have twisted that significantly.
Do I believe the Prometheus that stands in Ouroborous? Mostly, but it's very obvious he withholds much more than he reveals. His association with Ouroborous itself is a bit suspicious, too. I tend to believe the Dream Doctor much more than I do Mender Silos, and that extends to Silos's associates, including Prometheus.
2. The Dream Doctor joined the Midnight Club and helped guide them towards a larger role in the world.
3. Darrin Wade is an ex-Midnighter.
So. It is possible that someone in Ouroborus was behind Darrin Wade all along? Maybe it was a gambit on their part.
Outcome A: Darrin Wade ascends, takes Rularru's power, and there's another tool in order to fight the Battalion.
Outcome B: Darrin Wade is stopped, showing the power of the meta "humans" on Earth and maybe giving them information about Rularru that may help with Battalion. -
I ran parts 1-6 as a villain over the past month or so. Then I went Rogue, then switched to the Hero side of things. As a Hero I ran parts 1-6 on Blueside.
Part 7 treated me as a villain.
Which is kinda okay. That means they don't remember me being chained to the Idiot Ball. -
Essentially, the OP wants to be able to play as Tsoo Ink Men.
-
I remember the Hollows as being like boot camp. You would learn how to navigate a zone filled with hostiles by the time you got out of there.
I've been red side since CoV launched, mostly due to arcs being more compact and Mayhem missions being much more therapeutic than Safeguard missions.
But I was playing a few nights and realized how much I missed Eden. I spent a good bit of my 30's on my tanker there back in the day, and nothing in the Rogue Isles is quite like it. -
I guess Manticore was carrying around his Idiot Ball arrow.

Quote:Since switching bodies is pretty much Psyche's "thing", I'm guessing she still exists in some form. It would be funny if she was actually mind-riding inside your character without you knowing it. "Lately, you find yourself strangely attracted to Manticore, for reasons you can't explain..."
-
From a villain's perspective...
Is it possible that Psyche put a piece of herself inside the piece of Aurora that was in her mind, and is planning on taking over the Aurora that is now in control of Tyrka? -

Yeah. This is a toon that I hadn't logged in with in about 4 months. He had an old newspaper mission.
It's filled with Resistance Clockwork.
I don't have the heart to finish it/complete it. So rarely has a bug given me something cool like this. -
On one of my toons I have a bugged mission that has spawned Resistance Clockwork. Are these guys supposed to be popping up already, or do I have a one-in-a-million glitch?
-
...are you guys looking for reasons to be unhappy or what?
Love the "Day Job" mechanic. Looking forward to having a Scholar by day, Brute by night. -
RED BALL... GOOD.
BREAD... GOOD.
FIRE... BAAD! -
I like the hidden contacts as is. It helped add a sense of wonder to the game.

First...I confirm that we're working on right now (as in pohsyb in the next room) to add CoV costume parts into CoH if you own both games....
Then we repeal the hated stealth nerf. The reason why: many well reasoned posts. It's that simple. You guys pointed out the problems.
AND now...we're changing the way Archvillains spawn. A ton of forum goers disliked adding so many AV's into missions a while back...so we've come up with a solution. If the team size and mission difficulty are ABOVE a certain level, an Archvillain spawns. Below that, players will face only an Elite Boss. If the mission is set on the first two levels of difficulty, it takes 4 heroes or more to spawn an Arch Villain. On the third level, 3 heroes or more. On the fourth level, 2 heroes. On the highest (Invincible), a solo hero will spawn an AV. Note this works in BOTH City of Heroes and Villains.
In order to incentivize larger teams, Positron is going to add a bonus to AV rewards!

We put our robot to use. Two words: Open bar.

Fire/Fire, since my tanker was Fire/Fire.
Also made an EM/Stone (two sets I've been meaning to try). -
So... let's see. Fire Shield and Plasma Shield.
They take, if I recall recorrectly, Damage Res, End Reduc, and Recharge Reduction.
The recharge times on them are trivial, to say the least.
So now I get an end usage bonus. The end cost of them was already ok.
So. I'm still stuck with a tanker with 50% resistence.
That's what, about what a scrapper can expect?
Oh yeah, my damage doesn't scale.
Doh.
So. Any suggestions about how I need to build my tanker now?
I mean, really. I was able to take the Burn nerfs since I knew I could still tank for my team.
Now I don't even have that to cling to.
He's gonna be a crappy scrapper now -

You'll probably jump on me with your ford focuses again for this one, but...
I don't think regen Is going to get nerfed. It's not overpowered, and for the first time in ages, no one's complaining about how vastly superior it is. Whether you want to admit it or not, most power changes come because of whiners, especially lately. Things like lower debt, containment, lower end DA, and vigilance are all because of whiners. And how many people do you know whining that DP in regen is overpowered? I would hastily assume none. Past that, how many people are whining that stamina is overpowered? Actually, a lot of people (cough cough THE ENTIRE DEFENDER FORUM cough) are complaining it's required for all builds.
I think we're going to see more end reduction before we see any change to stamina. As for DP... just stop talking about it, and the no one will notice how good it is!

Revive is a lackluster power. Weakest of the self rez powers and as with all of them requires you to be defeated to even be useful. Personally I would rather take something that helps prevent that defeat then take a power I can only use if defeated.
[/ QUOTE ]
At least Revive isn't the level 32/38 power.

It's pretty though! Revive you just stand up.

Granted, it's a nice parlor trick.

I might wait till after I6 and just pretend that I have a blapper with maybe a faster HP recovery.
...well. That's how I'm already playing him, but I have the hope that eventually I'll have Dull Pain and Intergration to help me.
...for as long as it lasts.
