Supergroup "calendar" -- something to make it easy for supergroups to schedule group events like task forces and things. Something where we could fill in dates of upcoming events and they would show up as sort of a second MoTD as the time approached.

There needs to be more stuff to make Supergroups something more than just people who hang together in a chat channel. I had one member quit my SG the other day because she never did anything with any of its other members. There should be group content especially for SGs that can be enjoyed by two, three, twenty, or all 75 people at once, regardless of their level. I know that the base raid things in City of Villains will address this, but I think there should be supergroup content for PVE, not just PVP...and Hamidon doesn't count.

When global chat comes in, I'd like to be able to see the global name for SG members in the SG window.

I would love to have some way to have SG specific missions. Ideally, the SG leaders would have some say in what these missions contain (IE, enemy groups [Crey, Nemesis, CoT, etc], general map lay out [lab, cave, outdoor forest, etc], and overall storyline), but that'd probably require a lot more than is feasible to code.

A pipe dream of mine would be to have fights vs a Bizarro SG, much like high level characters get to fight the Praetorian AVs. I would love to have missions where I could fight against the evil alternate reality AoDoJ where all of the characters have "gone bad". Again, that's a pipe dream I know. But I'd love it.

The ability to change SG colors and/or symbol after creation. I can't tell you how much gruff I took for the unpopular colors, but people like the SG name.

Something like the Permanent Teams I suggested before. Where a group of SG mates could for something like a Task Force, where they all share the same missions, clues, and contacts. With the difference that as long as at least one hero remains in the Permanent Team, people can quit and join, but once they do they lose access to their own missions, clues, etc... and instead use the shared pool.

Quiting the game, lagging out, etc... wouldn't matter as when the hero logged back in he/she'd retain their RSK/SK status as a member of the team.

In essence, this would a team to share the stories - instead of just one member getting the story and the rest only helping on missions.

1) A note section next to the person's name in the SG. They had this in EQ, the officers ocould say "so-and-so's alt", or "needs help getting key for X". Let either the player or the officer update it. It would be ncie to be able to tell everyone when you are out of town, when youd like to organize an event, etc.

2) Ability for someone other than the highest ranking officer to change the MOTD.

I have been Leader of my SG since may and I have a lot of suggestions that I would like to mention, as far fetched as they may be, but here goes:

I would like to form alliances with Other SG's. Being able to toggle between the allianced SG members window to see who is online. I would like SG's to be able to form a task force based on the highest member of the team asl long as they are in the same SG. Possible SG based missions.

SG history made public as too how the SG has been around. Maybe some type of award/badge stating a certain time the SG has been established.

Add the ability to demote a SG Leader, currently you cannot as far as I know.
Possibly a visual effect so when you click on a Leader of an SG it states the he/she is a SG Leader.

SG RESPEC....this would be cool to possibly be able to change colors or logos, if the SG did a TF to accomplish this.

SG members Health/endurance statistics as if we were on a team. We could see the progress of our members while battling in the field.

Possibly be able to put our SG name on our uniform somewhere as part of our SG colors.

OHHHH Statesy, you made me happy asking this question, well, let's not fool around, let's get to it!!!

#1) Ability from SG Creator to be able to Demote/Promote/Remove Heroes, no mater they're rank, from the SG whether they are online or not.

#2) An exclusive SG E-Mail ability, as Message of the day is too short, and it would be nice to be able to whip up an E-Mail just to SG members.

#3) The SG Alliance Chat. A Chat that when a SG was invited, they would be added to a certain tab, and have a specific chat color. If anyone in the Alliance Chat "shouts out" anyone from that specific SG would/could see it, and respond back.

#4) 1 to 3 more Rank positions for SG ---- I.E.> SG Creator, SG Captain, SG Recruiter, SG General/Leader, etc.

#5) The ever-mentioned SG Vault where we can deposit/store Influence and Enhancements

#6) The Ability to change the colors of, and the symbol of your SG (Maybe this can be a mission where up to 8 SG members partake in, to get the ability to change it, as the citizens of Paragon wouldnt know them if they abruptly changed, like a trial to gain back popularity of they're SG? Okay maybe shooting in the dark with this idea of a mission)

#7) To have all Symbols availible for your SG to choose from. From my knowledge the Maple Leaf and the Fist are currently not availible.

#8) SG Costume option - a Panel, where the SG leader or creator of the SG can set a SG Costume from the hero creator that all heroes can get besides just the 2 color choices we crently have. So basically, take out the 2 colors, and let us be able to make a SG costume with up to 3 colors. WOOT!!!

#9) FOR THE LOVE OF CoH, Make the SG limit from 75 to 100, PLZ!?!?!?!

Don't limit the SG to 75 characters...limit it to 75 unique accounts. This would clear up pretty much everyones complaints about super group size.

To avoid abuse of this, I would have rank decay. How it would work is if a character isn't logged on for an entire month, their rank decays by one step. If the only leader decays the oldest, ranking member would be auto-promoted to leader.

Also, even with the obvious twink-fest it would become, I think we need a SG vault that the leader can give withdrawal permissions to.

Finally, we need something for SGs to do! INSTANCED RAIDING CONTENT! Single-set uber enhancements.


The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

I'd really like to see a slightly different level of /hide.

Hide can be very useful in a few places in the game right now, say against Hami, to avoid spectators/spammers/griefers. Most people turn it on when they enter Eden.

HOWEVER

While hidden you probably don't want to be hidden from your SG, especially if they are the people supporting you in your raid. Selecting your SGs spotter except by finding him in a tight cluster consisting of the rest of your SG is not easy.

When the new raids and group vs group comes out this is going to be applicable beyond Hamidon, so I'd really like to see either a change to the current /hide (so you are hidden from everyone except your SG) OR a second level of /hide where you hide from the server as a whole, but not from your SG.

Ideally, it would be nice to be able to make a hide list, but probably more effort than its worth on both sides.

I want to second the Nemesis option and kick myself for not thinking of it first.

It could offer special bosses snuck into missions like Void Stalkers are now.

Random Ambushes

Nemesis missions even better.

Full on Super group battles verses the chosen faction … dare I say it … woot.

I think this would only work if you had a 1-for-1 trade-in system, or a log/limit of who took what and how often. I'm all for helping out alts and lowbies, but without checks and balances it would get abused by some people who would just take and take with replinishing the stock. Make the limits customizable by the leader. A SG of 5-10 would probably want higher limits than a SG of 50-60...

Otherwise I like all of the suggestions so far. Particularly the SG Costume slot and SG specific content.

1 - E-mail the whole SG at once.

2 - A "message board" where ranked members can post things to be read. The message of the day does a bit of this, but it would be great to have a real SG message board.

3 - The ability to info folks in your SG when they are offline/in another zone. I'd love to read all of the origin stories for my SG mates.

4 - A tweak to the color/style of the selection box when you've targeted someone in your SG. Maybe display their name in another color?

5 - Some ability to mark spots on the map which can be seen/targeted by folks in your SG. Folks on your team can always target you to find you in the map, but if there were multiple teams in the same SG, they'd have a hard time meeting up.

There has been lots of talk of letting people remove leaders and such that are inactive. But if both the leaders and the Creator are inactive, then what do you do? I would like to see a vote system in place. Where the members of the SG are asked upon signing in to vote out an inactive member or vote in an active one. This can apply to everyone, not just leaders and creators. This way the members themselves can vote out inactive people or at least vote someone else into a leadership position. Set a percentage level for approval... say 51% of members approve then it takes effect. Prevents abuse because no one person can kick out a leader or creator, and no one person can assume control... without the approval of most of the active members.

Can I throw this request in for general use?

Many times I have wished that the symbol appeared small and on the breast (like when you use the suit) even if it's for a Tights or Leather costume. Maybe a button to toggle where you want your symbol?

Limit the SG to 75 accounts rather than 75 characters. That will let everybody bring their alts into the SG and still guarantee that there are no more that 75 online at any time.

To make this work there needs to be a way to tell from the SG window that multiple characters are from the same account. There are two ways I can think of to do this: Put the Global Chat handle in the SG window or assign each account a number indicating the order of joining (so the SG creator is 1, next account is 2, etc.)

To these fantastic ideas, I'd like to add (some taken from other posts):

I find it kind of disturbing that his rights (as a non-paying customer) take precidence over mine (as a paying supergroup leader) or those of my group (paying players).

[*] Supergroup sized missions. I want a scalable trial that requires anywhere from 10-30 players to complete. It should also accept SK's and RSK's to guarantee the widest possible participation.

[*] More expanded permissions/Ranks; The ability to set an individual/rank with specific Cans and Can nots. This could prevent unwanted abuse of administrative powers, make recruitment more convenient, allowcertain ranks to only kick ranks below them, etc.

I would like SG missions with SG rewards.
The missions would be long, story-arc type missions that could require multiple teams in multiple places over, possibly, multiple days. The reward for completing the mission could be access to special, SG costume options, minor, non-combat temporary powers, access to new stores, or access to instanced hunting areas.

I would like SG v SG competition.
A SG could start of series of missions linked with another SG's series of missions. Based how one SG acts in one set of missions, the other SGs mission could change. For example, SG bashes up a Council base to get a clue. When SG2 goes to investigate Council, they find security has been beefed up due to recent raids.

Lots of good suggestions here, but I want one thing above all else:

Alliance Chat

I want this for a simple reason. My main character has a certain "flavor" that doesn't fit with the SG all of my alts are in. Leaving her (now completely vacant) SG and putting her in the other one would be as wrong as putting Ghost Rider, The Hulk, or Wolverine in the Fantastic Four.

Well... for more than just a really fun 4 issue gimmick to increase sales, anyway.

I want to keep her current SG for flavor reasons, but have an alliance so that I still can easily get ahold of competent people to help me with the AVs that show up every other mission these days.

Alliance Chat would allow us to maintain a comic-bookish size to Super Groups, but have the benefits of a standard MMORPG Guild.

Haven't read all the above, but the first dozen or so didn't have this, and it's HUGE:

ALLOW SUPERGROUP FOUNDERS THE ABILITY TO CHANGE LOGOS AND SUPERGROUP COLORS BY REVISITING SUPERGROUP FORMATION REPS!!!!!

Also, add numbers, letters, maple leaf, and an EMPTY slot for the emblem selection screen.

Potentially add the OPTION of using the supergroup emblem OR character's CURRENT emblem in the Supergroup costume mode. This would allow characters WITH non emblems on their chest (like the jewel or bandolier) and still able to participate in the costume mode.

This is a longshot... but maybe add costume options that are ONLY for Supergroups... like specific brooches, certain patterns for tops and bottoms, shoulder pads, helmets, etc... Sort of like what Hero Corps and Freedom Corps have!

I like this better than the extra costume slot option.

I can see a couple of ways of doing the extra costume slot. One would be to have the SG Leader dictate the costume. This would be bad because some types of characters really need to make alterations for role playing reasons or just to make it look sane. The other would be to leave it open, but then it's likely to be treated as just another costume slot.

Rather than try and make a special character slot with special restrictions, I think it would be better just to let us define how our SG colors work with each existing slot.

Ditto on the problem of the SG symbol looking awful on women with low-cut costumes. All symbols actually look bad with that and the SG forces the character to have one. The symbol should be moved further down or maybe removed completely with those costume options.

Lots of good suggestions. Only one I've wanted that hasn't been mentioned:

Let the SG leaders be able to invite through E-Mail. Or something like that. I've had problem with the SG leader playing at different times. So if you get recruited through a forum for example, you don't have to keep logging in in the hope of being on at the same time as the SG leader.
