Super Group additions

They do not have to accept the TP if the option is off, I have it on, but new people may not know about it, and will suddenly be TPed by anyone that can target them. This can happen in groups now too, but at least you know to not group with that person. Also the prompt window for this and blind group invites gets in the way while fighting, so again it's intrusion is far more irksome then it's minimal benefit. If you ignore the griefer but do not know that you can turn the TP on, can they still TP you even if ignored? I do not know here of course. Also how much good would it even be? You can target your teammate from almost anywhere in zone by using the team window to target them. TPing on the street would require you to be able to target them, so it would be very short ranged.

I am sorry if it appears I am attacking you Voodoocompany but the gains of this idea are overwhelmed by the drawbacks, and turn a good idea in theory to not so good in practice.

Three things:

1) Ability to design and create a SG Uniform, not just the colors! Tops, Bottoms with colors and emblem (as is now). Gloves, boots, head and capes are default to the players current costume.

I've seen several SG's running around in a standard uniform and it is an awesome sight for sure! It would be a nice quality of life and distinguishing trademark enhancement.

2) Ability to choose SG only missions! These would not be your standard "need a team of 8", or trying to pickup people for teaming. No. This would be specific missions for Super Groups. Possibly handed out by a PCC representative? There's something to think about!....hmmmm

3) Ability to invite another SG to team (temporarily) for Task Force or Trials. Two or more SG's banding together, organized and everything! Wow!

See you in the game!

Supergroup uniforms.

Change the "Enter Supergroup mode" button. Instead of putting on new colors, how bout a suit? That the leader of the group has designed. And then you can go to settings, and change your costume. BUT, some parts can't be changed, the leader makes some parts mandatory, and others optional.

If it's already been suggested, I apologize, but I'd like the option to not have to choose a chest symbol.

I don't much like any of the current ones, so I guess you could also consider that a more/different symbols, and the ability to change the size and placement of symbols, if your SG has one, kind of like the 'X' symbol on some of the X-men's belts in the comic (but not anything that would constitute trademark or copyright infringement- maybe the ability to move the symbol to the upper left chest and make it smaller, that type of thing).

Perhaps a shoulder patch like placement?

Like the idea of a member by account instead of Hero, but with this added. Have it so which alts can join is a choice that is mutual between both parites. I have an alt in a different supergroup and want him only there as well as there are themed groups that won't want all alts in it. Has to be more than all or nothing.

Like the group stats in the kiosk idea. Maybe also can be used for recruiting. Each group that is looking for members can post a short blurb on what the group is about, etc. When group is full or all members are inactive for set amount the request goes away so there aren't millions of groups.

Group bonuses either for all in same group or better bonuses for members based on longevity(like an archer and a shield slinger that team-up and work well together).

Supergroup only missions, badges and contact(s). Have the missions and the contacts recyclable, So 6 months down the road when you have new or alt members you can start the contact or missions again. Doesn't have to be the same exact but same flavor/level.

More connection between alt groups and main with promotion ability.

Set-up extra billboards(or other means) and give supergroups some exposure through deed or randomly in a public way.

Some are legends because of their posts, others just post becoming legends in their own mind.

No time to read this whole section, but I have things I would like to see happen in MY Super Group

1 - I want a base hospital as an option when I am defeated.

2 - I want super group vehicles, possibly a member only option to use the tram to access the base as well.

3 - Ability to add more ranks, new symbols and mottos as well

4 - I want base weapons please to repel raids.

5 - possibly a very expensive ability to travel between regions from the base with multiple exits to multiple zones. A door to Steel Canyon and Founder's Falls for example. This coudl be related to the tram or vehicles mentioned above

6 - allowing teams greater than 8 in number if all members of the same super group, perhaps as many as a dozen.

7 - teams all of the same super group getting mild defense, accuracy and damage bonuses to represent their increased team work abilities similiar to the leadership pool.

8 - the vault is a must, pooling resources would be great. also, the vault influence account should increase by 1% of the reward granted to any member, as their glory reflect back on the group as a whole.

(1) I'd do alliances via global chat. I haven't tested GC out, but I'd like to see GC work so that a SG leader can "subscribe" their whole SG to a custom channel that an allied SG uses. A player could turn the channel off and on, but it would be on by default.

(2) You should be able to demote/boot inactive leaders if you are also a leader.

(3) Customizable SG colors after registration. Very sad this can't work.

(4) More stuff for SGs to do together. Fixing the broken way exemplaring works in Task Forces would be a big help.

(5) More ranks. (At least one more level)

(6) Ability to get notifications for SG signons.

Letting the creator of the SG have the ability to demote the top-level commanders of the SG or possible kick inactive ones would be nice. I have 3 leaders in my SG now who haven't played in 2-3 months and, with new members rolling in, I could use the space.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this would be nice.

Also, the SG email would be nice. (one email to the whole SG)

More Ranks (1-10) that let us have different responsibilites, and the option to go with just the three that we have.

An inactive list that is different than the 75 active slots. After 60 days offline, you are automatically put into Inactive Status. If you return, any leader may Reactivate you. If they don't, you can quit or remain on the Inactive roster.

Team Uniform- Or, at least an option team Uniform Item, like a Visor, Helmet, Shoulder Pad, or belt.

Team special power/Gadget- Paid for by the SG, these gadgets give a low level power/temp power for use. (Thinking Legion Flight Rings)

Insp and enhancement bank.

Mass transist device-Quin Jet, or T-Porter, that lets you go to any Zone from the Base (expensive to buy and maintain)

Like most I would like to be able to kick leaders who no longer play CoH. Having a hero in the group that hasn't been on for over 130 days is kinda ridiculous.

More Ranks would help in that too... Would be nice to have a promoting rank that can't kick and a master rank who can kick the Boss ranks.

Unique Chest symbols for SGs are a good idea. The SG costume is nice, but it wouldn't always fit with every SG theme... Though I would like to see unique costume peices availale to SG memebrs (could be earned through this or that...). That causes problems when a member leaves or is kicked from the group though...

SG PvP events are planned I know (Base invasion/protection), but let's get some SG PvE going as well.

I would't mind seeing a SG regristy at City Hall, were someone can look up SGs on the server... that way new characters can find a home easier. It would have to be truncated to SGs of a certain size or something (No need to list endless 1 member groups) or even make being listed voluntary, in which case various stats on the SG could also be added.

Have a SG signal. Like Batman, but to your SG say in a hairy situation PVP or other things when in need of help(also showing your location). But done in a way to all those in the sg online. Some kind of flashing signal etc.

i'd like to see to have more than 3 title ya leader captin and member are ok but wat about like henchmen and i want to be able to demote leaders scince I'm the sg founder

There have been several posts about SG members voting out leaders. That is a horrible idea. If you don't like an SG - quit and form your own. If I create an SG, it is mine. If I handle it inappropriately, then I will see my numbers dwindle until nobody is left. Then I am in an SG of 1. I do agree with SG leaders kicking other SG leaders, but members voting out leaders doesn't make sense. Democracy can be shown by people leaving the SG, not taking it over from the person who started it all.

Did not read all the thread, so be gentle if anyone stated the idea before me...

SG missions. Make special contact that give mission only SGs can do.

More New Supergroup Features
Supergroup Vault
You're a hero with supergroup connections now, and with connections comes influence! At any of the recently opened First Bank of Paragon locations, you can make deposits and withdraws from a shared Super Group account! In the interest of the Bank there is a mandatory processing fee applied to all deposits.
This processing fee, based on security level, would help to alleviate "twinking" to a degree. A limit could be placed on the vault/accounts capacity, depending on the size of your current roster.

Supergroup Vault Expanded
All that needs to be said is this: when villains start popping up in Paragon later this year, what better way for a villain to cause havoc than to break into one of these banks and steal the funds of a Super Group of heroes?

One problem with a supergroup costume (as opposed to colors) is that you'd really have to have one for each base model, and someone (I guess the Owner or all Leaders) would be the one to set it.

The real problem would be that a guy who was a robot might suddenly NOT look like a robot because the default costume exposes a face and has tights instead of power armor. They would have to use one of their regular slots to come up with a compromise where they still look "in costume" and still look like a Robot. Or a Vampire. Or whatever.

It would be convenient in this case to allow costume copy inside the editor of any costume. For example, lets say I'm editing my level 20 costume slot. I could at any time during the edit click a check box that let me copy costume 1 to the current costume slot I'm editing, or costume 4, or the SG costume. That would allow you to easily import the SG costume over as a starting point and then use the "reset" button on individual pieces to come to a compromise without having to totally wing it.

I would love to see a purpose of wearing the SG colors instead of just for looks. Maybe a "Synergy" bonus for each person on the Team wearing the SG colors in the team?

Right now, I use my SG colors to show I'm in debt, and as my main is a blaster, he's wearing it all the time

What tweaks would you like to see for Super Groups?

What new features?

[/ QUOTE ]

We need quality of life features... SG-wide email, Event calendars, Roster exports to other apps/web, uniforms by rank, cross-SG communication...

The members of our SG are now sprawled across five in-game SG's because of the 75 hero limit. Many of the members enjoy playing some alts, and many have specific characters for certain events/play sessions. The leaders of our SG pour countless hours into managing this at the expense of being able to play and enjoy the game.

Make SG management easier.

Because it is so hard to give the option to kick former leaders when they grow inactive, why not simply kick anyone who hasn't logged in in 90 days? It is not like they have their toons deleted, they are merely being kicked from a supergroup. No big deal.

1. SG founder has the ability to kick inactive leaders.

2. Raise the SG limit well above the current 75.

3. Alliance system. You would be able to view an allied SG's supergroup window, alliance channel.

4. The ability to change SG colors and/or a SG uniform slot.

5. SG only missions/Bosses .... similar to Hami and hydra.

These would be a good start States!

When leaders and captains speak, their text color should be a slightly different color from the normal SG blue.

Ugh, I really regret not seeing this thread earlier. I am already a good 15 pages too late, and I apologize if I repeat anything said already.

The whole "leaders being able to go inactive and remain untouched" thing needs to be addressed. My SuperGroup started as a group of friends, so we just promoted eachother up to the top rank so everyone had an equal standing. That's bit me in the butt, though, because only 2 people of that original group of 10 people still play. We've got folks who haven't logged in since the first month of release stuck on the roster, with no way to remove them.

An auto-demote system is really what I would suggest. Just run something every week during a maintenance window that sorts through the SG DB and bumps people down from leadership positions if they meet certain requirements. My recommendation would be: Hasn't logged in for 30 days, and there is at least 1 other leader.

Maybe something more elegant and simple would be a "disband SG" option? If you're top-ranked/founded the group, you ought to be able totally wipe the group away and begin again if you wanted.

Hell, the SG creation process needs tweaking too. Right now you can't "check out" what a logo and colors would look like on your character; the moment you hit "next" (or accept, whatever) and get to pick how your toon will look in SG mode the SG is created and if you made a mistake in the logo or colors you have to completely disband and start from scratch.

The inclusion of a $SGMotto variable so we finally have a need for the motto would be great.

2. The ability to join multiple super groups.

[/ QUOTE ]

This would be cool if it could be coupled such that specific costumes were tied to a certain SG membership. Put on costume #1 and you're in one SG. Put on costume #2, and you're part of another.

(although this opens the door for a zillion exploits now that I think about it)

- More than 3 ranks, maybe 5 or 6.
- Being able to set pemissions to each rank (able to promote, demote, invite to sg, etc)
- Setting a message for each member (maybe letting people know who his alt is, or letting people know he's gone on vacation)
- Be able to send an email to the whole SG.
- Text box for the SG message of the day and SG motto to allow more text.
- Fix the Column that said when they joined (currently bugged for my SG)
- A handful of repeatable SG missions with *special* enemies where they con the same color to everybody (enemies start white con, then move up to yellow, orange, red, etc. as the mission progresses). SG's usually have variable levels that make teaming semi-difficult sometimes, this might help that.
- Supergroup trials and taskforces. Trial's like the Fautline trial that was rumored involving SG's. TF like for instance two missions require teams to run through at the same time. (could add in "have to disarm bomb in both bases simultaenously, or the computer console in this base opens the door in the other group's mission, but only for a minute.

And of course....
