Super Group additions
When bases go live, I'd like to see the ability to 'buy' statues of certain members to be placed outside of the base. I've heard alot of people discussing they want statues of themselves around the city. This would be a way to make the bases more like the rest of Paragon City (love all those statues)
Flare Girl

Queen - Guardians of Avalon
Justice Server
It would be very nice for members of the Supergroup to be able to include at least some alts without those counting against the SG cap. Multiple characters from the same account should only count once against the SG cap.
A fully integrated web-base of all SG's by server would ROCK!

AN SG BANK! AN SG BANK! Damnit, please give us an SG Bank!
An SG trading interface that would insure that the correct type of enhancements match the members they go to (automatically). Player A dumps his surplus ENH's in the bank. Player B has flagged himself as needing Science DO's for DMG and ACC. Those type would go directly to B's invenetory or 'locker' in the SG HQ.

More powerful Leader tools!
When teamed with another member of your SG your % of experience rises in relation to how many got points from your fight.
For example:
We have an 8 man team and 6 of the team are in the mission, 1 is training and 1 is traveling to the mission. We "gang up" on a group and 6 of us are in the zone fighting and recieve experience. We get a 6% bonus for having done damage as a TEAM.
This does not allow for Power Levelers to get extra bonus because you only get the bonus IF YOU DO DAMAGE or REPAIR DAMAGE.
Now your team is - amazing concept - gaining more experience BY WORKING TOGETHER. So you Buff, Debuff, heal or attack and you and you team get 1% added for everyone that helps.
Talk about encouraging grouping. Tell a player he can get 8% more points if he gets help and you will see people kicking afk players to bring in an active one. You will see many more large teams because then the big missions full of creatures would also give a bonus at the end for all defeated.
Thats what I would do is add the bonus at the end with the mission completed so they wouldn't pay to farm them.
Ranks I'd like to have:
(totaling 6 ranks)
Probationary member - this is a person who has the same functionality as a regular member, but the SG name does not appear on their character visibly. So they're a "secret" SG member. Used for people you're considering but don't know well enough to let them mess with your SG's reputation yet. Also useful for bad behaving members to put them "on probation"
Full Member - as currently.
Recruiting officer - able to invite people into the group at probationary status only. Also able to demote full members to probationary members.
Full officer - able to promote probationary members to full members, and able to kick out anyone below their own rank, or demote anyone (recruiting officer and below). Also able to invite.
Staff officer - able to promote anyone to any rank (full officer and lower), able to change the message of the day, able to demote / kick out someone of same rank or higher if they've been gone 30 days or longer (to clear out roster). Staff officers are also allowed to set and remove alliances with other SGs. If a staff officer demotes or kicks the leader, they become the new leader.
Leader/founder - only one person can hold this rank. They are able to change the SG colors and logo, change the motto, and do everything else below. They are also able to pass on the leadership to another player in the SG, and automatically become a staff officer when they do this. Only the leader can promote anyone to staff officer. The leader can also do everything listed for all other ranks.
Couple things:
1. Ability to see info of any character in SG whether online or not or in range. Seems reasonable that the character would "register" their info with the SG when they join, and it would be fun to read member backgrounds, etc.
2. Alliances and Alliance chat - everybody wants this one, and I know it can be simulated with channels, but at least add the mechanics to make the channel more SG-friendly (i.e. allow higher ranking members to add/delete ppl from the channel, allow auto-add on SG-join, etc).
3. Instead of one-click email to SG members, an SG bulletin board makes sense to me. Just implement it as a shared inbox for email that anyone can read, and no one (or maybe only high ranks) can delete from. Then you just have to send email to my_sg_inbox, not to literally everyone in the SG.
4. SG vault - another one everyone wants. Allow players to deposit inf and enh that others can take.
5. Change membership limit from 75 characters to 75 players (or more). That way alts can join an SG without blowing the limit away. But keep the ability for alts to join alternate SGs if they so choose.
6. SG sections of terminals. Give stats for SGs separate from people - SG with most defeats, SG with most heals, etc. Maybe also add somewhere where SGs can allow noteworthy accomplishments to be optionally announced. Like, if an SG member leads a successful shard TF, they can add it to their publicly viewable SG accomplishment board, and anyone can view it at the terminals. "SG Persistent_Beavers completed Task Force Insomnia in the shard at 3:06am February 2, 2005" or something like that.
7. SG-level raid content - everyone would like this one too, and I know raid level content is coming, so maybe this one is premature until it arrives.
8. SG info tab - I think it would be nice if SG leaders could make info for the SG like players can make background info for characters, and when you join, an SG tab appears in your info that other ppl can click on to see what your SG is about. Cosmetic, but simple.
9. SG costumes - the color scheme idea is nice, and I don't want to eliminate it, but having the ability for the SG leaders to make a costume (male/female/huge) that worked like an extra costume slot for SG members would be nice. I know a tricky thing is changing the costume features while 75 players are using them in game, but you could make it so that the player would have to go back to SG headquarters to get the new one when changes are made, or the change happens automatically at logout/login.
10. SG registration library - I would like to be able to to go Galaxy City and see a directory of all SGs. If this is too much in-game, why not add it to the web site.
OK, thats more than a couple things

Posting my support of a suggestion I've seen a couple of times in this thread:
Allow 75 accounts into one SG, not 75 hereos. That will make altaholics happy without threatening the devs 75v75 limit on future PvP raids.
Here's just some things I wouldn't mind to see... Special missions for Super Groups both big and small SG's, the ability to remove/demote inactive leaders, ability to change SG colors with out having to remake entire SG, more ranks, and alliance chat.
The ability to belong to a "sub-group". You'd belong to your original group, but you could also join sub-groups that relate to your character. For example, Swiss Army Wife is in New Amazone (an all-female group), but she could also belong to a sub-group of International superheroes.
Here's what I'd like to see:
- The ability to browse through supergroups stats and members on the official City of Heroes web page (displaying names, archetypes, descriptions, badges, etc.).
- When the global chat goes live, the *option* for each character to decide to display or not display his or her global chat name in the in-game supergroup list, and the ability to sort the supergroup list by that name. (This will be a great help toward keeping track of players and their alts.)
- I would like to see a "Founder" rank introduced that existed above the Leader rank--even if that rank had all the same perks as Leaders with the addition of being able to demote and remove Leaders.
- Expand of the supergroup membership to 150 characters (or more). (Short rationale: If we presume each member averages 3 alts in the supergroup, membership of 75 only allows 25 people in a group while 150 allows for 50--a much more appropriate size for MMOG "guilds.")
- The ability to add, promote, demote, or remove characters that are offline.
- The ability to change my supergroup colors without having to destroy the group, start over, and struggle through re-adding all the members.
- The ability to change my supergroup symbol without having to destroy the group, start over, and struggle through re-adding all the members.
- The ability to see a character's supergroup rank floating above his head alongside the supergroup name.
- Supergroup Headquarters that are instanced zones accessible by light rail, as many missions now currently are. Imagine a supergroup paying influence for a meager HQ in the middle of a city block (or woodlands, island, industrial zone, sewers, etc.).
<ul type="square"> - As they put more influence into the HQ, it's interior AND exterior becomes more elaborate and impressive.
- Non-supergroup teammates and others (temporary?) could be given access to my group's HQ, allowing me to show off our accomplishments while giving them an idea of what can be accomplished.
<ul type="square">[*]As the supergroup gains levels, it gains supergroup-shared contacts and missions like a character. Failing a mission might incrue debt against the supergroup level. Perhaps the missions reflect the sort of villain which the members defeat most often, allowing for a nemesis feeling of sorts. I'd love to see a high level mission arc where my supergroup fights evil alternate reality versions of themselves.[*]As the group gains levels, it also gains special supergroup colors, logos, HQ decorations, costume options, temporary powers, and the like.[*]Supergroup mission souvenirs would become more than text in a list, becoming visible trophies that can be placed within the HQ.[*]As the supergroup leveled, the leader/founder could purchase supergroup-specific meager Accolade or "power pool" style powers for his group.[*]Members could "recall" from any zone directly to the supergroup HQ (and vice-versa?) thanks to a shared supergroup vehicle (think of the Avengers Quinjet, the X-Men Blackbird and the JLU Javelin).
[*]A shared supergroup "vault" wherein members of a supergroup could store & share enhancements and influence. Perhaps the existing member levels would affect who could store & retrieve what sort of stored item(s).
[*]When PvP is introduced, it may be handy to have the ability to flag only certain members of the supergroup as PvP-enabled (rather than creating a separate PvP version of the supergroup. If Leaders/Founders are given the ability to pick and choose which perks various ranks get, perhaps this would simply be a PvP checkbox for a given rank.
This is a little off-topic, but I'd also like to see any member of a team (or at least a team leader) be able to place a marker on their map that can be seen by all members of that team.
First up are superbases. Ya, they sound cool but what exactly are we going to do with them? If there isn't anything there to make a superbase a superbase, it will end up as empty as the dance party. Purchasable things (with influ) such as supercomputer that can show stats, graphical map of member locations in realtime, message board, and give impromptu supergroup missions for realtime threats to the city. Rec/study/practice room to hone our new skills. Supergroup emergency room instead of the hospital. Teleporters to different sections of the city or world. Garage for vehicles. Waiting/security checkpoint room for prospective and visiting members. Holo room to fight holographic versions of villians to try their skills against (no risk==no exp, and must capture enough villian of a type to unlock it too). Land line phone where we can call contacts that we don't have their cell phone number for. The list could go on. Point is, make the superbases meaningful.
Another item: linked supergroup missions. Not necessarily have a mission where you can have more than 8 members on a team, but a chain of missions that the supergroup can only do that requires 4 or more members on any given mission. Just like the contacts now, but for the whole supergroup.
Thanks for asking for input Statesman. 6 stars for you and your great work on this game!
I've accidentally kicked people before (I use WASD to move, and S is to kick from supergroup in context menu), how about a confirmation before kicking from a SG.
Note: This was happening when I use to play back in August, not sure if there is a confirmation now.
My main suggestion is for a SG vault or bank of some sort, where we can pool our resources NOW, before getting an HQ in CoV. There are administrative ways of minimizing griefing, especially if it's made clear at deposit that the funds and/or enhancements may not be there when you come back for them, with another toon, etc. I'd also like an option for the leader of a SG to be able to 'tax' the influence of the members as an automatic deposit into the SG vault, with a cap of, say, never getting that member's personal influence amount below a certain threshold, possibly scaling with levels. The leader can also set the maximum withdrawal amount members can get in a single day (including him/herself). This can all be in one of the two or three issues leading up to CoV, but you may also want to get it set up before beta starts. It wouldn't be too early.
Otherwise, definitely larger groups, or the ability to ally with other SGs we put our alts in. We have a main SG, an alt SG, and another SG for lvl 50s. Many of us have even more alts. Global Chat fixes some things, but it seems too cumbersome. Why not have the alliance chat where a leader of, say, the main SG invites a leader of the alt SG to join the alliance, and then there's an Alliance channel users can just click on to chat? It seems obvious, and I think the writing is on the wall for this one.
I'd also like for these Alliances to cross servers, if there are future plans (as I hope there are) for character transfers between servers. The SG names are not the same group on all servers, but an Alliance could be, so that would be appropriate.

I want to second that. It can be a generic statement of greatness, but I think it would be great to have among the usual chatter.
Yes! SG Bank or Vault. How about just creating a "bank" like building in a few zones. ( like Atlas, Talos, and Brickstown so low, medium, and high levels can always be around a bank ) where any player could go store in enhancements and whatnot. ( it would also add depth )
But add another "section" of the bank. like a few bank tellers, and then another bank teller in the corner of the room, Supergroup Bank Teller, which you could store enhancements, inspirations, money, etc. that people could use.
Now of course when bases come online the supergroup vault would be obviously obsolete.
ability to change the supergroup colors, titles, etc.
a few more leader only commands.
the ability to elect off a guild leader and elect another guild leader.
the ability to elect people out of guilds.
the ability for the guild leader to demote high ranking officers in the guild.
different SG colorsets for the costume
an SG costume itself. ( would be neat and wouldnt take up any other 4 costume places )
Alliances and Alliance chat!
Alliance Email!
One problem I always have is that I outrank everyone in my SG by 10 levels. These are cool people who I would love to play with, but I can only SK one at a time. Exemplaring down doesn't work because (a) they're anywhere from level 6 to level 39 and (b) the benefits of Ex'ing are zilch for a debtless hero.
Suggestion: SG mission mode where everyone in the group has to be in the SG and everyone fights at the mission owner's level.
For example, I could invite SGmates of level 6, 21, and 39 into my SG mission group. We're all normal level until we enter the 39's mission, then we're all Combat Level 39.
Unlike Exemplaring, this would provide normal XP for the relative level of the baddies (white, yellow, etc.). This would also keep me from having to pick one SGmate friend and leaving the others out of our fun ("Sorry Green Arrow and Aquaman, I'm already sidekicking Martian Manhunter...").
Super Groups should be able to go on missions together and fight arm-in-arm regardless of their power!
I know this was said before but I would LOVE to see SG costumes be a completly diffrent one then the one your toon starts with. that would give it a more uniform feel
An added power for the SG leaders.
When a SG leader is grouped with 4 or more SG mates he/she will have a minor version of all 4 leadership powers that will only affect the SG members. This will add a bit of realism since the leader should know how his team should work, but not the random other person.
This power would be always on and wouldn't cost any endurance, but would only have a fraction of effectiveness of the leadership power pool. Maybe make it an allocade that has to be earned, but can be obtained by level 30.
A website system that keeps track of ingame characters.
It could have all their game info on the site. Plus have how many of each mob a person has arrested, how many hours they have played, etc. We know all this data is stored so why not make use of it?
For your character to appear on the site you would have to register so as to not have anyone who didn't want their info posted getting upset about it.
Set it up where you go to the site, choose the supergroup, then choose the member of that supergroup to the information of the individual. It could also have overall supergroup information like number of each archtype within the supergroup.
UO has this sort of thing and it is ancient so I know CoH could come up with something similar but more awesome and creative.
1. A way to connect supergroup, as through alliances.
2. Multiple supergroup affiliation (would require some significant re-coding, I'm sure; possibly one primary and be able to be a "reserve member" of other groups?).
3. A way to create a new leader in an existing supergroup if the leader has quit. Rules would need tuning, but as an example: if no leader has logged on in 100 days or if no leader has had a paid account in 30 days, the captain who has been in the SG the longest becomes the new leader, or the member who has been in the SG the longest if there are no captains (on in 100 days or paid within 30). Just a sketch on that idea, but it would be nice to be able to keep a SG name and group even if a leader quits without leaving a successor.
MORE MEMBER SLOTS! please Also more rankings maybe? Oh! how about a SG costume slot. Hmm...I find this annoying dont know about anyone else, but I like my SG color set up a certain way on certain costumes I dont like the fact that one set up effects all your costumes, that bugs me and I find myself wearing the same 2 costume when Im teamed with my SG peeps.
Not sure if this has been brought up, but:
LFSG. Kind of like LFT.
I used to have an SG, but all of the original members (except myself and one other) have since quit the game. I tried to form another SG with just myself and the remaining member, but she's been on less and less (going a month or more without logging in.)
I tried joining another existing SG, but was ignored by all of the members except the one person who invited me.
So maybe a recruitment center, or a bulliten board with active stats on the SGs? I know people post on the forums "Our SG is recruiting" - but how do I know if it's the right SG for me? What time are their members active during the day (or night?) How often to SG members appear on a team together, and for how long?
I know, this is likely an impossible feature, requiring far too much data mining and blahblahblah. But hey, you asked.

The Nemesis concept:
Each individual player and/or supergroup may declare a specific villian group their "nemesis." By declaring a group as your "nemesis", you gain certain abilities (possibly based on AT), and potentially certain weaknesses.

Brilliant!
To expand on this idea and also bring in some vision. Think about the new Justice League unlimited as an SG in COH. They have what at top level SG should have. A base with teleportation/vehicles to get to any area (or mission) and the ability to hand out missions to its members.
So how do we take these ideas and turn them into a system that starts out small and at the top level gets to JLU status or beyond?
Level 1 SG. When making an SG, its currently free to register. Thats fine, thats level 1. Currently just a way to have a new list of friends and a chat. (I really think the current SG system is pretty poor)
Level 2 - A base of operation. You need to buy a base and as touched on in COV it costs influence to persuade the city to give you a place rent free.
Level 3 - A SG needs to expand, but just using each members influence is.... boring and puts the burden on some level 50s that already have super bucks. What we need is when you get your fist base its a run down building in KR or Hollows, its a small room with a table and one NPC. This is your Paragon city liason that the SG members must do missions through in order to increase the SGs influence. This NPC is able to give out missions to each person based on thier level. When you select this mission only SG members can be on your team or added to the team. Any influence gained by the team members is added to the SG's special influence that can be used to purchase:
Purchasable items using SG money (the same NPC as above has a list in which only the SG leaders can access).
1 Move your base to a different area.
Cost based on zone, and distance to train. (Low cost up to Moderate)
2 Add a trophey room to your SG.
On high level SG missions if your SG beats an AV and you have a trophey room a statue version of that AV is added to your trophey room with a plaque that lists date of capture and all team members for the first capture.
Cost - Moderate
3 Crey teleporter - Can send anybody that clicks on it (think crey portal in PI) to the enterance of their currently selected mission.
Cost - extreme
4 Crey personal teleporter - accolade that is given to each SG member once when they enter the base. Click this power and you automatically zone to the SG base.
Cost - extreme
5 Select a SG nemesis - as stated by solo_4114
accolade with a perm power given to each member as they enter the base for the first time. Increases the number of missions versus that nemesis as given out by the SG NPC.
Cost - high
6 SG supercomputer - replaces the NPC with a super sized computer and screen that has more missions to select from The NPC has 2 at a time, the PC has 6. This simulates the SG being hooked into more Crime prevention systems.
cost - High
7 Crey portal - Only able to purchase after you buy the nemesis. This portal acts like an instanced hazard zone (think of a tram mission with hazard zone spawn sizes). The portal only spawns mobs from the nemesis. The level of the spawns is based on the team leader that enters the portal. This portal leads to a dimension where the nemesis has taken over. Your SGs goal is to clean out the dimension and free it. On the flip side for COV the villans also get this portal and their task is to make sure they keep this dimension. This could get really complicated but could end up helping define the push and pull for PvP in COH. Because this is not in our world nobody gets any influence for any "kills" in these "missions"
Cost - extreme
8 Expand base by one room.
Work out room - just for looks, no usable features.
Dance party - smaller version of the current Rave, no exits.
Coffee shop - just for looks, no usable features.
Computer room - just for looks, no usable features.
Magic room - just for looks, no usable features.
Science room - just for looks, no usable features.
Vehicle room- just for looks, no usable features.
etc...
Cost - moderate per room added, max of X rooms.
9 Labs - these are like stores, they buy and sell enhancements based on origin.
Science lab, Magic lab, Tech lab, Gunsmith, Genetics lab.
Cost - high
10 SG vault - an NPC "store" that buys and sells enhancements for 0 infl. Great way to unload unused enhancements for other SG members without worrying if they are online.
cost - high
11 Training room - Arena so SG members can PvP spar with each other with no benefit or loss.
cost - moderate
12 Holo(Danger) room - 100x100 area that creates spawns in the center based upon a selection entered in by a person at a terminal outside the room that can look in through the glass. Through the interface the user can select spawn size, level and enemy type (council or vahz, etc). All spawns count as pets(no exp) and any defeats gain no debt. The spawns despawn when they get close to the door.
cost - high
Hospital - Instead of getting transported to the city hospitals your SG members zone to this room in your base upon defeat.
Cost - high.
Remember folks things like kicking SG leaders, changing colors etc are needed, but they should be obvious to the devs now. What this game needs more of is focused content that brings an SG together with a united plan. At first it starts with just getting enough cash to buy all the cool features, then it turns into a turf war with a COV ?SG?. This kind of content keeps the game interesting at all levels.
