Super Group additions

I agree with Istar, the idea of an SG-related TF is a GREAT one.
An all-SG calendar is also a fantastic idea, so you can plan events.
[/ QUOTE ]
I really like these ideas. SO the leaders and officers can scheduel things, and members who like it, and want to be part of the team, TF, etc, can put their names on it, so they know who will be there

With the addition of SG bases have a bank where SG Members can deposit Enhancements and Influence for other members in there SG to use.

First off I would like to Thank you for this awsome game that has kept me interested for over 8 months. I am a leader in my SG (www.allianceofheroes.com) on the Pinnacle server. I think what we would like most of all is this:
1) Alliance Chat, not just global but a chat channel you can join with any char on that server. (example in WoW you can create a channel that you can join).
2) SG only events (ie: TF's or Raids)
3) Being able to kick a non playing leader. My old SG was held hostage cuz the old leader would not leave and caused problems. Had to reform (ie new website etc. etc.).
4) More then just the 3 levels of leadership in the SG.
5) The much coveted Headquarters would be nice, with a bank and trophy area.
6) After reading the above posts it's a good idea for a 5th costume slot for the SG. However I think we should earn this right, Like complete a TF or Mission and the slot as a reward.
7) Being able to email enhancment and Influ to char's.
Thank you once again!
The ability to set notifications when sg-mates come online, similar to our friends list
If it's already been suggested, I apologize, but I'd like the option to not have to choose a chest symbol.
I don't much like any of the current ones, so I guess you could also consider that a more/different symbols, and the ability to change the size and placement of symbols, if your SG has one, kind of like the 'X' symbol on some of the X-men's belts in the comic (but not anything that would constitute trademark or copyright infringement- maybe the ability to move the symbol to the upper left chest and make it smaller, that type of thing).

<ul type="square">[*]Team-only effects (Recall Friend, Leadership pool powers, etc.) should affect SG members even if not on the team. This will help Raid-style missions immensely (like Hamidon, or raids on other SGs) when team-size is a limiting factor[/list]
[/ QUOTE ]
Small hijack, but since there is now an accept/decline pop up for these powers if the player chooses, the limitation of it only applying to a teammate should be revisited and hopefully gotten rid of.
This takes care of SuperGroups, as well as promotes the random "help your fellow hero" mentality.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definately not. I get enough blind invites as it is, mostly from PLer beggars. No one needs to get constant unwanted TP spams. Also, unless they fixed the bug, if 2 people try to TP you at once it overrides the prompt and you still get TPed, so this could be too easily abused. Making it SG only, or adding the raid set-up for multi-group raids like EQ has, would work though.
[/ QUOTE ]
Can easily put abusers on ignore, then their prompting would never show up. Bug fixes need to be taken care of regardless. My idea has merit, and benefits more than just SG people.
I've already forgotten about most of you
I'm not going to read 17 pages just to find out if someone's suggested this or not, but three pages hasn't brought it up: When a Supergroup member comes online, you should get a message like when a friend comes online.
Without browsing responses:
1. Central point to share Enhancements, Inspirations, and Influence.
2. The ability to join multiple super groups.
3. Thea ability to create a team uniform instead of just picking 2 colors and a symbol.
4. SG only symbols. Special symbols only offered for SGs
5. The ability to edit team uniforms.
6. A means to allow your alts to join a SG without going through a 3rd party.
A much higher level cap. My current SG is dividing between 2 SG's now and it's hard to hook up with everyone.
One Master Leader with ultimate access to remove other captains.
The ability to merge SG's, probably by an agreement by Master Leaders of two different groups. One of those is determined the Master Leader based on what SG is merging with another SG.
Alliances between supergroups, with its own chat channel.
Global character invite - brings all characters of that player into the SG, using the Global Chat name.
Bases (of course!)
Vaults (top priority!)
That's all I can think of at the moment, though I've read a few other nifty suggestions on this topic.
SG Adventures would be cool. This would be a series of missions that would pop up on the SG Mission Board that any member could sign up for. These would be (basically) story arcs for SGs. Any SG member should be able to read the clues from the story arc as it progresses. Admittedly this would work much better once Flashback mode is in place. Also, might need a mode to allow SG leaders to assign members to the missions, or choose mission level ranges, or both. Whatever the method, some kind of SG related missions would be great.
Along that line, SG related goals. This could be tied to badges you can only get if your SG reaches this goal. Just please do not tie it to levels, at least directly.
SG bonuses (perhaps along the leadership line) for a team of 8 that are all in the same SG.
True alliance chat, definitely.
Also, I really want to see an SG costume slot as well as a color selection. Even if this slot is only available to the SG once the SG has completed a specific SG adventure.
I also like the idea of being able to SK more than one person if they are in the same SG. This should not be tied to SG rank, however, or we will just see everyone promoted and there will not be anyone of the lower ranks.
Ability to pull up Info on any SG character, even offline
There was an idea above about using rank degredation for fixing the problem of SG leaders leaving the game, and it was a good one. To restate, basically a member loses one rank for each 30 days that he/she has not logged in. If this causes a team to be without a top rank, then promote someone from the second rank automatically.
Also, along the same line, the ability to demote yourself. We do a rotating leadership in our SG and it is irritating to have to quit the SG and be reinvited when you were the top rank just because you can't be demoted.
Vaults would be good.
A 'trophy room' where you could view souveniers of each member would be cool
An 'email all in SG' button
The ability to edit the motd without having to retype the entire thing when you mispell one word at the beginning.
The ability to change SG colors and the motto even after creation, as well as the SG costume, if it is implemented (please!)
The ability to set an audio prompt (beep) for SG messages like we have for team and tells (this is needed for all channels)
I am sure there are more, but how much of this are you actually going to read Statesman?

It DOES have merit, but too many people are going to play "abuse the noob" with this. If it was only used beneficially I would whole-heartedly concur. As it is, it's just not worth it. The small benefit of being able to TP anyone will be out-weighed by the very fact that you can TP anyone, and TP them too high so they fall and almost die, Tp them into big groups out of SK-range, Tp them out of SK range in a nasty zone, etc.
[ QUOTE ]
good point... but (Taking your Devil's advocate Hat for a sec...don't worry I'll give it back)
Would that be so bad? I mean what if you haven' promoted anyone, but that guy who was your first member at level ten and has played his way up to 50 when you disappeared off the face of the earth... I mean it could happen that that is the best thing for the group.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're right, it could happen that way, but as a betting man I'm putting my money against that possibility. If I didn't see fit to make them an Officer in the first place, do I want them making leader just because they've been there a long time? 2nd spot in 2 days I can make the Rimmer reference (yes, from R E D Dwarf, me have brain by Superadine!).

A Sponsor option, where someone can invite someone to SG on a limited basis, pending approval by SG owner or by someone with SG add permissions.

But you can't just TP *anyone*.......
The person has to accept the TP. No point in accepting a TP unless you *asked for it* or were asked if you wanted it (example, can't use a rez in the midst of mobs, so a passerby asks you if you want to be moved to safety).
Of course there are going to be abusers. And there very well could be abusers in the SG "just having some fun". Or it comes at an inopportune time?
Say something bad does happen, so you learn your lesson with one griefer........you petition him and then ignore him. You'll *never* have to deal with that guy again. Nothing can be gained by the griefer.
The point is that there are safeguards in place already, but it's limited to Teams. It's kind of redundant.
I've already forgotten about most of you

Yes, temporary SG membership. This happens in the comics, all the time, and comic books are your #1 source for this game.
Spider-Man has been in/teamed with the FF, Avengers, X-Men at one time or another.
Once CoV/PvP/base raiding comes out, this should be in.
Also, clarification and elaboration on super bases. You didn't really answer the question as asked in the "Ask Statesman #2" thread.
Just wanted to revisit this after lunching over it

The Nemesis concept:
Basics:
Each individual player and/or super group may declare a specific villain group their "nemesis." This can be broken down by Faction origin and then Specific Faction.
For example: A group wants to combat the Banished Pantheon so he chooses magic and Banished Pantheon.
During the early levels Nemesis content would be Circle of Thorns but as the group moves into Banished Range they would encounter the Pantheon earlier. After passing the Pantheons range it would revert back to Circle of Thorns. Or the Super Group could take another trial to establish a new Nemesis.
Trials could be set to establish or change who the Nemesis faction is. Scoring a major Coo against the Banished Pantheon early on they have vowed to destroy you.
Drawbacks:
Nemesis factions could cause special bosses to spawn in missions like Void Stalkers do now currently. Well work together this time if only to destroy the justice brigade.
Random Ambushes when super group members are teamed together.
Nemesis missions that super groups can select. This can be one shot stories or full arcs even trials and Super group battles verses the chosen faction.
Bonuses:
By declaring a group as your nemesis, you gain certain abilities (possibly based on AT), and potentially certain weaknesses.
Blasters and Scrapers gaining a small damage bonus when fighting a Nemesis faction
Defender buffs also gain a small bonus to an aspects specific to the Nemesis faction. Such as Toxic for Devoured Earth, Nemesis and Vahzilok etc
Only applied when on Nemesis faction missions.
Controller holds gain a small bonus to hold chances verses the Nemesis faction.
Tankers gaining an appropriate damage resistance for the factions damage type Only applied when on Nemesis faction missions.
1. A Super Group bank for influence, enhancements and inspirations.
2. A Super Group Bulletin Board.
3. Super Group chat.
Once we have SG Bases have every train station list Home as an instance.
So if I am in Atlas and my SG is in Founder Falls I can click Home from the train and go to my SG base without the travel across 4 or more zones.

Vaults (top priority!)
[/ QUOTE ]
Vaults were supposed to be in from Day One. If that's a top priority, I'd hate to see when the low priorities will be finished.
Have pedestrians talk about supergroups the way they now talk about individual heroes.
The obvious resource pools: influence and enhancements able to be stored with the group for withdrawal by any member.
Also, though, shared maps: if someone in the supergroup has explored Founder's Falls, when I go there I should have that much of the map revealed as well.
More ranks possible.
Some missions for supergroups to obtain, as distinct from its members. Perhaps ones that require doing a couple of missions at the same time (not requiring coordination like the bombs that must be disarmed at the same moment, but having two places that must be dealt with at generally the same time).
1) Option to join an SG by account, not toon
2) Cross server SGs
3) "Affiliated SGs". Let me as a member of an affiliated SG set my SG channel, color etc. to any of the Affiliated SGs. Let's us have the benefits of larger than 75 member guilds while keeping the flavor of individual SGs.
4) Bases and alliances, of course.
5) Custom Ranks and Privileges.
6) Mutiny capability to kick a leader.
7) Ability to change SG colors and logo.
8) Ability not to display logo when in SG mode.
Definitely be able to get rid of top-ranked SG members somehow. Perhaps there could be a "Demote" option for them which acted as a counter, and if a majority of other Captains clicked to demote another Captain, that person would be forced down in rank to the mid-level. Or some such system; I can leave the actual implementation to y'all
[ QUOTE ]
In general, we need to be able to do something about inactive top-level leaders. Taser, in my case the inactive who's clogging the roster *is* the SG founder. He left due to RL issues, been inactive for months and months and I can't do a thing about it.
