  1. I love these changes, but...some of them arent working.

Current bugs with the Shadow Shard:
    - I've visited all the shop NPCs with enhans ready to sell. They don't buy them, it's treating them just like other NPCs who don't buy enhans.
    - The teleporters are nice, but the Mole Points make more sense, and make exploring worthwhile because you have to find them. Not really a bug...
    - The dotted lines arent on the map signifying the jump routes, which is unfortunate. I really hope it was an oversight for something that mistakingly wasnt added to the I5 patch, but that they is done and waiting to be applied. This is something the SS sorely needs.

Great changes, just need a bug fix or 4 tossed on.
  2. The last badge on one of my in game lists is a giant question mark that says "Complete the XXX task force". My guess is that that's a place holder name for the *actual* name of the TF, and that its a bug.

In addition, the exploration badges in Croatoa arent granting their badges, but you can see the badge markers on the ground so you know they *should* be there. The kill badges are working, but it would appear that either we're all missing the last history plaque (found 4), or that it isnt granting it.

The new expanded list for the already existing badges are great though, and I'm looking forward to getting them on live.

So aside from bugs that will no doubt get worked out, these are great.

  4. I seem to remember the very last post by London being on some random doom thread, and I click dev digest and see that Statesman has responded. I was on the dev digest just moments prior to this without him having said anything, so this was brand new. No sooner had I clicked the link to the post than it said Access Denied

Apparently CuppaJo intercepted it and Nova'ed the thread moments after being posted.

And then we never heard from him again...

(now I'm curious, woulda been nice to see States rip into him, poor lil' London never stood a chance...)

That's better than the LEEEEEROYYYY video!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Haha, I had forgotten about the "LEEEEROYYYY" video until you brought it up. But yes, this trumps that...

That really is great work though, and I hope to see more of your villain ones (the Hellion one was good too).

As a side note, if there was a Shadowrun MMORPG anything like the PnP RPG I may not be here . .

    [/ QUOTE ]

Its a pity that Microsoft has the rights but decides to do nothing with them...

*Edit* - If there was either a Fallout MMORPG or Shadowrun MMORPG I'm not sure I'd be here either (not that I dont love this game, but, well...).
  7. (The first one I bring up cause somebody mentioned Shadowrun somewhere in here)

The tech contact for levels 30 - 40 is Holsten Armitage. Armitage is the last name of the player in the SNES incarnation of Shadowrun. At the time FASA owned the liscense to Shadowrun (its WizKids or FanPro now), and Jack Emmeret wrote a source book for them. And the setting of Shadowrun is a bleak future (and the contact is either "insane" or "from the future, a very bad future").

And I would bet the Crey is a nod to Cray Inc. (a company who builds high end super computers and is constantly creating more powerful electronics).
  8. - More than 3 ranks, maybe 5 or 6.
    - Being able to set pemissions to each rank (able to promote, demote, invite to sg, etc)
    - Setting a message for each member (maybe letting people know who his alt is, or letting people know he's gone on vacation)
    - Be able to send an email to the whole SG.
    - Text box for the SG message of the day and SG motto to allow more text.
    - Fix the Column that said when they joined (currently bugged for my SG)
    - A handful of repeatable SG missions with *special* enemies where they con the same color to everybody (enemies start white con, then move up to yellow, orange, red, etc. as the mission progresses). SG's usually have variable levels that make teaming semi-difficult sometimes, this might help that.
    - Supergroup trials and taskforces. Trial's like the Fautline trial that was rumored involving SG's. TF like for instance two missions require teams to run through at the same time. (could add in "have to disarm bomb in both bases simultaenously, or the computer console in this base opens the door in the other group's mission, but only for a minute.

    And of course....

    - Super Group bases

We have dark powers for heroes already, so obviously dark doesn't automatically equal evil and light automatically equal good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thats the thing though, we dont know for sure what makes them what they are. For all we know their type (light or dark) could be based on thier personality type (light for good, dark for evil). Or like you suggest it could be a racial trait where some are just light and some are just dark, and they choose sides from there. In the end though we probably wont know until States gets bored and drops us another tidbit of issue 3...
  10. It would take quite a bit of explaining as to why Paragon City would even register/recognize nictus and their hosts as heroes (and states seems pretty vigilant on explaining things and trying to keep the setting at least *slightly* plausible). All that we know of them is the bad stuff that they do (i.e. Requiem and the "Path of the Dark"). Then we have other aliens reinforce the concept that theyre bad by telling us flat out that they are evil.
  11. I could be wrong (and probably am) but I doubt its Nictus. If for no other reason than Statesman has been cultivating a game where we do heroic things. Playing something that is inheirently evil kind of goes against that. That would feel more like a City of Villians Epic AT. Just my thoughts...
