Global ignore only stops global messages on global channels. If they are standing next to you you can still get locals, tells, etc. Best bet is to /ignore /gignore (sometimes you can still run into a problem w/ alts, but by that time, you should have a GM handy to deal with the situation, since you petitioned already.)

I've only been working on my ice tank for a short time (Level 9), so I will defer to Circeus for the upper level stuff. But based on how I'm doing now, I'm gonna say that up to this point I've felt more like a underpowered ice scrapper than a tanker. I appreciate the change to acc as a whole and I'm looking forward to how you will be improving ice tanks in the near future.

I understand what you're saying about the acronym, I'm still not sure I'm set on it anyway. (I can be a little corny/old-school comicy at times, kinda like SHIELD and AIM and all those old groups Marvel came up with.)

Also, I wanted to make it clear that this is just for my characters. I'm not making an SG or anything like that, I just wanted some way for some of my characters to "be in the same world". Does that make sense? I've always been a fan of continuity in comics and I was trying to come up with a good basis for where I can lead my characters in their individual stories. (I've had some free time at work lately, and since they won't let me play on company time, I figured I could pretend. )

Well, I made up the acronym afterwards to try to tie the characters together so that the "organization" is active whenever I'm online. (I just happen to make female characters more, too)

I probably should put something in about why they choose girls for operatives, too. But I'm not sure what would motivate the organization to do that. Anyone have a suggestion?

I've just finished coming up with a "tie-in" bio for some of my characters and I wanted to get an opinion on how it looks so far. I can flesh out more details, but I want to make sure this wasn't a boring or over-done kind of thing. I was intending to use this at the bottom of each bio, kinda like what they have on the wire releases that companies send out. Since I'm not the best at coming up with names, I decided to make a "group" of heroes like the Legion of Super-Heroes from DC where their name is what they do. Anyhoo, not fishing for compliments or anything, just be nice, I'm new to this creative writing thing. Thanks in advance!



Global Initiative Rescue League

Created in 2004, the Global Initiative Rescue League was formed to put a end to the villainous methods of various global, national. and local criminal organizations focusing on hostage recovery and bomd disposal. GIRL, currently headquartered in Paragon City, RI, has been recruiting new super-heroines to join forces in an attempt to restore order to the globe following the Rikti Invasion.

GIRL's first operative, The Infernal Girl, with the help of the super-group Eternal Justice, has successfully rescued countless hostages and stopped villians from criminal organizations such as Nemesis, the Family, Hamidon and the Devouring Earth and the Rikti themselves. Infernal Girl was even honored in Paragon City with a "Hero of the City" badge from Statesman.

Two new up-and-comers in GIRL are Genie Girl and Seismic Girl. These two heroines have begun promising careers as crime-fighters and have also established a relationship with Eternal Justice to improve their skills. By training themselves to the high standards that GIRL membership requires, any of these operatives have become an indispensable force in the global fight against crime.

How do scrappers and tankers /assist eachother? With ranged attacks it's easy, you just click on the person you are assisting and start blasting. With melee attacks, you have to find the next target and go to it. Is there a way to easily go to the target that your assist person is targetting?

Best way is to use the F key to follow your teammate, and then any assist melee attacks will go off if you are close enough to the tank/scrapper's target.
