I just wanted to drop you an oppinion on your presents scattered around the city for the Holiday thing. In short, it royally sucks.
First of all, something for the holiday should promote people working together. The presents promote people getting pissed at each other for present stealing.

I just wanted drop you an opinion on your post scattered in the wrong forum for no particular reason. In short, it royally sucks.
First of all, this thread should be promoting people working on their hero's background. Your response just pisses me off.
If you want leave feedback on something in the game, then find an existing topic or even make a new forum topic. If you want to be sure a red name sees your opinion then send it a PM to one of the red names. You might even consider sending it to someone responsible for events, Arctic Sun is responsible for webpage content (like his wonderful background articles); even, if you suddenly made him realize how far the event had missed the mark (and it really hasn't IMHO) he isn't in a position to do much about it.
Oh, and it seems that sometimes these forums don't generate responses at a reasonable maturity level. All YOU seem to be able to post is at a maturity level somewhere around age 3 (or less).

That's probably enough on this. If you have anything else to add here take it to PMs, I'm sure I'm looking forward to your reply. -
I don't think the problem some of us are noticing has anything to do with what happens when an attack actually works. I think accuracy from a static I stand here and hit you works fine.
The problem I'm noticing is attacks don't always register. Siren's Call and Howl is the effect I'm really noticing. About 1/50 (maybe less, I'd guess once every 3-4 missions) or so the attack animation happens but the attack itself DOES NOT.
I've really started to notice it with Howl and Siren's Call mostly because if the attack doesn't fire (on the server) the sound effect doesn't either. Those sound effects themselves are particularly unique so easy to notice. I'm actually starting to be able to predict mass misses with those attacks and I'm usually running before the "missed" word even apears. I know when I'm going to miss everything.
When the attack doesn't fire every mob it would have hit gets a "missed" above his head (usually after a longer than normal delay... I think... there is a delay for a normal "missed" delay anyway... ie damage numbers float up and one beat later the missed words appear).
So what I see is... move into position, fire Howl etc. then I see the Howl animation but no sound effect. Then I see 3-6 "missed" floating above the enemy heads. The recharge timer has fired locally, so I can't reuse the attack.
I really think there is a disconnect between what we see on our client and what the server is doing. And that some effects in some play styles makes it apear that accuracy is a problem because the server isn't acknowledging attacks under some circumstances.
There probably is no problem with the accuracy code, but that doesn't mean we are hitting as much as we should. I don't think you'd notice the missed sound effect with melee attacks etc. Simply too much going on, so all you'll notice is that you seem to be missing more than you think you should. But when you rely on an effect like Siren's Call you really start to notice that it doesn't always fire. -
Cause Phase Shift + Pets wasn't already going to win everything, we need another mode for them to shine in.

I'd really like to see a slightly different level of /hide.
Hide can be very useful in a few places in the game right now, say against Hami, to avoid spectators/spammers/griefers. Most people turn it on when they enter Eden.
HOWEVER
While hidden you probably don't want to be hidden from your SG, especially if they are the people supporting you in your raid. Selecting your SGs spotter except by finding him in a tight cluster consisting of the rest of your SG is not easy.
When the new raids and group vs group comes out this is going to be applicable beyond Hamidon, so I'd really like to see either a change to the current /hide (so you are hidden from everyone except your SG) OR a second level of /hide where you hide from the server as a whole, but not from your SG.
Ideally, it would be nice to be able to make a hide list, but probably more effort than its worth on both sides. -
Some discussion on why this proposed change may be bad for the game:

Task Forces and Trials will continue to contain Elite Bosses, ArchVillains and Giant Monsters. There will be no changes here.

Several of us have said by far the biggest problem with the new bosses was when a TF hits more bosses in a small room than there are members on the team. A team of 4 heroes walking trying to get to the reactor are going to have to overcome rooms of 5 or 6 Tank Swipers.
But instead of fixing that you are going to leave it as is and screw with the parts that the majority of players were already adapting to.
Decidedly bleah.
