Okay, here's another one... My main has Group Fly!

Ohh, Group Fly, that's a good one.

Confession: Before Beast Mastery came out, but after we had the Coyote transform, I took Group Fly on one character, for the sole purpose of proving that the "wolf" model did in fact have flying animations.

Confession: I have Golden Dragonfly and Soaring Dragon six slotted with the Force Feedback set. I love knockup and knockback as a form of control on that Scrapper.

I used Group Fly to help net a successful Master Of Statesman's Task Force attempt.

I also get scrapperlock. On my Dark/Dark Defender.

I once got laughed off the scrapper boards for posting my build for my main, a BS/SR scrapper. Something about "corrupting newbies" with impossible builds. A SR build without pool defenses was apparently inconceivable. That was actually the point of me posting an alternate build.

See, I was serious. Anyone who teamed with me back then was well aware that they could take me into missions un-sked, and I would live. I once tanked a huge Rikti spawn, at least 3 groups for an 8-man team, at the bottom of the old Sewer Trial because a team wipe got everyone except one controller who could only safely rez me. I dove in assuming I'd die and was just trying to live long enough for the team to chain-rez itself. And then I realized that not only was I surviving, I was WINNING. The tank was PISSED. Even more pissed when after the team was all alive and all the mobs were defeated I said "Uh...I forgot to turn on Elude. Oops."

I did not use IOs on that character until...I think when I respecced her because of inherent fitness. I never used Hamis on her. Her sets are focused on endurance reduction and +stamina, not defense.

I had Parry on auto, not Practiced Brawler. Apparently this blew people's minds.

I was never able to get into any resistance power set because I knew how to rock SR. The closest I ever got was EA, and even then I tweaked her IO sets for max regen because of its holes.

Good times. Good memories.

If I'm going to be frank here, I don't think Cryptic knew how to make an MMO at all at the beginning. And to be fair, not many other people did in 2003 either.

I once ordered a Rick Astley Greatest Hits CD from Amazon and had it delivered to Lighthouse.

That's me on the left.
I don't know whether to be disturbed or applaud you for awesomeness.

There's tons of stuff i've done.

1 I had the most fun with is TPing random people who want to see the matrix room and leaving them there. Then I would get the satisfaction of "How do I get out!?".

On that note. I like to do homages. So do some of my friends. And we're all fans of a certain Discovery Channel TV series about science... so...

Notes:

Our activities:

"So Jaime, we're down under Paragon City in the sewers, what myth are we testing today?"

"Jaime wants BIG BOOM!"

This was primarily a low-level "goofing off" team. Not meant for serious leveling and all. The premise? We're testing myths and keep getting interrupted by villains. Or we were testing myths ON the villains... ^_^

IIRC I think Adam wound up as Sonic/Devices? I mean he did manage to break that glass with his voice that one time. ^_^

ADAM: "Would that be under 'D' for Depleted or 'U' for Uranium?"

Jaime's powersets? I'm pretty sure he was Psionics and... something. Ice? Fire? Can't remember.

Tori - was a MA/WP Brute. Self-Rez of course. ("I'm Okay! I'm fine! I'm totally fine!")

Kari - Was Assault Rifle and electricity combo ("High Explosives and Electricity! Wooo!")

Grant - Oh c'mon... Isn't this one obvious? MASTERMIND! With ROBOTS!

Buster was not JUST a dummy. This was Buster 5.0. Based on the Nestor series. The first one to actually have his own personality.

I sort of hinted that the robotic version of Buster might start with a sort of chirpy "Chet the Safety Trooper" vibe.

Buster: "Remember kids! Safety first! Don't try this at home!" *CRASH*

But I could see him developing a sort of weird "Zen"-like near-fatalism as his core program keeps getting moved from body to body as they each get destroyed.

"Be the explosion."

And yes - it would be one of the few character concepts I could think of where the Self-Destruct power is actually a part of the concept. "Don't worry, fellas! Unlike that little black duck, I CAN do this trick more than once!"

*KA-BOOM*

^_^

That is all. One of the most nostalgic themes I've heard in a video game (seriously, I think that theme is partially responsible for altoholism).
I wish this were Facebook and I could 'Like' this post.

I regularly used to 0-star and report Crey Fire Farm arcs.

Which reminds me! If I can find the time before the game ends I want to have my Tanker fight Hamidon ...

Oh, confessions, right, right ...

Yeah, that guy's mine.

... That counts as a confession, right?

I usually just hit random in the CC to make costumes.

I don't think I've changed a single costume piece post-CC since I9.

I've only (intentionally) unlocked extra costume slots on 2 toons, both of those dating from release.

In a AE mission I made, when designing the villain group I just kept hitting random until it made me laugh.

I'd be pretty surprised if it hadn't. This one dates back to 2007, though, so there is that.

This is more appropriate here than in Crowning Moment of Awesome, and I'm sure this story isn't unique.

After rejoining CoH (drawn back by F2P), I accepted a blind invite and made my way to Croatoa. I was playing my level 50 ill/ff controller. Two newish players were leading a team of six at around level 25(?). The player with the star was clueless. The one who was his lieutenant was trying his best to keep the team moving forward despite the feckless leadership.

The vocal team leader continued to advise us on our strategies and even our builds ('tanks suck! make a brute!'), but after a while realized we were ignoring him.

He emote sat down in a cave and refused to budge, complaining the while about how we were a terrible team because we wouldn't follow commands.

I couldn't help what I did next. I hope he forgives me.

I broke away from the rest of the group and walked into one of the dead-end caves, into a group of reds and purples, and used Recall Friend to send the leader right into their midst. He was still sitting when he was immediately slaughtered.

Bad habit to get into, griefing like that. Muahahaa.

That was the appropriate course of action to take in such a situation If you were going to be called a bad team, you might as well have acted like a bad team!

Some other random confessions: When starting out in '04, I picked servers mostly at random. On Triumph, I made an nrg/nrg blaster named Tesla, which I thought was a pretty cool name. I got to 12, hit perma-debt, and abandoned the character. I soon settled on Champion as a home server and never went back to Triumph. Every year or so I'd remember Tesla out of nowhere, consider deleting him to free up the name, but be too lazy to. My apologies to Triumph for denying someone a cool name.

Likewise, when I saw that "Super Best Friends" was free as an SG name I grabbed it for myself, even though I never intended to make it a 'real' SG. I apologize to any South Park fans on Champion.

Also, I'm a hoarder. None of my mains have less than four freespecs. All of them have tons of temp powers with charges, and vaults filled with rare salvage.

Just remembered something I did back when inf spammers were a huge problem. I came across one standing in Atlas spamming in Local or Broadcast or something. I was on my Warshade, so I decided to have a tiny bit of fun -- I teleported a Hellion near the spammer, then went into stealth so ht would aggro onto the spammer, killing him. I know it probably didn't matter to the spammer but it made me happy.

I like most Nickelback songs

Every other confession implicates other parties and this is a kid-friendly community.

Oh, also, I have replaced quite a few sounds in-game for various reasons. Mostly the annoying ones into blank/no sounds. A few however, mainly the impressive animations or blast nukes, I replaced with my voice saying "@#$@@#$ Shamster". Overcharge and Geyser fit it almost too perfectly.

I've already forgotten about most of you

My confessions. Well since we're all getting a "permanent ban" shortly, so its a win-win situation for me. Can't fire me because I quit! Ha.

1. I worked with Lifetank from Asheron's Call and it worked with City of Heroes. UC(Unattended Combat) botting, macroing however you want to put it.

2. I exploited AE, a lot. Enough to have all my character slots on most of the servers level 50(2accounts).

3. Ignored forum rules, a lot. Rules are ment to be broken. Everything is legal, until you get caught .

4. I trolled the troll.
