Thanks for putting up with us, not just to Zwill but to everyone who has had the pleasure of having to do so!

I hope we can have an offert from another company to buy rights and studio so CoH can keep going...

This is so sad.
I feel like a part of me is dying, and want to do something to fix it!

I'm not writing this message as an avid Hero or Villain (even though I am), I'm writing this as a fan of the work of Paragon Studios.

I'm sure a lot of us would really appreciate it if you would let your entire team know how important they were.

I've been playing this game for a long, long time. According to my account, I've spent over $1300.00 playing this game, which is pretty crazy if you really think about it.

While playing, I've met a lot of interesting people that I wouldn't have met anywhere else. I've celebrated their lives- weddings, births, and promotions. I've mourned their losses- friends, family, and hard times. I've played with their children, their wives, their friends, and in some cases, their parents. I maintained an active subscription while I was overseas and unable to play- just to read messages when I logged back in I've received care packages from friends and sent care packages as well. I grew to love the community on four different servers.

I've had a lot of emotional times playing this game, from edge of the seat action to a profound sense of victory to a frustration that after four years, I still cannot put into words. The amount of effort put into character creation felt rewarding when I won the costume contests or when I got the random offhand message how they loved a character I created, or when I see someone with the perfect name, perfect story, and perfect toon. I loved AE for the interesting ideas my friends came up with. This game had everything I ever wanted.

None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the motivated and dedicated Real Life Heroes of Paragon Studios. It may not seem like much, but we thank you for your involvement and for your service in making this possible. Please pass my regards to the rest of your team.

I hope someone gets the idea to begin a hero game similar to City of Heroes, but is more updated. I've thought often about this, and if I had the money I'd help fund it. I refuse to play Champions Online, but I look forward to the next Hero game the world has to offer. It would be amazing if you and your team were on it.

For those of you that haven't, sign the petition! We might still lose the game, but maybe this will motivate someone to turn a new leaf.

Z, I think I can honestly say you were the best community guy to come around here.

Thank you Zwillinger and to the other devs. This is my first and only MMO, my family and my home. Paragon City has been a big part of my life and I will never forget it. I will never forget this game and the characters I have created here. Ever since I was a kid I have been facinated by the genre of superheroes and comic books. I had grown up wishing I could be Superman or Captain America and this game allowed me to fulfill that fantasy. Thank you all and I wish everyone involved in this game success in the future.

Zwillinger, man, I'm going to miss your videos and your hats. It was always a pleasure to read your posts/watch the videos you were moderating.

Its been fun man. I especially loved doing that TPN trial with you and I'd love to play with any of you and the others of the Paragon team on other games, systems, or otherwise. You made my day many a time. We love ya.

Zwill, you are awesome -- and so is the team at Paragon. NCSoft gets all my rage for this, which I won't be sharing here. You guys put so much work into this game, and it showed. There isn't another one like this out there. I can't think of a single MMORPG I have any interest in playing other than CoH, so I'll be playing until the servers shut down. To say that I'm sorry to see this game end would be an understatement in the extreme.

Thank you for everything. And please find a way to let us know how you're doing, and what you're doing, after this. This isn't just a game -- we care about you guys.

Zwill, thank you for being one of the best community managers for such a great game. Loved seeing you and the others each week on Coffee Talk, and it showed that all of you have had such pride in your work. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed and I'm sure the future holds great things for all of you. Not only am I sad we are losing the best superhero MMO out there, but I'm sad for the employees at Paragon Studios. Best of luck.

It was fun while it lasted. Sigh. I guess back to Star Wars or something...

I signed that petition. I just can't believe this, I'm stunned. Just now I tried to take my usual catnap before work and it just wasn't happening. I'm too upset.
There's no other MMO out there where I can really play the kind of character concepts I love to create- it was hella fun running around in game as a personification of the Golden Gate Bridge, for one thing! Where else could I possibly do that?

And where else is there a dev team so involved, so responsive to the community? I won't find that anywhere else either.

I think many of us are still in a state of shock, but I think I've got just enough brain cells firing to say "thank you to everyone at Paragon Studios for a wonderful game!" You have everything to be proud of for your work here.

I'm sorry to see this M.M.O. die. I suppose it's time and time for me to move on from video games. The sad thing is that I never got to play the game at full spec.'s and I will be buying a high end computer really soon. Man, that would've been nice.

Zwill, you guys have been great. I know I may have complained here and there, but you guys made a great product. I'll never forget being given a free C.O.H. key after a whole account debacle a few years back by one of your very kind I.T. reps. I was going through a rough time and that really made my day.

Anyone else have a feeling that something was up with the free codes? My first thought was that this game is shutting down, there was no reason for it otherwise. Very sad. I don't want to see this game go or for the dev.'s to have to find new work. They are great, hard working people and I wish all of them the best!

YOU are one of OUR heroes, Zwillinger. Please, somehow, some way, reach out to the community that is going to last long past the game's sunset and let us know where you land. You are one of us. You are family.

You've done an incredible job, Zwill. And a personal thanks for making my stupid idea of Captain Mako Week a reality.

We couldn't have asked for a better group of devs for our game. I'm saddened by the abruptness of this and I wish all the best for the devs and players.
