Discussion: Introducing Tweet Code Thursdays!

I made an attempt at the first couple of rounds, but I can't type 20 digits in less than a half second. Oh well, would have been nice to have the aura but it just isn't worth the time or frustration.

I just managed to get the code in and now indeed have the aura (it is cool looking). However, I still detest social media as a delivery method and hope this never returns. I would have much rather just spent some money to get the kirby dots.

It took me over 25 seconds to type a code wrong (as in I typoed it somewhere), then right, to get a working code on the first run this morning.

And that's just a guesstimate, but I know it wasn't "half a second".

Snagged a code on the first try (third code in Batch 5), probably 1 minute from the time it was posted. If you're able to monitor Twitter and making it a priority it doesn't seem difficult to get at all.

Changing into the costume aura and posting screenshots to twitter once I get home. Thanks again Devs for taking the extra time to run this.

Codes are up and gone before the twitter feed even refreshes...

So, having wasted two hours so far trying to get a code (and becoming increasingly bitter about the game, rather than playing and enjoying it), I get and apply a code, it asks me if I want to upgrade my account, and then tells me it has already been used. Did I miss something? Not only do we have to enter a code before anyone else, but we have to Continue AND Upgrade Account before anyone else does?

Since I'm feeling nice and got my own I figure I can give you guys this hint.

go to this webpage:

and refresh at the 30 minute mark. you'll have a 1-2 second head start.

if you have a second monitor, open up a seperate browser window and be ready to type in the code. make sure you've just logged into your ncsoft account, so you don't time out.

type the code without capitalizing anything or worrying about dashes.

Each of those tricks should help you out. Here's to hoping the forumgoers win a few more of them.

You don't need to have a second monitor, just have two browser windows open and visible. I did this on my netbook which has a somewhat small screen so I did have to take some time to scroll one window on confirmation (narrowly missing getting Rulushin on a couple of attempts, I did get it later, though).


The other tip: go for the middle.

It doesn't have to be in the middle but pick a prime number, and stick with it. I chose 3, and grabbed the third one in the list. your timing is everything.

Of course when they forget to link the pic and only type the yfrog address, everyone's screwed...

EU codes are always easier to get. Still i don't use Tweeter and not planing to use it ever. At least on FB you get games, still haven't figured the use of Tweeter. (Got code without tweeter account, just following the link)

I preferred when codes were on forum. Not everyone use Tweeter or Facebook and unless you don't get payed from promoting these sites, there is no reason to force us to go there when we have nice forum here.

ive never really been a fan of stuff like this, 9/10 times the codes are used up within the first 30 sec

will be nice to get it but hate that limited time items like this wont have another way to get them for very long time if ever

i was surprise I managed to claim an EU code 2 hours after it was posted - wasn't intending to try as I'm not a fan of this method of give away -but thought - why not.
hope its released another way because its quite a nice aura
