Nalrok's Really Fast Coffee Talk Writeup
I remember one MMO (fantasy based...don't remember the name of it; don't think it's up and running still) that my former boss was interested in.
This is from memory but I think you got a power (let's say Fireball) and then for either money (game money not rl money) or some sort of fee, you could modify the power. So if you wanted it to do more damage, you could make a 'new' Fireball that does more damage (but now it costs more mana/endurance or what have you). I'm sure that may be harder on the dev team but I'd love to see something like that. |

Ok, I really, really, REEALLY love Dual Pistols as they are, so I'm hoping these DP changes don't upset me... I won't like me when I'm upset...

They show the animations in the coffee talk... they appear to be the same as the current animation, just sped up. They're essentially no different.
I can only imagine you're talking about possibly not liking new animations (Since there's zero other reason that this straight up buff would upset anyone).

I know the "gun-fu" isn't everybody's cup of tea, but it's my favorite thing about the set. I'd be if they lost that, even if it was in the name of a needed buff.

I just hope that with this change to the power in the power pool.......they let players who already have the old power...keep that old power.
Because when they changed Storm Kick...it didnt matter at all...you logged in and had the new power....no more super muti-kicking action.......no you got the new low round house kick attack..that did less damage but was a faster animation.
I actualy deleted two of my characters when that happend.

It was perfect for speedsters, especially paired with Flurry - the classic "hit you 100 times in two seconds" combo. Yes, the DPS was mediocre and the misses sucked, but it had flavor. Alas, that was not enough to save it.

Spines is what I REALLY care about, though. Bio Armour inspired me to make a new Spines Scrapper, and I was quickly reminded how shoddy the set's age-old design was. How lucky is it that mere weeks later I read about the set being improved? Sweet! I can't wait!

Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
I hope they add some kind of customization for animations/VFX/power tint for the power pools.
Its weird to see the new fighting pool cone attack with nice FX from Street justice powerset and then see the same old crappy granny kick, with no effect, redraw and that ugly animation.

I wonder if Soldiers and Widows will get updated to get whatever new toys Leadership ends up with. PBs and Shades got the new TP and Flight powers, right?
I agree with Oathbound on the logic level; on the game design level, I'd suggest that SoA's don't need the help.
Please be a +Res power... it's the most logical addition!

I highly doubt it. Soldiers and Widows still have access to the Leadership pool, so they can get the new 5th power no matter what. Kheldians are completely locked out of the Flight/Teleport pools, so they only way they'd ever have access to the new 5th powers was if the also got added to their powersets.

I use the presence pool on my PB whenever I need to tank with it. Sadly, that is more frequent than it should be... The cool thing is I think I'm the only PB who has ever been the main tank at the MoM trial and lived to tell the tale.
Anyway I think I love the devs of this game. I commented on another game that I never look forward to any of their updates, and yet Paragon seems to get me giddy with every announced update.
