  1. I agree with putting it into Explosive Blast. I also have an Energy/Energy Blaster and that's where his went - the whole set, in fact.

Move along, nothing of interest here.

What? Not a fan of the Beast blasts? I'm tempted to buy Beast Mastery to make a petless Beast/Storm because I like the blasts but think the actual Beast pets are lacking in every respect. I'll echo the notion that Storm is a good bet for your secondary, although I'm a masochist so I'd probably go Demon/Poison for -Res and Toxic damage reasons
  5. I've been thinking about what I'll do to my MMs once I get them up to incarnate content as of late. For Necro I'd suggest having a look at the Intuition Alpha, specifically Radial Paragon - if only it had Fear, it would be perfect

I had a similar toss-up between Rebirth and Barrier but came to the conclusion that the burst heal and extra regen (I wouldn't go +HP, personally) aren't as important when you and fluffy have Twlight Grasp, even the constant 5% Def and Res of Barrier would be pretty handy. Stack it with the unique pet procs and that's quite a decent boost for a debuff set.

As far as Core vs Radial for Lore, I've found the Radial support pet to be less-than-constant in their contribution so you may as well go Core.

So with that in mind, why would I *not* put it in Explosive Blast over Energy Torrent?

Basically, knockback direction is usually (always?) determined by calculating the angle between the caster and the target. The location of the power itself rarely (never?) matters.

The reason some powers knock back in a direction different than the caster's apparent location is that they summon a pseudo pet, who becomes the "caster" for the purposes of knockback. Lightning Storm is an obvious example. A less obvious example is Jolting Chain, which summons psuedo-pets to do its work, and will tend to scatter lower level enemies because of it.
Then why, when I Hover/Fly over a group of enemies and hit them with Explosive Blast do they scatter outwards and don't just fall over, as they would with Energy Torrent?

So far the only one I've actually committed to using I put into Shockwave on a Claws/WP Scrapper, and I really like the result.
I can circle the enemy and knock them into a wall with ET, or Hover/Fly over them to knock them "down" - with EB, they will always scatter in every direction, so I put it in EB. Also, yes, my Claws/SR uses Shockwave so much more now

I concur - I really struggled playing my Necro/Poison MM when CoV launched, but after I found that guide? So much easier!

This is great for my FF and Sonic Res characters (although yes, moreso my MMs than my Defenders/Controllers )

I'm a little disappointed that Leadership isn't getting a Team +Res toggle, but oh well...
  11. Build Up is something I use when I remember I have it.
Location powers (except Dimension Shift) are something I use as often as possible.

    I can haz power swap?

  15. Goodbye (for now) Riff, I'll crank up the crazy in your memory! (So hurry back and save us!)

If you can spare the extra slots, 3 Enzymes, the Achilles' Heel proc and the Touch of Lady Grey proc would be my choices -that's what I intend for my Ice/Poison Corr. With only 4 slots, I'd drop an Enzyme. With 3 slots I'd drop the damage proc.

  18. Crab Spider or Fortunata for super-safe non-melee

Rad/Traps or Traps/Rad for melee friendly fun

Fire Control/Time, Ice Control/Time or Elec Control/Time for more melee madness

Sonic Resonance or Force Field if you just really want that mez protection
  19. Stone Armour, because Rooted... because Rooted.
SR, because Inv, Shield, EA, WP, Nin and Ice are just better with a little IO investment.
  20. The retro-rings are nice on B, but A seems to have less "ow I'm burning my legs" risk
  21. I really like B, but the gloves and boots of C are too good. Good looking boots are what most of my characters are missing - sorry B, C won me over.
