Retro Sci Fi Costume Set: Ray Guns! - Vote for what we make!
Is the Ray Gun blast set going to be 1 gun or 2?
It's unlikely to be a ray gun blast set, probably more like customs for the existing sets.

So... a "ray" gun that shoots bullets? With bullet sound effects? Or a blaster pistol that replaces beam/pulse rifles?
If it's the former, that's going to be weird. If it's the latter, I imagine the animations will look funny unless a whole new set of them is put together (though I guess a lot could be pulled from Dual Pistols).
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
Fire and Ice ammo can be read as "rays" or at least, that's how I've been reading them as sometimes anyways.
C reminds me of the Cricket from Men in Black. It gets my vote.

I'm just not sure what I think of a ray gun that goes "bang bang bang" instead of "pew pew pew." It's (presumably) a paid-for item, so I suppose some kind of "alternate sounds" setup could be a possibility (AND WOULD BE AWESOME, by the way, devs), but that seems like a lot of work, if it's even possible at all. Though it might explain what the sound people have been doing for the last few months instead of working on Titan Weapons and Staff Fighting.

I liked B the best so I voted for B.
Cancel the kitchen scraps for widows and lepers, no more merciful beheadings and call off christmas!
B. Totally.
You can't get much more retro than Rings and a Fin together - I went with B. C's a close second, though.

Voted A
B is Cool, but I like A a bit more. It's Retro enough without going over the top like B. D is way too 'Busy' for me. C is too Star Trek-like for my tastes.
Thank you for the time...

B & D held my attention...but B is so much the original B&W Buck Rogers an Flash Gordon

B of course. It has a FIN!!!
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
C looks like some sort of futuristic baby bottle.
I voted for the fin..erm for B I mean.

You can't get more retro sci-fi than B.

Yeah B is very retro. I dig it.

I vote D. It looks like a sci-fi high-tech pistol without being too overtly zeerust, but I could go with option B, as well. I don't like the fin on B, but I don't like the "cup" barrel on D, so either would be fine.

I voted B, because of the fin.
Last year at the very first Freedom Player Summit, we introduced the design a costume set workshop. After our initial pass, and much discussion between the art team and the Community, we've now narrowed down the selections. Now it's back to the Community to help us decide on the final product!
Between now and Thursday, February 9th 2012, you can submit your vote for which pieces we should include in the finished version.
Of course, should anything happen that would change the outcome of the final selection, we'll communicate this to you.
So get out the vote and help us decide our very first Community co-created costume set!
