  1. Cool!! I remember those videos!! Def. my favorite now and at the time.
  2. People spend their entire childhood trying to grow up, then spend their entire adulthood trying to be young again.

A vertical zone like Grandville, but much easier to traverse thanks to all the roadways. Sure, the zone's backstory would need to be rewritten a little, but not THAT much. Heck, set Paragon City's Chinatown at ground level and ramp up the turf war between the Tsoo,Trolls, and Family, with Clockwork and Lost as outside parties that sometimes find themselves in the middle of things.
This would be a great idea!! I love the idea of finally having a "Chinatown" for the Tsoo to hang out at... plus I also would love to see the place revamped so the roadways and overpasses, and freeways **make sense** The concept behind Skyway has always been so cool in my mind.

From my first time there, Skyway has always been my favorite place. I have plenty of good memories there, hunting Lost, my favorite villain group the Trolls (pre-hollows), and lots of cool overpasses and ramps. My first toons to reach there were always super-speeders, and my favorite thing was the fact that we *could* superspeed down the freeways, dodging villains on the way past stuff.

Granted, Chase-Arcanum is right, it is a zone designed in a time when leveling was slower and travel powers didn't come into the game til you were halfway through the zone... It made for wonderful exploration as your group fought it's way from mission door to mission door.

Redesign it, sure! Consolidated and forgotten/destroyed (*weeps for Galaxy City*), no thanks!
  4. Ok. Time for requests. You've probably seen all these before, and god knows I've probably requested them before on the old thread, but I suppose it never hurts to keep asking! (On a somewhat related side-note, I dug through the old thread looking for one of my many posts there, and went through like... the first 100 pages or so... and was pretty impressed by the number of requests that actually *have* been fulfilled over the past 8 years... CoH rocks!)

What I want, in no particular order other than I want it all!

    • Long Gloves. Non Witchy. To match all those long boots. Think Audrey Hepburn. Mmmmm. Smexy.
    • Bracelets, bangles, watches and rings. For the bling bling in all of us. Arm stuff for those who don't have gloves or armor.
    • Real necklaces and amulets. The Mr. T Neck full of chains we use as an alternative now doesn't cut it... plus they are in the "shoulder" category. Need more than just the cowboy and Victorian era neck frillies. Oh and while we are at it, can we get the spiked collar moved (or even duplicated) into the head slot instead of the shoulder slot?
    • More basic tights patterns. Think 80's era costumes. Lots of horizontal, vertical, shape patterns. Even letter patterns on the upper and lower torsos. There are a few very specific upper and lower body "matching" points where patterns can meet... let's use them all and give MOAR options! Need ideas? I have a ton of superhero drawings going back to the 80's... when all I did was make my own heroes!
    • Sashes, thick and thin, guys and gals. I know this is a frequently requested item, but hot dang, nothing looks better than a sash or two varying sizes for the fashion consious. Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel), Phoenix, and Psylocke can't be wrong!
    • Diagonally hanging hip belts. Think Rogue in the late 80's, back when she was wearing the black uni with the little green shirts. Belts that defy gravity and impossibly hang off the side of a hero's hip without falling down are unrealistic, but look awesome!
    • A spear. Why Staff Fighting has a Trident but not a simple spear is beyond me. I need one. Jacky Chan needs one in all his movies, so therefore, so do I.
    • Separate head items from eye items. Toxic Ox and Cowbelle need sunglasses, and can't wear them without losing their horns. Unfair!
    • Hawaiian Shirts and Board Shorts. With multiple patterns. The dudes can't hit the beach without proper beach wear... Speedos and Boxing Shorts (and "tucked in" options) don't cut it. Bermuda pants, Skater shorts, Khaki shorts, and Jorts need representation!
    • Rob Liefield Pouches on everything. I need my 90's costume options. Boots, belts, straps, gloves, wristbands, thigh straps all filled with a multitude of various sized pockets and pouches for the express purpose of holding bus fare for non-travel powered heroes is totally necessary.
    • Better textured/new hair. I love hair. I love the hair options... but some of the original hairstyles, which remain in constant use are beautiful in shape, but have the texture of a block of cheese. I know it's usually frowned upon to take away options, so just add second versions (perhaps labeled, "Long Layers (Legacy)" and "Long Layers").
    • Chest badges options. I would LOOOOVE Chest Detail Symbols to always have the option of being a "over" or "under" (large mid-chest, or small breast pocket). It would solve a lot of my issues with large symbols covering up zippers on certain "tight" patterns such as Buckled Leather, Chaos Leather, Defense, Dress Shirt, Flack Jacket, Patent Leather, and Stealth.
OK. Stopping now. I have more. Lots more. But I think I always have things I want, but don't always remember it. =P That said, I do have to say again, how excellent you guys are at giving us cool stuff, but as usual, I always want more! =D

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hopefully I'll get some of my wishes down the pipeline!
  5. Congratulations! It's always heartwarming to see heroes in love!

Yes. Yes. Yes. Absolutely. Positive. Totally!
  7. I like the gloves and boots from "C", and the Body parts of "B"

Very rarely do I like to show the eyes.
Oddly enough, I tend to gravitate towards Blast Goggles Up and Resistance Goggles Up so I *can* see the eyes.

    Otherwise for me:

Hair: Glam, Serrated Sugar, and Long Layers gets a lot of use
Face: I tend to try to vary them, but female 16 and 20 tend to have more usage
Helmet: Round Half Helmet often is used alongside Helmet Detail 1: Warrior and one of many visors (Reflector Shield, Geo Shield, Scanner, Praetoria Police, etc)
Body: Magic Bolero with Bridal or Bridal & Lace. Also Clockwork Chest Detail
Belt: Retro and Official (helps that I have a PPD SG)
Gloves: Witch Tight, Sport, Vanguard Big, Enforcer, and Resistance as of late, previously Sleeves and Wristbands were common
Bottom: Clockwork and Clockwork w/pads are common for tech heroes
Boots: Thigh High, Witch Tight, and Victorian Steampunk are commonplace... Thigh High was VERY common, but with the introduction of Witch Tight and Victorian Steampunk, the ratios have spread out a bit. Also Sport, Motorcycle, and Strappy (for casualware) appear often.

Oddly enough, I use few shoulder pieces... if I do it tends to be Gladiator or Praetoria Police (for knight-related characters and PPD characters respectively).

OK... wow... that's a big list... Am I abusive? or do I just have too many alts?
  9. I got another account about a month ago, so I could have a free-ish account to play with once Freedom hits... "refered a friend" to myself, found a copy of Architect Edition at my local Fry's Electronics for 99 cents (in a shopping cart bargain bin, no less), upgraded, then bought a $15 one-month game card... which gave my main account a free month for the referral...

But of course now, you only have 2 days before Trials are turned off... so if you do it this way, you'd have to find a cheap copy of CoH fast...

In the end, I'll have (when Freedom comes out), 1 VIP account, and 1 premium with 2 or so months of points (do you get the 400 monthly points for the "free" month that you get when you purchase a hard copy of the game?) for a grand total of $1 (the $15 dollars I paid for the game card paid itself back when the "refer a friend" gave me the free month!).... Oh! and doesn't Freedom automatically upgrade all accounts to GR?

If she were to /ignore the person in question, she would never see anything they have to say to her, nor any invite windows. This is probably the best method for her, as it blocks the jerks, and leaves everyone else able to communicate with her normally.
I brought up /hide, because it can be used so harassers don't even know you are online... Granted a report and /ignore is better, but /hide has its uses.

Depending on what the situation is... I used to /hide immediately after making a character to avoid the old "inf-farmers" that used to stand around in Atlas Park doing searches to spam-advertise their inf-selling...

Of course if it's someone specific... then /ignore away!

    This.

*mmmm... less than three, female walk animation...*
  12. Personally, I use a notebook and a pencil.

But, I like the idea... In fact, I think it'd be cool to have the ability to click and see the character's "ID" from the character select screen... then I'd be able to put notes there as well...

Or perhaps a 4th tab in the Info page, with personal info, seen only by the player and other players who click "info".... so the RPers can still write their uber-bios, and have a separate place to put private info...

I'd have no problem if something like this is implemented...

Also make liberal use of the "/hide" option. It won't stop people from seeing you in the same zone, but they won't be able to find you in a search.
  14. And don't forget you have to be level 10 (I think) to send an email... but any level can receive one.
  15. Personally, I'd be super irritated that my "weapons systems" block so much of my view... Those weapons displays take up way too much screen real estate.

And this may be a preferential thing, but I think your choice of font is too... um... normal... I almost want it to be one of those (almost) unreadable "high-tech" fonts that look all futuristic.

Just look at all the players here with 2004 and 2005 registration dates - NCSoft has been getting 6-7 years of subs from them instead of getting 2 years up front, and then having to support what would basically be free playing VIPs for the other 4-5 years.
<--- I would agree with the above assessment.

    Cebr

This whole thread reminds me a little of the old "Fire Tanker Club" days in early CoH... Firetankers were OP, knew they were OP, and the "old guard" had the "Fire Tanker Club Motto" - The First Rule of the Fire Tanker Club is, you don't talk about the Fire Tanker Club.

Then the new fire tankers started ranting about how powerful Fire Tankers were all over the forums... And Fire Tankers got nerfed to the ground.

    Just saying...

First thing I'd want is FIXED wings... or (tech) wings that retract into a backpack, but are fixed in flight... or Goldbricker/Sky Raider flight packs... Flapping Tech wings bugs the hijeebees out of me.

After that, I want helicopter hats/beanies. Just cause you asked.

Then after that flying platforms, mounts, and slides. But fixed wings and beanies first.

    =D

    That would rock!
  20. Well, if you are talking about proliferation concepts...

I've always wanted a Force Field Defensive set for melee... sort of like shield, where a couple of the powers can help teammates as well... BubbleTankerFTW!
  21. This whole Swan thing is getting out of hand. It's not about Swan looking slutty. It's not about redesigning Swan. It's not even about whether Swan has a good costume or bad. It *is* about people's opinions on what signature character designs "speak" to them in terms of story...

If you simply like a character's story but DON'T like the visual, leave that out of this thread. It'll help me tally up the results of the visuals you actually like.
So, it seems that Swan *doesn't* seem to do a good job of portraying her story visually... and since so many people don't like her visuals... we're just cluttering up Noble Savage's thread with arguments about what he already to leave out of the thread...

    ... just saying ...

That said, I restate my previous post and emphasize the fact that Blue Steel is Uber and can kick all your visual's butts (Translation: he tells a story, being a hero and a cop... he just needs less "floods" like pants).
