help me be a dual blade scrapper :)
There's an issue with your power picks. Power Slice only gets a combo once you get One Thousand Cuts, which arrives at level 32. You should definitely pick up Blinding Feint which gives you a significant buff early on, and consider taking Nimble Slash(perhaps in a second build) so you can get the Empower and Weaken combos.
Mains (Freedom) @Auroxis
Auroxis - Emp/Rad/Power Defender Pylon Video Soloing an AV
Pelvic Thunder - SS/Elec/Mu Brute
Sorajin - Elec/Nin Stalker
Neuropain - Sonic/Mental/Elec Blaster
that's the main reason I'm posting, I don't know what the combos are. I've been looking everywhere and haven't found anything that just flat out tells you them.

Weaken - Nimble Slash -> Ablating Strike -> Typhoon's Edge (this is the first combo you can get access to, -def and -tohit to everything hit by the Typhoon's Edge)
Empower - Nimble Slash -> Ablating Strike -> Blinding Feint (increases the tohit and damage buff from Blinding Feint)
Attack Vitals - Ablating Strike -> Vengeful Slice -> Sweeping Strike (applies extra lethal DoT damage to everything hit by the Sweeping Strike)
Sweep - Thousand Cuts -> Power Slice -> Typhoon's Edge (Knockdown and 50% more damage from Typhoon's Edge)

I think as long as you get the weaken combo early on you'll be golden. It's pretty good in terms of it's effect and it also happens to give you a well rounded attack chain for that level. After that I usually take what I need for Attack Vitals, which happens to be my favorite.
I start my DB toons to chain Weaken > Empower > Weaken > empower... Technically you can't land combos back to back to back because you can only start a combo every 5 seconds and those combos are less then 5 seconds long. But the power activation times and recharge times line up well to make decent chains whether the combos hit or not.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.

For DB, I would suggest putting off getting Power Slice until right before lvl 32 when you pick up One Thousand Cuts.
For invulnerability, I would suggest, for lower levels, holding off on Temp Invul and Resist Elements and take Dull Pain. If you 3-slot Resist Physical Damage you should be fine and Dull Pain increases your hit points so it's very doable/survivable. Trying to grab all the DB powers you really want at the low levels can make it hard to get the secondary powers that help you stay alive while you kill things. All that said, get Unyielding at 16 for mez, knockback, etc.
These are only suggestions, a lot will depend on your playstyle and what you're comfortable with.

hi, I'm pretty new to the game.. I'm seeing a lot of threads involving dual blade scrappers but everything seems to be about end-game builds :P
I need basic advice on how to play him though. I keep reading stuff about combos being most of my damage but not sure how they work, and can't find anything online that makes sense to me. :P
Me and my wife are playing through the game right now one quest at a time, so I don't really care about all the end game slotting/enhancements/whatever.
right now I'm a level 11 dual blade/invulnerability scrapper with:
Power Slice, Ablating Strike, Typhoon's Edge, Resist Physical Damage, Temp Invulnerability, Resist Elements, and Hasten.
