It had the rings, that were a big part of what I saw from the design element from the pummit and the fin flaring back would work well with a lot of current costume pieces style/theme-wise.
City of Heroes was my first MMO, & my favorite computer game.

I went with option D. Options A and C somehow look a little too much like modified hairdryers and while option B had the "retro" fin I think that probably makes it too limited as far as general costume concepts go.

They are all really good. It's too tough to choose so I abstain... but I don't think they'll look right with DP... it will need a ray option for them.

It's been expressed but I sincerely hope that the ray gun is being considered primarily as a one-handed animation option for beam rifle or as an alternate animation for existing powersets - energy, ice, fire blasts, etc. I don't care if dual pistols gets it too but if it is *only* for dual pistols, it will feel like a thematic fail to me.

Voted A, even though it doesn't have a prayer. C is too small, D reminds me of one that we already have, and I prefer the shape of A to B.

Also, when you use Supressive fire with Cryo Ammo? Freeze Ray! Heck, I'm half tempted to work on a DP/something blaster/blapper.
I almost picked D...but I really like the Adam Strange-style fin on B, so that gets my vote. :-)

D, because with different coloration it gives the most options for other types of toons to use it.
All black? Han Solo Blaster.
White with red trim? Retro sci-fi.
Wood, copper and brass? Steampunk.
Green and chartreuse? Radiation/Vahzilok.
We like options!
