Will you regret the time you've spent playing?

Gaming?
Absolutely not.
I've met more than a handful of good friends through various games over the years.

On the other hand, I know I'll regret every second wasted watching reality teevee....

I will regret every minute I did not spend with my daughter

but that doesn't mean that spending every minute with my daughter would be better

Gaming has been a part of my life for about 27 years. I'm well past the point of having regrets or reservations bout how I spent that time, and how I'll continue to spend time gaming in the future.

Probably. I play an awful lot.

Only if everyone forgets who I am. So probably yes but it will be a small regret compared to some of the doozies I have.

Yes. As much or as little as I'll regret most of the other frivolous things I do.

Doubtful.

If I'm going to regret time spent, I'll regret the time spent at work, having a miserable time. But time spent playing ANY game, especially when it involves talking to friends? Pretty far down the list of things I might regret.

any hobby you regret doing at any time of your life is no hobby anymore just a hassle you think you need to complete and get rid of it.

Gaming is one of my hobies and currently only one that I am willing to spent my time so I won't regret the time I spent on game most probably I will regret the time I spent on internet looking through same pages over and over again for hours though out of boredom :P

I've done a lot of things in my life that I do, or will, regret. Video games aint one of them.

No. Never in a million years. Games are both the best source of inspiration and the best outlet of the stuff my brain requires to function - weird, crazy stories that paint the world in ways I can more easily understand and deal with in a positive manner. Because of games, I've all but eliminated stress from my life, and I couldn't be happier for it.

As a point of fact, a couple of days ago I dealt with probably my lowest of lows in quite a while, when I had literally no desire to do anything - work, play, eat, anything. What solved it? A new character concept, the revitalisation of an old character concept (my 42 Ice/Ice Blaster is finally gone, replaced by a brand new Dark/Dark Stalker) and the opportunity to discuss character concepts, stories and motivations with a few of my friends. Problem solved, and now I can't wait to get back to my pink darkness, which means I can't wait to get my regular job done so I can get to it.

As soon as that woman started listing the things people were most often regretting at their death bed, I could already see where she was going since as far as I'm concerned, games can solve all of those problems.

I had two choices for hobbies... crack cocaine or CoH... I think I chose wisely and won't regret it

*shrugs* You could have chosen crack AND hookers...but that'd just leave you regretting the next morning.

Enough crack and you won't have to worry about the next morning.

Regardless, time spent playing CoH and other games will most likely be the smallest regret i could have and is highly unlikely to be a regret at all.

I would deeply regret living through an age where I could be an online superhero and NOT taking advantage of it.

Gaming is that thing I do when I need a diversion from my real life and that afterwards, when I go back to focusing on my real life, I find my mind cleared and recharged.

No, not really. It's a hobby and an interactive form of entertainment, and I enjoy it. In a somewhat similar vein, I wouldn't regret the time I spent, say, watching movies either.

Nope. Quite frankly, games have been very positive. Frankly, I think my life is far better thanks to gaming - it keeps me involved with people, and is a way for friends and I to keep in touch with each other and keep active.

I have regrets. None of them have to do with gaming. I regret the 5 minutes or so of reality TV I've watched more.

I'll see your 27 years and raise it to 35. The games have changed a bit but they've all done what I wanted them to; provided me with countless hours of escape and entertainment.

Regrets? I've had a few. But my time gaming is not among them.

Since Pong? Yeah a little.

I don't think I'm going to regret gaming on my deathbed. I'm probably going to be regretting whatever put me on my deathbed more.

nah, I have way bigger things to regret.

i dont watch tv much, and dont catch many movies, so gaming is what fills those 2 spaces, and based on what i have seen on them, i'm not missing much. Just maintain a balance, meet friends, go hiking, lift something heavy, kick something really hard a few times, help some strangers for no discernible reason or whatever you find fulfilling, thats all that can really be done.

now gaming forums, oh hell yeah, i do already.
