Will you regret the time you've spent playing?

Gaming is part of my life. It has been for over three decades. I liked it so damn much I helped found a gaming company. So part of my work is...play.
Regrets? Maybe one. That I couldn't turn MORE people on to how beneficial gaming can be to one's life.

No more than I'd regret time spent on crossword puzzles, out playing frisbee with friends, or anything else.

Gaming, Comics, Reading...I'm better off than a lot of my family and friends.
I might also regret it if I'm not hearing this song.

As much as I like CoH, I would regret that CoH was one of the things that I was thinking about on my deathbed. I would hope I had something more salient to spend my last moments thinking about.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

Pretty sure I'm gonna regret setting fire to my house to get a spider/centipede/tick out more.
This hasn't happened yet, but it's getting there.

But the casual gamer nah, heck my 65 yro father still loves gaming.
That's not to say that if that's the most prominent thing you've got going on in your life that you wouldn't regret not sampling more of what life offers when you are at a point where you're no longer able to.
Well, everybody has no regrets. Cool...
There's a part of me that wants to be a Saint; to actively seek out and help those less fortunate than me. Yet I have so many hobbies: Hiking, Canoeing, Singing and Playing Piano, Reading and Writing, and Gaming... I sometimes feel I'm too self-serving and I have wondered if I'll regret that when I'm older.
I see nothing wrong with any hobby, but too many, or too much of one, I dunno...
Still, it's a conscious decision on my part... What would my alignment in DnD be I wonder? True Neutral?

Nope.
If I had not spent as much time gaming as I did, I probably never would have met my wife. Had I not met my wife, my life would be very different than it is now.
And trust me, my life is MUCH better than it was before.

Regretful will be the person who doesnt understand how to make their gaming mind their every-day mind and their every-day mind their gaming mind (or any such skillful hobbie). The skill sets to game to the degree seen on the boards are quite useful (especially Seismic Smash
); be mindful of their applications.
