A little late... but Tyrant was RIGHT!

Primal Earth probably wouldn't have really cared about Praetoria if Praetoria didn't kidnap Statesman that one time or invade PI.

So Tyrant sorta brought it on himself.

Yeah, Cole made the first strike. And his plans to sterilize Primal Earth's super population didn't really sit well.

So, sort of a self fulfilling prophecy I guess? Cole feared contact with Primal would upset his utopia and thus his pact with the Hamidon, so he planned to wipe Primal out, which just brought us down on his head like a sack of bricks.

Kind of fitting, I mean being an Incarnate of Zeus, and what were mythological gods prone to? Self-fulfilling prophecies and dooming themselves.

Uhh, Golden Girl, White wasn't talking about "sterilize" as in "make clean or infertile", White likely meant exterminate.

Anyway though, just because this thread's here:

Yeah, I played a loyal responsibility. I cared about the people, and not a wit about Cole's desires. Which I told him when I got to Primal Earth. Which is why I argue that not ALL Loyalist are evil.

However, Primal earth are not perfect angels. As Kitsune said, Primal earth has invaded several other dimensions.

Name one dimension in any part of the lore where there are ONLY heroes and NO villains!

The pacifist Circle of Thorns world. Whole planet at peace.

Primal fired the first shot in that Portal Corp was the one to discover Praetoria, which caused the Praetorians to overreact and bring down the hammer.

Ok. In hindsight, I should've restated my question.

Name one dimension in the lore with all Heroes and no Villains which has not attacked or been attacked by someone from Primal Earth.

And on a Wednesday during a solar eclipse on a leap year during a rainstorm that *isn't* on the only CoX map with rain conditions?...in space?

I don't think there are any all-Hero dimensions - even soem of the all-Villain ones like Axis Earth must surely have some form of resistance too.

Kingdom, Golden Girl, Primal Earth Kingdom. The Lady Grey is not some bare-*****, savage from some far off 'empire', she's a proper English Rose.

Still waiting to see Geisterdammen in Axis America as a loyal Allied Resistance member... Loyal even in death.

Though on that note: it's true, I mean even if the Pacifist CoT world were all pacifists, they could be jerks in some of their dialogues.

One would like to remind you that We are perfectly capable of having Empires. Indeed, we had an Empire upon which the sun never set.

No crumpets for YOU, wot?

Cole finds out there's another universe. It's full of superpowered individuals and monsters. If Cole were to draw too much attention to his universe, they could cross over in force.

What should Cole do now?
A: The existence of parallel universes is now a state secret, a formal request to stay away will be given should they contact us.
B: Contact them peacefully in secret and possibly recruit help with the not-quite-dead Hamidon issue.
C: Destroy them! Full scale invasion before they notice us!

If you chose A or B, congratulations! You're smarter than a supervillain dictator! If you chose C... why would you DO that?!

A proper Alpha Male would have asserted his superiority without invoking death by robot army. You know, posturing, talking big, belittling the poor chaotic Primals. You know, doing the whole evil dictator thing right.

To reach "DESTROY THEM ALL!" you have to go way beyond Alpha Male to extreme paranoia. Which, granted, when you have giant monsters trying to eat everyone, a resistance movement that try to destabilize the only thing keeping the monsters out, and a firm belief that the only one powerful enough to rule everything is yourself. Really, Cole's downfall is he believes himself a benign dictator, which makes him dangerously unstable. Anyone in power can do scary things "for the greater good".

The proper response, as far as I can see, would have been to recruit help. Tyrant vs. Hamidon was a draw. Get Statesman in for a 2-on-1 and beat up Hamidon. And, no, kidnapping him to siphon his power is not what I meant. The Power of Zeus doubled... But why stop at double? There are several Coles, although most of them evil, in the multiverse. Get enough and stomp Hamidon.

Actually, it's kind of worrying in itself. Name one GOOD Cole apart from Statesman. Statesman could rightly have been a bit paranoid himself about that...

ever notice how before a face-heel turn, a good character will often start caring deeply for others and idealism, and complain that others are holding them back from really doing as much good as they can..then they go bat-nuts genocidal when they decide to just ignore the rules? its a well worn trope.

It was made pretty clear that Cole had lost faith in humanity because of them nuking the **** out of everything in the Hamidon Wars. I doubt he trusted the Primals any more, considering its basically a world with superpowered crime everywhere..and already started a war with another alternate earth..
