I have seen nothing to imply that Rularuu was retconned into being an Ascended. Like Scythus said, its more like they just gave a name for entities like him.
  2. you beat up two friggin world destroyers, why the hell would anyone not kiss up to you

um..what else are you supposed to do? go do your own thing until rulawade put his plan to wipe out all superhumans into motion? (unless wade actually kept up his end of the bargain villainside..which i doubt)
  5. Call me when we get Water Melee
  6. Shouldn't tyrant just be a 'peak human' at most, now that his connection is severed? I did not understand how he still had his powers after you severed his connection since he never had powers before, but then again chimera is 'just' human but can make himself glow red and fight incarnates

Any word on if any of the other people left died along with chimera, or did we 'capture' them too? Why is there no extra text from prommie after slogging through that trial? D:<

The changes DID NOT make the Quantum enemies irrelevant. It made them manageable.

It still takes work, effort and a little luck to manage them for the average player, though.
ummm, no, unless you blindly run into mobs like an idiot they are no threat at all

(I've been putting a nav marker on the light and jumping back to its position when the counter shows 3 seconds, so at least one is being taken out just as soon as the Quills power activates.)

Whaat? Did you have a dedicated light team? IIRC PANCAKES gets pretty crazy once he hits 20% since you only need to get him to 10% to effectively win, but I don't recall him healing that much.

When you're knocking down overpasses and blowing up buildings, civilians die.) as well as any Praetorians who would have jumped at the chance to leave but weren't given the option, and died in one of the ultimately pointless Resistance/Loyalist or Praetorian/Primal conflicts.
Tyrant is absorbed by hamidon. Super hamidon thusly attempts to take over the multiverse, without any of tyrants reservations. Nice job breaking it, hero!

Beating the Praetorian Hamidon into submission would have been taxing. It would have cost lives. Many lives.

But the world would have been free in the end.

Cole took the opportunity for the Final Stand and decided to instead try to placate the beast with docility. Praetoria sealed itself inside its sonic cage, the people happily oblivious to the threat they were truly under, distracted by the focus on the Resistance and the chaos of Primal Earth.

And the Hamidon grew and grew and grew... Eyeing that caged meal hungrily as it slowly grew under it, creeping ever closer to gulp it down...
oh, ya its too bad they already tried that in that thing called the hamidon wars where every super was almost wiped out
  11. I got through the entire thing fine until the AVs, where I chained all of his AoE's together and mapserv'd

    still got the badge
  12. I will restate that the corruption within the praetorian regime came from the people serving under tyrant, not cole himself. he so much as states it in his own friggin personal story.

anyway he is useless now and not even on the same level as the player incarnates and I expect him to die in some sort of fashion to 'redeem' himself. I doubt any hero will try to off him considering they are fine with playing buddy with the resistance that is running around destroying the city as well as the multitude of villain incarnates. Recluse might off him though
  13. A league I started just beat Tyrant, after failing three times over the last three days and I would say it is one of the things in the game I have ever had the most difficulty doing. I would rather have them increase the iXP reward and the drop rate for Rare and up. I am about 8% from unlocking hybrid and I really do not want to go through the whole thing again for the meagre reward it offers.

I think coordination is a big part in the difficulty though, because on the one team where there were defined roles..it was a steamroll compared to the other 3 attempts I was a part of.

What do oyu have to do to get Prommie to say this? That, and I could have sworn I saw someone post part of a tree about kheldians and their well. I wondered if PBs and Nictus can draw from both at once or something like that

  17. But Rikti are just altered humans, and each species shares a well across dimensions, don't they? Praetorians, Primals, and the Rikti should all be drawing power from the same place.

I thought of the same thing right after he said that line. I am expecting him to end up an enemy by the time everything is over. I just wish there was an option to get on his case about Protean killing the alternate you.

It'd be nice if they addressed how the Rikti beat the battalion alone but somehow they are a super serious threat to the multiverse too

I seriously doubt any villain would be stupid enough to tell the head of Vanguard, the organization tasked with protecting the planet against such high level threats, that they were indeed only helping to become a much bigger problem further down the road.
  21. I haven't been on the beta, but do they explicitly state whether or not the incarnates kill Tyrant? ... or we going to have another rommie where we assume he's dead but later find out he isnt

In the end, sure. Ultimatum no doubt screwed the pooch. Did Marcus Cole HAVE to come to the decision to go on the offensive? No.
If you ran the UG trial you would know that this is false.

The War Walkers were built to not fight at full potential when there was any civilian presence around.

Tyrant EXECUTES the commander of one of his forces who ignores this and deliberately attacks skyway(?) with hamidon spores, and he abandons Valkyrie for causing damage to the city as well, AND he sends Duncan to try and put a stop to Mot.

And he is somehow a generic, card carrying villain?
  24. Praet Hami is supposed to be some sort of eldritch horror looking thing. The better question is why he insists on still fighting you guys when Hami is gearing up to wipe out whats left of humanity, and the most he can do is stalemate the thing
  25. It was made pretty clear that Cole had lost faith in humanity because of them nuking the **** out of everything in the Hamidon Wars. I doubt he trusted the Primals any more, considering its basically a world with superpowered crime everywhere..and already started a war with another alternate earth..
