For some reason, I cannot get the Imperial parts to 'seat' on a female body. No amount of fiddling with the sliders corrects it. They insist on hovering like two 'inches' away from the body.



Is there something broken with my game?

Dink, we could really use more animal parts, especially tails. Pretty much everything, but my specific interests lean toward:

  • More distinct dog breeds -- an easy place to add variety is with more tails. The fox/wolf tails are fine for some breeds, but there's a lot more variety out there. More than any other costume piece I can think of, I want a medium-short, slightly-curved, "whip" type tail, like you'd see on a Dalmatian, Lab, Weimeraner, pit bull, beagle, and countless other short-haired breeds. I'd also like short-haired breed dog heads, but the tail is easier and has wider applicability. The cat tail is a poor compromise.
  • While we're at it, would it be possible to have a different tail animation? Every tail that moves now moves the same, a sort of vaguely cat-like sweep. Although "tail emotes" are not your department, and probably pie-in-the-sky thinking, a few very standardized options for tail movement would be very welcome. Not everyone is a catgirl.
  • More bird parts -- especially beaks. A non-bird-head beak (or better yet, several types -- curved parrot beak, straight bill, duck beak, raptor beak) that can be attached to normal faces would save a lot of us from making do with the harlequin masks.

Also, I don't know if you do weapon customization, but we could use something better for a pole axe or polearm than we now have.

In a response to my previous post about NPC chest details in a beta thread (reposted here), Techbot Alpha and Roderick pointed out that Longbow and Hero Corps NPC's actually have a two-part "chest detail" (emblem and straps), with the emblem actually being part of their tights patterns. Roderick ultimately suggested the following:

"What I'd like to see for groups like this is three new costume parts:
-Chest Detail of the Logo*
-Chest Detail of the straps/bandolier*
-Tights pattern with the logo and signature pattern baked in.

"*We already have these for Longbow, one via Vet Rewards, the other a standard part."

Everyone's game is "broken" in that respect. That piece really needs to be fixed so it is seated on the body and not hovering over it. I am unable to use that piece for females because of this glaring issue.

That... is the craziest Disco-shirt I've ever seen.

Are you sure it's one piece? Looks like it might be a Baggy texture and a Belt?

Actually it seems to be mostly a reskin of Martial Arts Robe 3 I think. The Chinese style one.

Yep, just a reskin of something we already have... shouldn't be hard to allow, right? And it would help alleviate the problem of there being absolutely zero western-type wizardy arcane robes...

Dink, if it's you then this is for you, if it's someone else, please pass this one on;

Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepl easeplease with sprinkles on top can we get alternative versions of the IDF gloves, chest detail and shoulders, along with the new Tech Knight gloves on test, where the second colour ONLY effects the glow? The Tech Knight shoulder, chest detail and boots currently obey this rule, but the gloves get this big, ugly patch of colour all over it.

Example; I want to have black gloves with a blue glow; I can't. I get black gloves with a massive blue patch as well as the blue glow. That really sucks for nearly every concept I have with those pieces. Same with the IDF parts. The IDF NPCs get solid glove colour with a different colour glow, so why can't we have that option? Please, I'm begging here

can we maybe get a new set of boots what looks like the legs on this? the not!feet are really cool and i've got a number of characters would love to have them. also, new tech wings like in the first picture and this one would be wonderful. thanks!

also, it would be really cool if we could get a Nemesis Staff for titan weapons. maybe as an unlock for Unveiler?

What are the odds of players ever getting things like the Shock Trooper chest harness?



As much as I hate to say it, necks in this game are wimpy and flimsy looking on everything but Huge models, who have no necks. Stuff like that chest harness (as well as the Resistance chest armor, the Retro Sci-Fi chest armor, and the upcoming Cosmic Corsair back detail) all have a really nice neck guarding element that adds to a character's "visual sturdiness" (a term I coined just now).


My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor
"Dark Armor is a complete waste as a tanking set."

:O oooooooo i like that! Males AND females need that along with longer tunic type of robes that go to the floor or longer skirts/dresses for females and long robes in general.

can we get some of the cimeroran pieces ported to players? namely:

sandals with perpendicular straps
sandals with diagonal crowwing straps
wrist bands that match the two above sandals
the toga bottom only
toga top only
chest sash with broach/shield
double chest sash
chest straps

Yo Dink.

Thanks for making that Celestial Armor fix. Seriously, I avoided those costume parts because of the horrible faded pretinting. If you could give other pretinted costume parts this kind of treatment whenever you get a chance that would be freakishly awesome.

And to anyone out there who had their costume ruined by this fix, we do have faded colors available in the color selection already. So you can still have that faded look you want. But now the rest of us can have a nice, solid look to the armor, as well.

I just want to mention that we really, really need a neck slot.

Not having one and not having the appropriate options in a neck slot is forcing us to make some fairly arbitrary and ridiculously limiting design decisions for our characters. It's one thing to not be able to have a cape and wings or a chest symbol and chest armor. Those things actually conflict. But why oh why can't we have a collar and shoulder pads? An ascot and a chest symbol?

I remember hearing that there was a limited number of attachment points for the character model and that they where running dangerously low. Honestly? I'd be willing to give up whatever might be available that making a neck-slot would preclude.

It's just getting silly. Especially since the sorts of things (chokers, necklaces, ties) that would go in a neck slot seem to be distributed so randomly. Face detail 2, Shoulder, Chest, very little of it seems to be dictated by a central guiding principle. What makes a choker a Face Detail 2 option and a spiked collar a Shoulder option besides arbitrary choice?

Here's an unusual request for you Dink ... Tie-Dye.

I'm thinking take the existing T-Shirt (long and short), and Belly Shirts and the like, and make a Pattern for them that is ALL pre-tinted colors in a Tie-Dye rainbow swirl, and leave just the skin tone as a player pick option. Could possibly do the same for Skirts/Shorts and Pants as well.

Why?
Well, we've got Nature Affinity now ... and that means FLOWER POWER!

Yeah, that's one thing I'd love to get, myself - IDF gear that has the ENTIRE part in the primary colour and ONLY the glow in the secondary colour. I get that sometimes, you just have to bleed colour between item details to get around the two-colour limit, but in these cases, I'd just like to see a variant which isn't as bled-over. The IDF gear would be amazing if I could make it, say, all lack, but keep the lights a different colour without affecting the rest of the metal.

I'd like to see the return of the old non-spike version of the Spiked Pauldrons. They were in game when CoV launched but have since disappeared.

I haven't read this entire thread, so please forgive if this has been mentioned already...

How about opening up the selection of stuff to stick on the medieval helms? More than once I've thought about using one of them for a robot of some sort and then remembered (once I've opened up the costume creator) that they pretty much only get horns. :/ I'd like to get the goggles, coms, etc. that the other helms get; that'd certainly pair well with some of the new techknight options coming soon.

Speaking of CoV beta costume pieces that did not launch with the game. I would like to see the non-fanged version of the skull head shoulder pads. Not sure why they were not launched seeing as the only difference was one had fangs and the other did not.
