and yah, people will gripe and complain either way. I like Penny. She's in the SSAs, she gets her own taskforce, and she gets a splash page. Don't get where the Mary Sue-ism is coming in (I never bother reading Venture's snide drivel). That's about it. She's new, but she's not overt. People ******* much the same about the 4 legged rig. People *****, it's what they think the forums are for.
And when it was Statesman versus the IDF they complained that it was some generic robot fighting the Signature hero. :P

The first one, Shadowhunter and Penny look to be done in two different styles, perhaps by two different artists? Penny seems more cartoonish. Because of this difference, it doesn't seem to flow well.

In-Game it's fine, there's backstory and lore and whatever. And yes, there are certainly fantasy styled superheroes/villains. But first impression for someone new looking at Shadowhunter there is not Superhero MMO.

Between the two of them, I'd be inclined to say 1, but... really, can we have Less of Penny please? I'm kinda tired of everything being about or tied to her.

a couple of issues ago, it was the Bettie Page lookalike with a whip that they were shoving in our faces. Now it's Penny, replacing one character whose "costume" amounted to lingerie with the paramilitary version of same.
This may sound odd, especially for a game based on comic-book superheroes, but do you think you could stop with the gratuitous fanservice? I know it's in genre, but IMO there's a point where it just becomes tiresome and embarrassing, especially when it's the writer's current pet that's being foisted on us (as it usually is).

I like each evenly... In one Penelope looks better while that thing looks worse and in the second its the opposite. Sick of slutted out Penny so ill go 2!
The results are in! In the battle of crotches, Penny is winning go figure. I prefer you don't change it or allow us to chose our v-bulltin board skins maybe a generic one even with no picture that would be nice. I chose option one because um yea it displays her outfit better, and who wants to look at skull crotch guy.

But if I had to choose, I like Penny's appearance in #1 better while #2 has cool poses. Though I'm already going to be seeing those poses on my log in screen so might as well go with 1.

Re: voting... sorry, add me to the "neither" camp. Both pictures have their merits, true, but when I think COH, that's not what I'd expect to see at the top of the screen.
For a HERO option, it'd be cool to just have the Freedom Corps logo, or maybe the Phalanx's, PPD, something. For the VILLAIN option, use Arachnos, Cage, or even the emblem of the Zig. For OTHER, maybe the Praetorian logos (Loyalist/Resistance), the Rogue/Vigilante symbols, something that doesn't take up the entire screen.
It avoids character favoritism, and would probably be a bit easier on the sizing.

I'd prefer Option 1 of the two, but I honestly want to keep the Statesman one as an option rather than just have the new ones.

The amount of border space for art will result in smaller text size on the page. It goes from approximately 20% of the page for art to 40%, which is a huge difference.
I'm visually impaired, I already have to magnify the page. This will make it considerably more difficult for me to read the forums.
