  5. I myself have the lifetime sub to CO, but really only a single higher level (31) character. I've been thinking of going in and deleting the lower level characters I have and basically starting from scratch on them again.

If CoH gets a reprieve I may not act upon that, but should the end come here I'll go back to CO for certain.

Makes sense to me. The name reminds me of the scene where you first see James Bond in Goldfinger. "Dink" was the young lady giving 007 a massage at the pool.

Same goes for generally hand to hand characters that have some ranged attacks (Capt America throws his sheild, Thor throws his hammmer - and if you really piss him off will bring lightning into play, Superman has lasers coming out of his eyes, etc.

Personally, I'd like to see a new Archetype that would support such concepts. Yes, there is Boxing for Blasters, but I've tried it, and frankly found that it's pretty useless.
Closest I've come to creating a Power Armor character (my main guy and namesake) uses Energy Blast / Energy Manipulation / Force Mastery, along with the Flight, Fighting, and Stealth pools. Add in the appropriate Incarnate powers and you can do a decent "power armor". I'm always tweaking that build.

EDIT: Oh and on the topic: My son has been requesting what I'd call Primate Mastery (he had watched the last Planet of the Apes movie) for Masterminds.
  8. Discovered my issue, not going to go into the steps involved as it was quite complicated.
  9. This has been an occasional issue for me in the past, but now it has become intolerable.

Before, I could log in and browse the forums, and once in a while I would be inexplicably logged out. Log back in, good to go.

In the last week or so, I simply cannot stay logged in. I log in, it says it was successful, and half the time it pulls up the forums without being logged in. The times that it does show as logged in I can only go maybe two pages and I'm logged out again.

Any insights on what to do about this? In fact, I'll be shocked if this message goes through the first time.

On the contrary, I certainly do. However, I was thinking of the wrong Heinlein novel when I wrote that (The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress). ST does have some Libertarian themes (most of Heinlein's stuff does). Apologies for the confusion.

I would love to see a movie that follows the book. The opening scene with the powered suits vs. the yellow "skinnies" should be awesome.

    "I'm a 30 second bomb!!! I'm a 30 second bomb!!! 29...28...27..."

If there was ever a movie that required remaking, it's Starship Troopers. My only regret is that I won't see Dina Meyer nekkid again. Keep it true to the book, please.

Also, ST is not so much fascism as a Libertarian wet dream.

  13. Eh, the second D&D movie was at least entertaining (I watch the first to MST3K it). I'll probably give this one a look too.
  14. Curiosity is too big (about the size of a compact car) for the balloon method to work.

  15. And Milla Jovovich too. *yum*

I enjoyed the other 4 movies, and this looks to be of the same vein. I am so there.

    Ooookay....

anyways... I like the look of the characters better in 1, so that's my vote.
  17. Metallic skin. Similar to the Metallic (Metal? I forget the exact name. The non-witchblade one) costume pieces but without the gawd awful lines.

Also (this is a big one for myself): Tool tips for the colors, describing what color your mouse is hovering over. It would be helpful for those of us who have varying degrees of colorblindness.

Then I think it was a success. I took my son to it, and I'd say most of the audience was older (60s or so).

Both my son and I enjoyed it. Watching Moe slapping the cast of that one show around was priceless IMHO.

Great movie? No. Entertaining (for someone who appreciates Stooges humor)? Yes.

    YMMV

Yes I know in the new series they can fly.
Bah... Real Daleks don't have problems with stairs. Real Daleks level the building.

I'm going to guess that they are clones of the originals, as they had the ability to create dozens of Alice clones.
