That art style almost reminds me of the Perfect World's game graphics, which I think would be awesome for CoH! And maybe get people off the dated graphics comments. Now only if they can get that style and keep the sliders as they are (if not improve them).

Anyway, as far as in-game models I have to add another vote for Mirror Spirit, simply because she's got the best model of the NPCs I've encountered so far. Most of the female signature characters I've encountered, at least in their "stand in one spot because they're contacts" versions, are just way too skinny, which leaves even Twinshot and Flambeaux beating most of them.

Also, I'm a big fan of one particular Longbow model:

cutesy LB model

I first encountered this model while playing a villain, and it was hard to get a good screenshot while fighting, so I was happy to find this lady standing in one place talking to a civilian in Faultline
Wow. I vote for that.

Which would be to say that she's implying your comment about wanting it for your characters was a bit of a non sequitur.

I could be wrong though.
Non sequitur indeed. Asking to have more comic book style outfits on the forums of a comic-book-based MMO was uproariously funny. Enough so I may have woken the neighbors while laughing at it.
Ohhhhhh... Highbrow Humor...... good one.

Okay....
Now back to your regularly scheduled beauty pageant...

Going from the in-game, not artist renderings, characters... I still stand by my previous vote for Mirror Spirit.
I remember the first time I saw her, thinking, "Oooooooo... I want a costume like THAT". And, compared to the others, I still think she is the most unique and beautiful.

EDIT: Hey, while I'm here, I should put in a vote or two, shouldn't I? Well, then, in no particular order (since I wouldn't want to upset some of these ladies by 'ranking' them):
Then obviously people missed the point of the post.

People go "I want the stretchy fabric" well if that becomes the norm, we lose out on the body hugging outfits that comics are known for. And which in fact, people complain about being in comics, then makes one wonder, why come to the comic book game if you don't care for the medium?

And yes I know the medium has made use of fabric that stretches as it should.

Actually, that pic of Ghost Widow I posted was a background pick that NCSoft used to have for one of their web pages on the website a while back (I forget which one). When I saw it, I knew I had to "have it" and I use it as the desktop for my iMac on the OS X side of the box. The Windows side I use another one of the rotating background pics that was on that NCSoft web page featuring Sarah Morrison (of Tabula Rasa fame) as my desktop picture.

It's nice to see that a few people have good taste -- namely Sapphic_Neko and Quasadu. Because the "hottest" female NPC (to use the common vernacular) is Silver Mantis. Well okay, her exposed skin would be hot. But all that sleek, polished metal would probably be wonderfully cold to the touch.

The "wardrobe malfunction", I got. That was mildly amusing.
But the spinach/iron thing?...
The only correlation to Arcana's second "joke" that I can think of is "Popeye".
And frankly, that IS a stretch, and a pretty poor one at that; certainly not deserving of knee-slapping in my book.

meh
.
I didn't think this required that much explanation. But ok: if someone says "I would like a costume option that looks specifically like X" and I say "hmm, there might be problems with something that does that specifically" then even ignoring the tongue-in-cheek aspect of my post, replying with "some people want the comic book style" seems to have nothing whatsoever to do with my post: its a reply without a reference. I don't know if that is intended to be an agreement, a contradiction, a tangential reference, a clarification, a refutation, an amplification, or a nullification.

Is that supposed to mean "yes, it is a wardrobe malfunction; all comic book style costumes are wardrobe malfunctions and so that's exactly what I want." Or "no, its not a wardrobe malfunction; the comic books style specifically mandates strappy but otherwise ill-fitting tops as everyone knows." Or "regardless of whether its a wardrobe malfunction or not is irrelevant: the need to express the comic book style requires strappy but loose fitting tops and the consequences are not as important as the representation." Or "I recognize that its potentially a wardrobe malfunction, but I want to express the fact that many people are compelled to ask for things that result in that situation, because they are motivated to ask for things they believe to best represent the comic book style of which strappy but loose-fitting tops are a significant subset thereof."

There's so little connection between the two statements that the reader is required to invent one completely out of the blue that is in no way indicated by either statement. When the reader has to invent a connection between a statement and its reply, and the odds of being correct are not good, that's the very definition of a non-sequitor statement.

And non-sequitor statements are usually an indication that the person replying either doesn't understand the original statement, or does understand the original statement but doesn't understand most people will not make the same connections they do to it, so they don't think there's any need to explain. My making another was intended to illustrate the point: everyone either got it, or didn't get it. Those who didn't get it are struggling to figure out what I meant because they have no reference for what I meant, and probably trying to invent meanings instead of recognizing the analogous reference of being non-sequitor.

Which is the point.

It wasn't really "a joke" because it wasn't intended to be funny. It was intended to get people to ask, if my reply appeared to have nothing to do with what it replied to, perhaps that was because what it replied to had nothing to do with the post it replied to either.

And I still do not know how asking for something that is *neither* painted on or stretched across is a request for "the comic book style." I didn't realize there was such a definitive style, but even if there is one then the "loose strappy top look" has escaped my attention for a very long time.

that followed conspired against your purpose.

P.S. Hmmm forgot about the twins. My new vote War Witch, Mirror Spirit, Candy & Mandy.
