There really are three things that creep me out about people's faces in drawn artwork: depicting the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth, depicting people's gums in a regular smile and this - the arrow smiles. It makes the expression look less than genuine, which artwork really shouldn't have an excuse to be.
This actually reminds me of that company showcasing their amazing face-capture technology by motion-capturing a live actor and transferring those to 3D mesh faces. At first I thought their tech really sucked because the 3D characters creeped me out with their unexpressive faces, fake smiles and simulated animation... Until I saw the actor they captured the faces from. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the tech, they just motion-captured a crap actor.
Conventional 2D artwork, as well as proper 3D artwork, need to approach realism with extreme care because if they get close enough, that artwork starts having unfortunate implications. Because honestly... Without speech bubbles and with no background on who Luminary is, she looks like a villain in that pic.

When I look at that picture Zortel posted, the only thing I can think is:

I'm actually drawn to Countess Crey, though I'm not entirely sure why.
It's something about the hair and dress. Something that looks good, and somehow you know not to cross them. Interestingly, I get a similar vibe from Anna Williams of the Tekken series. It must be something about the hair length, high V in the dress, and skindows.
I also really like Vanessa DeVore. I can't say if she's physically attractive, as I'm fairly sure we don't know what that face looks like. But the way she presents herself is memorable.
I always thought this lady was pretty.
Though I'm a straight female.. I'll throw in another vote for Mirror Spirit

However, we do agree that War Witch is hot. I do wish they'd find a way that her spirit could become corporal again through the use of magic. Like using 'Raise Dead' or 'Resurrection,' whichever works best. Killing her off was a big mistake. She is a far better character than Ms. 'Hot Headed' Liberty.

It looks like Mirror Spirit is running away with this, but I have to go with Desdemona.
I can't explain it, but something about her grabbed me the first time I saw an image of her, more than any of the other NPC's in game.
