Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

I almost always invite anyone who asks because if nothing else it's nice to have an audience for my badass spawn shredding.
I'm going back to PR's original post, since this is where a lot of the catfighting originated.

The point of CaptainMan's post wasn't that someone asked to team with him. It was that, when he declined, he was snapped at by the asker. People's support of him is predicated on this contention: Not necessarily that he was soloing, but that someone gave him a stink for soloing.

I think your POV needs to adapt to this reality. Your perception of the thread was "lol teemin sux". It's not an accurate view, but one that you're basing your entire argument chain on.

The first time I saw the LFG tab and the queue wait times I thought that was its function. I would select all the trials and sit and wait. My thinking was that within the 5 minute wait time I would start the trial/event with the others in the queue.
Sadly, this is not the case.

I am glad that my desire is not a lonely wish.

Y'know i thought it was obvious that CaptainMan was objecting to the arrogant assumption that he was somehow obligated to invite a random jerk to his team just because some random jerk wanted it since it was obvious to me, but if PR was really somehow contorting his understanding of the initial posts to that interpretation his responses make more sense even if his initial assumption still doesn't. His assertions in support of his misinterpretations are still way off base since they still came down to insisting that you are always obligated to invite anyone who asks to team with you regardless of what you are doing. That's just stupid.

How I handle the - May I join your team? Request.

If I am actively soloing or have a team - sure.

If I am building a bunch of IO's or marketing - I explain IO'ing may be a while.

If they persist - I invite them and make them leader explaining I may be a while because I am building IO's. If others join the team, I say Hi! and say will join in a bit IO'ing.

I try not to be stupid about it. They want your company for good or ill. Sometimes I have met very good people and have them on my friends list now.

Y'see, now it's a response like that that just makes me believe it even more.

Several years ago I was in the market when someone blind invited me several times in a row. I finally accepted.

Several minutes later, one of the team members asked if I was planning to join the mission soon. I replied, "Nope. I only joined because that was the only way to keep your team leader from blind inviting me a seventh time in a row." Then I quit.

I didn't get invited again.

I'm not sure I feel almost as inpired as Michelle (Virtue ... ugh ...), but having met you I can mentally hear this conversation being carried out in your Arbiter Fabulous voice.

I'm sure that anyone that has met you in person hears the same voice in their head while reading that post.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Sorry but no.

I play during the day while at work. The owners, my bosses, don't mind. Just so long as I get my work done and my subordinates get theirs done.

This does mean, when someone asks me something I AFK. Even if I'm about to die in a mish. I don't even turn around and run to a safe spot. I just AFK and die. BFD, XP is easy. Finding jobs that pay like mine for the little I actually have to do? DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE! I have a better chance of winning the lottery, getting the Bughunter badge AND having Posi PERSONALLY auto-level a toon to 50 for me on Live, then fork over 10 billion Inf, 9999 Reward Merits, and a few thousand Alignment Merits all on the same day.

On the flip side, it's not fair for someone to be told they have to basically stand there with their thumb up their *** for an indeterminate length of time until I'm able to get back to the game (sometimes it can be more than an hour). And most of the time I'm running at a difficulty most SK'ed toons couldn't hope to finish without lots and LOTS of debt.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I'd of told the person yea sure you can join me. But it's an exclusive Cyber-must scenario. You have to be really good, and I get to be the midget juggling six cabbages while riding a giraffe under the sea while singing jesus christ superstar's infamous solo.

Having seen your picture in your Christmas Cake thread, I don't think it's particularly wise to advertise that you engage in Cyber.

Especially around so many D.O.M. posters.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

A girl has to have a healthy RP appetite to survive in the male dominated MMORPG world. Sometimes incentives fall into place, no biggie.

*Also* how can anyone find out who I play in-game if the global is different? I haven't learned all the tricks and things yet.

Anyways, what's D.O.M posters stand for?

Momma always told me to be weary of cowboys.

and that is awesomely lulzworthy. Luckily D.O.M's come with a scent, even in-game.

Your birthday is in April, your name starts with J, and you got a new job three months ago.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.

Never underestimate the Internet, or those who dwell there.

Weary? Or wary?

Also, I deny the existence of a D.O.M. scent. Aside from natural pheromones of course.

If you want to remain anonymous on the internet, you have to be extremely careful. It took me exactly three minutes to verify all three of Aneko's assertions. I won't specify how publicly, but if you PM me I'll tell you exactly how it was probably done.

Be careful out there.

I'll confirm it (also privately), of course.

Speaking of which, don't confirm things yourself with your reactions. <.<
