I would pay well over 500 points if it were a walrus.

Thanks Golden Girl for proving a point that I made earlier.

At 500 points the dog is rabid & needs to be put down for its own good.

Make a portion of the proceeds from the pet power go to the Humane Society or some other charity that focuses on animals and I'd consider making the purchase.

I honestly wish people would not do this. You are sending the wrong message to marketing. If lots of people buy this, rewarding them for the idea, Marketing will think the price is right. Only way to get reasonable prices for stuff like this is to not buy it.

I don't really agree with the "blame the (so-called) 'victim'" mentality.

By that logic, we should all be mad at you for Buying all the costume slots. Seems like inconsistent reasoning. And there is no reason to jump to the conclusion that since they spend 500 points on ONE item, that they are spending ALL of their hard earned money.

i noticed this, i got it when it was still 120 pts, but eh 40 pts is nothing to me cause A) its 50 cents, and B) more money to support the devs even though its only 50 cents

I might buy the German Shepard if it did that "butt drag across the ground" walk that dogs do.

Actually the price for the path aura was lowered last week when the patch that broke things was put out.

The dog is more than I want to spend; but not by much. 400 points or standard monthly alotment be better.

With only one pet out at a time, I will be using a buff pet most of the time anyhow.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

A few points

  • The final, final version of Titan Weapons is not yet on live. We've made changes which have not yet been pushed to a live build. Don't fret though, I have a sneaking suspicion you'll be seeing larger than average weapons soon™.
  • Allow me to be perfectly blunt: We will not release a new costume part each and every week. We will not release a new power set every other week. We will not release something that you, yes you, specifically you, find compelling each and every week. What we will do is strive to put a variety of offerings on the Market which appeal to many different individuals. The wonderful thing is, if it doesn't strike you as compelling, then you don't have to spend your points on it.
Please remember that just because something doesn't resonate with you, doesn't mean it won't with your fellow players. Let's try to avoid the belittling comments.

Hmm,

Not going to buy a useless dog pet when I don't use the current useless pets I have.

The only reason to buy a dog pet is if it actually does something.

1. Attacks bad guys on command.
2. Fears bad guys by barking at them.
3. Jumps on target and knocks them down.
4. Takes a leak on target's leg on command.
5. I can throw a ball/frisbee/cat and it retrieves it.
6. It can pull my fallen body out of agro range when I get taken down. (Hey Rin Tin Tin could)
7. Barks at hidden/stealthed enemies and makes them reveal.

Nice 4 leg rig though. Seriously this is like releasing a single passenger car with a top speed of 10 mph when what the customer is looking for is at least a mini-van which will go 65-75 mph and carry a soccer team.

I'd like to see more Account things have sales. Character Slots, Transfers, Respecs, Renames, Costume Slots, Storage Upgrades (Enhancement/Recipe/Salvage/AH) and so forth. Even just one a week would tantalize more.

I'd buy enhancement storage if they were 75% off.

If it did something like that other than follow and not just look cute following you around it might be worth the 500 Paragon Points, but it is not worth the 500 Paragon Points.

By saying this is 500 Paragon Points they are saying the Original Vet Non Combat Pets are worth 500 Paragon Points. Does that make sense? Not to me.

It is 100 Paragon Points more than a Costume Set. It 100 Paragon Points less than the Rocket Board, which carries you around and helps you in the game.

Maybe I don't understand why it is 500 Paragon Points for something that is just decorative. That does nothing that you cannot even customize in the coloring as well. It just is. *scratches head* There are a lot of things sold I do not like and I have never commented on but the price is too high for a decorative accessory. It is too high of a price based on what is already established in the Market and it is a head scratcher on the price.

Since we are asked to discuss this that is what even some naysers are trying to do.

Ok, so what about new sales every week? You're trying to "compel" different people into spending points with a variety of items correct? Well hit us with a different variety of sales per week. I bet you would compel a lot of people into buying a lot of stuff with the good ol' "for sale" bait. Something that wasn't on sale last week may appeal to someone this week with a lower price tag.

Just a thought.

I don't mind 500 points for the dog, as it is funding the development of a rig for 4-legged critters.

At some point, this will lead to an animal-master Mastermind set.
You'll have my points once I get paid.

Allow me to be perfectly blunt in return.

Since Issue 21 I've spent points on for my primary account:
Beam Rifle set. I probably shouldn't have because my BR characters aren't being used.
Halloween Costume Bundle. The parts I did want cost more than 400 points separately, so I bought it.
Autumnal Path aura. I have enough characters that could use this, and the price (even last week) was low enough to convince me to buy it.
Aura and Cape Unlocks. Thank goodness I don't HAVE to do those missions again. Then again, I probably could have just spent Astral Merits on these, but it is nice to have them unlocked from character creation.

I still have nearly 2,700 points (bought $15 worth of point to get 1 token for my 1st purchase and 1 for 1,200 points bought to get the complete Celestial Set) and nothing jumps out as "compelling" enough to buy. Not temp buffs, not auto-tune enhancements, not costume slots, and not even enhancement storage.

On my 2nd account that I had active from July-September, I had 1,600 points with Freedom Launch. Of those, I spent 400 points for the Time Manipulation set. I'll likely spend the rest of the points for the Controller AT... maybe.

The doggie is cute but not 500PP cute and I am glad that some are going to pick the item up so I can see them running around here and there.
