The doggie is cute but not 500PP cute and I am glad that some are going to pick the item up so I can see them running around here and there.

LOL. I had the volume pumped up again today but while doing the ToT in PI. Loved being able to just cycle through the big booms and feel a bit of shake from the subwoofer immediately followed by the fweeeeeeem!

I know that they have been a bit annoying to some and on the system I used to run CoH on they were... well, kinda "tinny". Last night I finished building my new desktop gaming system (first time in 7 years) and I picked up some cheap Creative speakers (A220) that include a sub-woofer. I pumped up the sound and headed in to CoH to see what damage I could do.
Picked up on a BAF and wow! Love the sounds and they ring so clear across the speakers. I have indeed fallen back in love with the FWEEEM!

PBs can make good blappers and although I usually run right in with the scrapper mentality with mine, I have taken advantage of the ranged attacks and sat back a bit especially when NS decided that I was the most dangerous person on the map during one BAF and would immediately go after me if I got too close.

Even when badge hunting (exploration, history, defeats) I have yet to see a single, "Let's get Hami" pop up at all in First Ward. Weekday, weeknight, weekend... does not seem to matter. Heck I have only seen a total of 4 LFT messages so far.

Yesterday's patch ate almost all of my game time. Not only did it take forever to download but CoH then threw an error and evidently the repair was downloading it again.

I am still leveling a few toons so I can wait until this is on sale. I enjoyed the 3 hours of StJ before it was wiped from beta but I had fun with it. Here's hoping for a decent sale around the holidays.

Bravo! An introductory arc that I really, really enjoyed. The different arcs and the way everything came together was incredibly well done IMHO. -

Sorry to hear about the team but those things happen. You just deal and roll on and kudos for asking for advice rather than just ranting about it. It could have been a lot of things. Heck I once ran with the star for 9 hours one day. people who dropped due to time and stuff were sending tells asking if a spot was open to get back on the team. We rolled through a lot of content and some of the other players were literally singing praises of my superb leadership ability in broadcast. Two months later I was running with the star (rare for me, especially that super long time I just mentioned) and I could not keep a team together/alive at all. Some times things mesh and some times they do not.
Me, when I play my Em/Pistols defender (that was once part of an all defender team that kicked serious butt) I say up front that I stay near the back of the melee pack and shoot things in the head with a bit of healing and buffing going on when I can. So far no complaints.

Thanks to everyone who posted info on this set. I love making costumes and can spend hours each week @ Icon but after reading everything here I am definitely going to pass on this set. So far the only thing in the store I have bought so far is the beam rifle set and if this costume set and the Pirate and a few other things are the way this whole thing is headed then just... meh.

Another person playing Beam/NRG. I had two during the beta and enjoyed them both. The trick is getting to know and love disintegration.

I heard from a friend who has a friend who knows this guy who has an uncle that once heard that this was all a ruse while they started locking the forums behind the new pay structure and that it was going to take 1600 paragon points to unlock access.

The current Archetype and Powers forums can seem very intimidating to a new user/some current users. In some cases these forums also are not the most active. A tactic I have found to be successful in the past is to group these forums into playstyle or role type, transferring over the most relevant and current posts. The division would go something like this: -
I have two at almost all times and, for a handful of seconds, three on occasion. My build is not complete yet so I hope to have 3 for a bit longer in the near future. Nothing like standing in the middle of the chaos while the fluffies rip into anything around me.

My most recent Scrapperlock was actually on my human only PB build. She has the level shifts from Alpha and has a T3 shift from one of the incarnates. We were running a BAF and somehow I ended up getting the star (was not the original lead nor star after we zoned). I was taking on the adds on my own by swallowing insps, popping powers, throwing alien light, shooting, and beating on things. When I finally see my name scroll by 6 times in chat. Evidently the original star wanted his star back and really wanted the adds to live long enough to reach the AV so that the team could just reduce them via AoEs. Scrolling back up I noted that he tried a few times to get my attention but not once via a tell. -

I always try to pick up both but on my Emp/Pistols I only had room for one and went with Executioner's Shot. For the same reason the Dr Who has worn bow ties and a fez. Because it's cool.
Love the animation of the power, probably one of my faves and about the only one I like in that entire set.
