Why do you withhold Street Justice from us?

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

Finally!

I put on my robe and wizard hat...

Veridian Dynamics. Mistakes. We all make them. But sometimes mistakes lead to great discoveries. Mistakes are how we learn and grow... so we can do amazing things.
When you think about it, shouldn't you be thanking us for making mistakes? Veridian Dynamics. We're sorry. You're welcome.

Well that just ruins the mood. That hat *really* tied the whole costume together.

No robes either.

Can someone out there show me where all the pieces are? It's not listed in the tailor yet and you have to hunt and guess where the rest of the set is.

I wonder what clipping issues the hats could have. I was really hoping to get them. I saw Positron's post earlier, but if they could add the hats to this set, I would be very pleased. As is, I'm not impressed. The new hood and belt are really all I am interested in.

So I thought Posi and Zwil said they weren't gonna nickel and dime us and so far there is what 2 new costumes sets that we have the option to buy. So does that mean from now on guys that we don't get any more new custom? Or are you gonna make us buy all the costumes now? OK so we get 400 points a month, but I was kinda under the impression as a VIP i was gonna get alot more out of being a VIP member. Kinda disappointed!

Shouldn't that be "Disguise yourself in villainous style as a low ranking, minion member of the occult group Circle of Thorns"

No Flamboyant Pope for you.

Also, no large strapped gloves, and no long skirts. You may want to migrate the discussion already being had to here.

I notice the costume slots are on sale as well..

This angers me greatly. I bought one at the full price.. had I known they would go on sale so quickly.. I would have waited..

Many VIP players have have points stored up from the last several months to spend on new costume sets and powers.

Also, they said that we would get more out of our money. That will be impossible to quantify, however. Free costume sets came out every other issue or so, even before booster packs. Now we have had 2 free costume sets with an issue release and 2 for pay costume sets. Even buying 1 of them with your stipend you are getting "more out of being a VIP member". Maybe. Who knows? Without Freedom, we don't know how many people they would be able to staff and how much content they would be able to push out.

They have always said that a completionist will not be able to get everything with their stipend.

Says there are 12 pieces to this set. I'm only counting 11.

  • Head Options
    • Hoods
      • Circle of Thorns
  • Upper Body
    • Tights
      • Circle of Thorns
    • Shoulderpads
      • Circle of Thorns
      • Circle of Thorns 2
    • Gloves
      • Circle of Thorns
      • Circle of Thorns w/ spikes
    • Belt
      • Circle of Thorns
  • Lower Body
    • Skirts/Kilts/Shorts
      • Circle of Thorns
    • Bottom/Legs/Tights
      • Circle of Thorns
    • Boots
      • Circle of Thorns
      • Circle of Thorns w/ spikes
Thats 11 pieces. The pack said 12. Am I missing one, or are we shortchanged a piece?

No hats and no collars? Not even 'Demonic Xmas Decoration" back pieces? I thought the whole point of redesigning an established NPC group was to open up their costume options to players.

We're now getting, well, if not the worst of both worlds, then the most mediocre. Was this worth sacrificing (ahem) the CoT's classic robed cultist look?

No hats, no skirts, and no wings. This pack makes me very, very sad. For the first time, ever, I'm not buying it.

Not to be too harsh, but this whole CoT thing has been one of the biggest botch jobs in City of Heroes development (in my opinion).

Players want access to NPC costume pieces. The developers completely change how a faction looks, perhaps with the intention of giving players access to it as well. Dev team claims to love it, most players hate it (at least from the initial preview). Many players have come to accept it (I still think it has a worse/less interesting look than the original pieces). Then, players are given the most boring pieces from that set. In my opinion, this was a huge waste of art resources. What gives?

Soon as I get home from work, I'll be updating the link in my sig with that information... but that'll still be another 5+ hours.
