No hats, but a hood.
No wings.

Skirts/Kilts it does have.

You fell prey to their marketing trap. Costume slots are very coveted, so it is only natural from a business standpoint to put them at a premium price for the people that gotta-have-it-nao, and then lower it later to entice others into buying them. I'm not attempting to insult you, just a heads-up for the future when they put a high-priced-highly-desired item on the market.

OK so we get 400 points a month, but I was kinda under the impression as a VIP i was gonna get alot more out of being a VIP member. Kinda disappointed!
You gotta remember, these aren't Issue updates. We are getting new stuff on a weekly basis so far! If we want that trend to continue, they have to put a price on it to cover the increased output costs.

I fully expect we will see new costume sets released with Issue updates, much like Defender and IDF were done with Issue 21, and the same goes for power sets. But since we are seeing MORE stuff, you better believe that we are going to have to pay for much of it.

My recommendation: don't buy something until you have a concept and/or character that needs it. By all means, support Paragon Studios, lord knows I will, but just be smart about it.

@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.

Also suprised the Thorn Blade for broadsword isn't included. I know it's unlockable in game with the Soul Binder badge, but, well, that doesn't stop Paragon Studios from selling the Vanguard Pack.

Do you also get pissed off when you buy a gallon of milk at the store, then find out the next day that same gallon is on sale for $1 less? It's a sale, not a permanent price reduction. It happens.

Anyway, look at the bright side: I paid $20 for an extra enhancement tray, and you KNOW those are going on sale at some point. So when they do, you can point and laugh at me, and I will sheepishly accept it.

The Circle of Thorns pattern is probably the 12 piece.

Wow..color me PO'ed. So they say we're gonna get all these cool NPC costume parts, but they only give us the bare freaking minimums. Not even the cool gauntlets that many of my alts would have loved to use, or the skirts with the coat tails, or long robes (even though us players have been clamoring for those forever. Seriously, what is the point of teasing us with all this cool stuff, saying that players are going to get most of the NPC stuff, then giving us the bare bones, while leaving out the coolest things that we really wanted?
Yeah, color me disappointed and PO'ed indeed.

Oh.

Mentally, I don't count a pattern as a costume piece, since all it is is a color mod. If that's the 12th piece, i feel kinda ripped

I dont think pattern should count. Only it should count if you can use it on tights textures.
Also if this costume set is the trend to follow when it comes to NPCs conversions, get used to it

Using that same logic. I go to a retail store and make a purchase. Less than a week later the same item I purchased goes on sale. I go back to the retail store and wish to speak to management about receiving money back equal to the discount.

Now, it's been a while since I've actually shopped at a retail store as I do most of my shopping online. Still, less than 5 years ago this was acceptable. I guess it mostly depends on the retailer and how much of a stink one makes.

I may not get the outcome I seek, but I'm definitely going to try.

In regards to the CoT costume bundle. My guess is the good stuff will be reserved for a set of Tier 9 VIP costume packs.

And if it were a physical retail store, you could do that, because you're face-to-face with a representative of the company. And a lot of times, they'll only give you money back if it's a permanent price break, as sales are time-limited, and you made your purchase outside of that limit.

But it doesn't work with online retailers because of the lack of face-to-face contact. You can't complain to Amazon that the book you bought last week was discounted. (Well, you can, but it won't get you anywhere.)

This is going to be my last comment on this topic for a while, because I know that costumes are my pet dead horse, but I really think it is worth saying one last time: The ball was really dropped on this Paragon Market content. Not buying this.

I just realized it doesnt have the other two belts from the mages.... or the gloves.... or the longer spiker kilt.... well now that i've bought it and realized this i find myself disappointed too. Wow the more i look at that picture above i realize we got sold a stripped down lemon. Hey devs you know what can erase my disappointment? RELEASE STREET JUSTICE!

The 12th so-called "costume piece" is indeed the pattern, since it shows up in the store separately, but as far as I can tell it can't be used on anything other than the CoT chest/legs, which doesn't sound right at all. If it can be bought separately, it should be usable separately.

Also adding my disappointment to the pile, but I'm not sure it will make any difference. Haven't bought it yet, not sure I can think of many uses for the pieces I've seen in the costume creator so I'm not sure I will ever.

Pity that. I was looking forward to the hat.

sorry nc, I can't defend you if these types of, uh, lets call them "oversights" are continuously made

Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.

if they release the other pieces in other cot packs i'll understand becuase it is alot of items but dont do it half way and give us a handful of pieces and call it done.

No robe, no hat, no purchase. Redesigned a enemy group and you still taunt us with the pieces we wanted in the first place. What a sick joke and a rip off.

I can live with this. I would buy them as soon as they hit. Because of the amount of items in the set, I could even see that being reasonable. However, based on Posi's post I am not expecting a second CoT set. This is another spot where I would LOVE to be wrong.

Like I said in the other thread, I do like the pieces we got... and I'm sure I'll get good use out of some of them... but they're just not the bits I was really looking forward to playing around with.

Not giving us any of the mage parts takes this set from an "Oh yeah! That's excellent!"-thing to an "Eh. It's okay, I guess."

Maybe if they had included CoT weapons I would consider purchasing it. Especial if they didn't make the oversight of leaving one of the weapon sets out of the costume.

I'm still highly annoyed that EVERY weapon set got a Celestial weapon option except Ninja Blade and Claws. And the fact that the Barbarian set didn't include Katana, Ninja Blade, Claws, or Dual Blades is going to make me more cautious about purchasing a new costume set until I have verified that if there is a particular weapon left out it's not one I was thinking about using.
