Street Justice I'm getting immediately. Rerolling a level 34 character for it.
Costume slots are still not worth it even at 25% off. If you guys still think I'm going to spend that much money on extra costume slots, you're totally loony. I'm not going to pay $37.50 for more costumes. I might buy them if they were 75% off. Otherwise I'm spending exactly $0 on this.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Where are the new items mentioned on Twitter and the new sales mentioned on Facebook please?

Sometime after sales at full price slow down. Telling people in advance would be counterproductive, as a large number will just wait until the sale.
Or in other words, it'll go on sale sometime after you give up and pay full price.
There are two player sides to the debate over the Paragon Market prices.
1) Those who think the prices, for the most part, are set too high for the perceived value of the object(s) in question. I myself fall into this camp.*
2) Those with disposable income such that buying anything at the PM that might strike their fancy (or their WANT IT NAO!!! button) is a mere trifle. These folks are likely also accustomed to these types of transactions from other games and accept them as they are.
Voices on the forum, or folks lined up at the store? Which do you think Marketing is paying attention to?
Gloomily, I foresee no real change in the pricing structure already in place.
*And, in the interest of full disclosure, this morning I paid for Paragon Points in order to purchase the Street Justice powerset NAO. I am part of the problem. *sigh*
M. Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me...it was Tuesday.

McClane: Hey, thanks for saving my daughter's life.
Farrell: What was I going to do?
McClane: That's what makes you "that guy."

When are we VIPs getting our monthly allowance of Paragon Reward points?
I hope they're not delaying the allowances just to squeeze some extra profit off of the new microtransaction content.

New Webcomic -- Genocide Man
Life is funny. Death is funnier. Mass slaughter can be hilarious.
PANCAKE YES!!! MOTHER PANCAKING STREET PANCAKING JUSTICE. That's what I'm talking about. \m/
And oh, look, I'm unemployed now, with a bunch of Paragon Points on my account already. Guess I've got something to keep me occupied with for a while.

Thanks for alerting us to the new stuff!
I look forward to a 50% off sale for Street Justice in the (far?) future.
Shouldn't Street Justice actually be in the Featured list, then, not just findable under Powers by searching?

Listening to other people tell you how to price your product is a waste of time with a digital goods store like this where you can adjust the prices trivially on the fly. I'm sure every bit of data from the store is getting analyzed six ways from Sunday right now, and we'll see adjustments as time goes on.
However, one thing everyone should be prepared for is that prices will tend to be on the high side, punctuated by occasional sales. This is the model that seems to be working best in the hybrid space right now - you get full price from the folks who either have to have it now, or who regard the cost as trivial, and then when you do the sale, you get a mass influx from those who impulse buy, as well as the scattered few who actually possess patience.

Any 50% sale, especially for a hot item like a powerset, is likely a looong way off.
When I had time to play on Beta and the patience I couldn't get into the store to purchase StJ (Mac user here) so I'm not going to spend 800 points on a set I might not like. But more power to you guys that are purchasing it. I'll save my points for Staff Fighting and/or Titan weapons.
I understand why they priced it at 800 points instead of the 650 sale price, I mean if there is anything that this community lacks it's self control over the new shiny stuff. As far as it going on sale, I assume that if people don't bite on it for 800 points they will put it on sale, but probably no time soon. Could you imagine the outcry from people that spent 800 points on it only to have it go on sale shortly after?
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

No permanent items have been discounted below 20% at this point, though, you are correct.
EDIT: As Void Huntress points out below, Costume Slots 6-10 are currently 25% off. Math error on my part.

VIP Paragon Points for September
Answer ID 8873 | Published 09/29/2011 11:57 AM | Updated 09/29/2011 11:57 AM Why didn't I receive Paragon Points on my September billing date? On the day the City of Heroes Freedom began, existing subscribers received credit for being VIPs for September and were awarded their Paragon Points. If you were a subscriber on the day Head Start began, you received your Paragon Points for September on that day, instead of on your billing date. Starting in October you will receive your Paragon Points on your game account's billing date, as long as you maintain VIP status. |
I would of thought they could of classed 400 points as a headstart gift and continued as planned on the billing dates.
Oh well, that will teach me for getting an extended sub...
I see you're sellin' 400 points for five dollas! How 'bout 10 points for 12 cents?

I'm just glad it's up. I was afraid it was going to be another "Gunslinger" fiasco when I noticed it as a selectable power this morning, but trying to purchase it gave an "UNKNOWN SKU ERROR"
