See, and that's exactly the point. Nobody in support even knows what's going on when you first submit the ticket. You end up going back and forth three or four times for an issue that doesn't need to exist. There's no way you can tell me it would be that hard to set up a couple of new database fields tied to more accurate renewal data that would grant the points and token at the beginning of the subscription rather than the end.

And the freekin' BADGES! Seriously, those badges are something WE'RE PAYING FOR and not receiving! It's been 6 months! Part of the money they still get from me goes to those badges, I'm paying for them and NOT GETTING THEM and that, at 6 months feels like a f'in RIP OFF. Feels that way because in fact it is a RIP OFF. "City if Heroes, come for the capes, stay for the RIP OFF."

I notice that for some reason they never seem to have issues billing my account on time and yet they always seem to lag behind with the free points, badges and server transfers. Funny how that works isn't it?

"Lag behind" with the badges? Have you gotten any (formally veteran reward) badges since "Freedom" went live?!?!? Has ANYONE?!?!?!? We're paying for the damn things AND NOT GETTING THEM AT ALL AND THAT IS ********.

See, and that's just it, nobody is laughing. Nobody is laughing at the continuing abuse, nobody is laughing at the lack of red name response. Nobody thinks it's funny at all. Hey, people over there who can do something to fix this in a DAY (and yes, I know it would be that simple, don't pretend it isn't. It's a simple database modification that would take almost no time to implement, test, and roll live): Here's a solution to all the abuse you perpetrate: FIX IT! No excuses, no nonsensical tech-speak about how it would cause the servers to melt down. Just get in there, figure out what data fields you need to track to accurately award VIPs their rewards, and make it happen! How easy would it make your lives to know that every person who subscribes instantly gets his/her rewards the moment they log in? Let's see... you do the right thing... customers are happy... complaints go down... everybody's life just got easier... wow, you know what? I don't think there's a downside. Oh, darn, I just found one. It means you have to do your job... that you get paid for.

Exactly, I don't get why it is so hard, account rolls over on XX date, 'rewards' are 'given' on either that day or the day after, should be easy. But all I get from them is they give them out on some arbitrary date that has nothing to do with anything, and it still doesn't come out on those dates. It makes no sense (but then little does with them any more). If my account lapses it goes down the day before it says (if I am playable til the 15th they turn me off on the 14th), but the 'rewards' can be up to a week or two after...

an no, you guys are right, the last badge I got was for tokens 34, and I am on 46. & the old ones are no more... one more problem I hadn't even noticed really, though there was a bit of a nagging. ...but then the token system has been pretty broken since day one of this free-dumb fiasco.

well, there have been class action law suits for things like this before, there will be laws about this kind of thing one of these days.

Another month rolls by, no badge (they can't get the tokens right, they certainly can't get the badges based on them right either), 3 days after my account rolls over, and still no points, no token, nothing. And I have yet to hear any kind of response from then on this that makes any sense at all. They said it would be right by February, but that's obviously not the case.

...Well I CAN say with certainty that the date you created the account ALSO has nothing to do with it. My account was created on 8-6-04, but I am lucky to get my rewards before the month ends, Even the dates they told me last month did not hold true, I got the points at least by the 19th then (and my account rolled over a day later last month), and the token like 6 days after that. This is completely arbitrary, and has nothing to do with anything other than 'we will give you what we feel like, when we feel like it, if we feel like it, we don't care what you feel you are entitled to'. They also seem to think that those of us who pay with the time cards (for whatever reason) are not entitled to the same level of service.

People on this board have called me "entitled" (as if that's a bad thing!), and maybe that's true (I won't say what that makes them though), but when I pay for a service I feel I am ENTITLED to get good service, when I pay for a product I am ENTITLED to get what I was promised, a reasonable working item in a reasonable amount of time. That is what the free market is all about. And it is NOT a 'bad thing'. (It is when people stop feeling entitled to getting a good product and good service and just accept whatever they are given that it is a "bad thing"!) And when I don't get good service I am entitled to look elsewhere for that service or do without (FOOL and WoD mmos will be out before too much longer, maybe they will be good...). But because they are not producing a physical product, they feel they are entitled to not make it work correctly or on time, because they can always fix it later, if they bother at all... And instead of people buying things because they are quality products and services, they are doing so for other reasons, many due to addiction to one level or another (we comic book people are notorious collectors after all, and mmo players get attached to their toons, this coming from a 14 year vet of mmo's, almost 8 of which here, who has hundreds of characters).

Being entitled isn't always a bad thing, but accepting a lower quality service for the same if not more money, is never a good thing. We are PAYing for a service here (and some of us are paying a lot!), we Should demand GOOD service! It is because people just accept whatever they are given that companies like Blizzard can exist.
Despite what they tell us, the rich do not drive the economy, it's consumers!

Well, another month, still no yearly badge.

Time to go file another "what is the status of this issue?" ticket with billing support. I encourage everyone who is missing a vet badge, which is probably quite a few people by now, to do the same.

I have an update regarding inconsistent dates for when your Paragon Point stipends are being awarded.

A fix was recently implemented so that for most VIP customers, Paragon Points should now be consistently awarded on your billing date. However, this fix may not apply in all cases, particularly if you were experiencing issues early on during the Freedom launch.

If you're still finding that the day you receive your stipend seems to be changing, please contact customer service, as they should now be able to permanently correct it for you.

That is good news that they can now correct that!
I don't suppose there is any word on being able to get reward tokens upfront from prepaid subscriptions... but, please do keep it in mind!

Thanks for the update.

It doesn't explain the rationale for not awarding the monthly Paragon Reward Tokens on the same date however.

It also doesn't explain the rationale for awarding the server transfer tokens on the 1st of the month either.

I filed a ticket with Customer Service over a month ago (reference number 120316-000266) and specifically mentioned the problem with my VIP Rewards. There was literally NO RESPONSE given for that issue (VIP Rewards) in my ticket. *NONE* ... AT ALL ...

My billing date is the 15th of the month.
My reward token for the month has not arrived yet (and today is, well ... the 19th).
My stipend of Paragon Points for the month ... no idea when that is going to arrive, since the date of the award has been slipping in the wrong direction ever since Freedom launched. It's almost like my 400 point stipend is on a 32-33 day award cycle or something completely whacked.


It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

I had to let my account lapse for a few days after my three months was up, and I seemed to get the points at the same time as I renewed, which was a pleasant surprise. The two times before that it was... some few days. So that part is nice. The transfer tokens do seem to show up on the first of each month... the reward token... some time late in each month.

I appreciate the apparent fixing of the PP stipend, Black Pebble, though I still find it troubling that support doesn't seem to know what players are talking about when they report this issue. Why is there such a huge disconnect between what you and they know? There seems to be a communication breakdown somewhere.

And I still want to know what is being done about the two tokens. Those should be rewarded at the start of the month as well: there is no reason for them to come in at later dates, and it's quite confusing for them to do so. I have a better idea of what's going on as a forumite and I still find it frustrating. If I didn't much read the forums (like I didn't for my first NINE months as a player), I might have given up on the game and NCSoft for not caring (and it still can come across that way as a forumite). That's a big issue.

Please, get this working and get the communication line issues fixed (as best you can, I understand human error)! We and you don't want this detracting from the game anymore!

I cancel and resubscribe each month, since I sometimes let my account lapse for a day or two before resubscribing. This month (as usual), I didn't receive my points with my subscription. Due to this post, I sent in a ticket. I just received a reply directing me to this Knowledge Base article (which is older than your post), and told that I won't get my points until the 13th, and to resubmit a ticket if I don't get them then.

So which is it? Do I get my points when I resubscribe, or do they still show up whenever the heck they feel like it?

After the post by BP, I sent in a ticket and got a response saying that his post didn't mean what I thought it did. My bill date is the 15th, I get the points over 10 days later.

So, yeah.

Did you follow this up at all? Because that comment from CS is bull... he said it should be awarded on your bill date. There is no other interpretation of those words at all.

Please, Black Pebble, please get CS to work right with you guys on this.

Digging through the many pages of this topic has made my head hurt and I'm still unclear on my situation

I just upgraded to VIP, today (6/28/2012) by using a 30 day time card. Will I be getting 400 points and if so, when?

basically if you use a time card they don't care about you and you will get it up to a week or two later. At least that's pretty much what they told me. People who pay with a Credit Card (and let it go automatically) get them roughly on time, the rest have to wait. And none of us get token badges beyond day one of freedumb.

I actually have a different "problem" regarding reward tokens. I purchased points on 6/8, got a token, My Renewal was 6/9, got a token around 6/13, which I thought was my monthly Token, 6/20 Purchased points, got a token, then I got a Token around 6/23, how did I get an extra token. Not that I'm complaining

Amusingly, I actually don't want it fixed. My two accounts don't have the same billing date, but they both get their tokens at once -- which is fine by me.

How many points did you purchase? You get a token for your first purchase and then for every 1200 points purchased cumulatively.

each of the points purchases were $15, and my first purchase was back in September, the tokens were on different dates so that would negate the cumulative thing.
