Afaict, vet badges should be awarded on the date when they are earned.
But I don't know if this is one of the "issues" that GF is circuitously alluding to in his earlier post where he encourages us to file more petitions.

The awarding of the badges worked for Freedom launch, but broke the same time. However, they have a large list of things that have "greater priority" over these badges.
So yeah, maybe if we all sent petitions about not getting the badges we might get the priority raised.

It sincerely appears that there are severe disconnects within NCsoft. There apparently isn't much communication between the front line customer service staff and the people who are actually in a position to fix the problems (or possibly the ones creating the problems with kludgy programming). The cookie cutter CSR responses are ridiculously insulting and quite often don't address the problem or question, or they contradict each other. Quite frankly, I'm baffled with all the bull.

But at the point where you are already ponying up $28 million, does another $4 million actually matter that much?
Regardless, they've lost a lot of money. It wouldn't be too surprising to me if CS amounted to one part-time intern at this point. *shrug*
I sat down yesterday to tried and work out the history of my two accounts to see what my current number of tokens and pp should be. It is an almost impossible task without a full micro transaction history. I wish it was more like most other companies where you get an email copy of every purchase when you make it.
But anyway, the best figures I could work out (based on memory of what's been purchased etc) was that one account had exactly the right amount of PP, while the other seem to be missing around 1000pp (maybe it was some impulse buys that I've forgotten about). For the tokens I fairly sure one of my accounts is missing four, however my other account seems to have four more then it should, so I won't complain
The main thing that Ive noticed is that the date my pp gets awarded seems to be pushed back a week every month. It use to be right a start of the month, then got pushed back each month until the last was received yesterday (last day of the month). Doesnt that in affect mean that Im missing out on almost a full months of points? It definitely will be if next month the date is pushed back another week.

What particularly bugs me about this is that there would not be such a long hold up if they had actual issues getting money from people. Since it's a reward, it doesn't seem to merit importance. Even if that's not the intent, that's the impression I've gotten from the start from the response to it.I find it particularly disturbing that the NCSoft customer support team and our community mods are so at odds over this in how things are supposed to work. Back in the fall when I was wondering what was happening with my points, CS told me at first that I wasn't supposed to get them until the end of the month of my purchase, even though that was at odds with what Zwill was telling us. I told them that, and then suddenly I was correct, but it took a few back and forth exchanges to find out what was going on.
They really need to be clear on how this is currently working and what is intended and get the kinks out now. This isn't like a minor costume glitch or something in game.

Well it didn't get done this week cause of all the title changes and self patting on the back. Next week new issue hits so no fix then. The following week they will be to busy with game breaking bugs from the issue roll out to deal with the points and tokens. Over the x2 xp weekend there will be some exploit from the issue that will be found and a quick patch will go out. So maybe the last week of the month they might look into the mess. Unless of course there's an article on some MMORPG website about the new issue and Statesman's death. Then push back the fix for the reward points til middle of the following month.
It 's the 4th and I just checked at 8:25 and my points are there. Finally on time but sadly I don't know if this a fluke or the new status quo.
It's still goofy. I didn't even get my transfer on the 1st like I used to... not sure what that even means. Reward token is late in the month, but I forgot to keep track of the date I got it last month, so I'm not sure if it's about the same or not.

I have to file a petition every month to get mine. Every month it initially shows somewhere in their system that I received mine---until they actually LOOK and see. Usually only takes 2 emails after the petition and max of a few hours.

So the missus is nearing (or already had) her anniversary in the game. The only thing she didn't seem to receive was the badge, which is not surprising based on what we've been told.
For those keeping track at home, her global unlock slot came about six weeks early. Her yearly reward token was just about on time.

The entire point of microtransaction systems in MMO games is to make the player spend money. That goal is much easier if the player doesn't receive a stipend, like VIPs do in CoH. But when the player does receive a monthly stipend, the best strategy is for it to arrive at random times. That way the player never knows when they are going to be able to afford the microtransaction they have in mind, so they resort to the 'buy' button.
Multiple currencies exist in order to confuse players and make them spend money. Monthly stipends are delayed and randomized in order to confuse players and make them spend money. Microtransaction systems are designed with these tricks in order to make the players spend money. They want the players to be confused and cut off from communication with the devs because it makes you spend money.
This is the new City of Heroes. Get used to it.

Before telling us to file a /petition if it's not working correctly, you could tell us how it's supposed to be working.
I don't know what's the new normal and what's broken.
It doesn't match what I remember being told.
But the company changes the agreement between us at whim.
So it's necessary to find out if a new agreement that matches the reality of the situation has been dictated to us, or if the old agreement is just not being honored.
