With the New Freedom Update will long standing issues finally get addressed?
Gonna go ahead and guess "no".

Yeah true enough you can drag this stuff in your tray but new people might not figure this out.

It's pretty obvious that Inspirations brings up your inspiration trays and Enhancements brings up your enhancement trays. Anyone who has ever played a videoi game in their life is going to eventually figure that looking in the tab called "Powers" would be a good place to start to find powers they expect they should have.
I think you dramatically underestimate the average gamer's ability to figure things out.

I find it hard to believe that someone would never get curious about what the tab called "Powers" on their window does. And that they would never figure out that they can drag powers from that window to their tray. They'd probably figure out they can drag powers around the tray by accident like I did at the very least. It's not a huge leap of logic to determine that you can drag power icons from other places as well.

Don't know what game you're playing, but the Rest power shows up in my tray when I train up to level 2.
Ninja Run and Beast Run come from booster packs, that could explain why they do not show up. Walk does not show up either and it's a new game "power" available to everyone at level 2.
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end

-- The Fox and the Hound
It doesn't show up in mine and hasn't for quite some time. I often forget about putting it there until level 10 or higher. I swear there was a time when it *did* show up.

There was. It did that at least as recently as when I first started playing. If it hadn't I'm sure it would have taken me a long time to find out about it.
Just made a new toon yesterday and I can say that the 'rest' is not automatically being placed in the bar at lvl 2! I do remember it doing so though. If not for any power.... at least have this happen again with 'Rest'.
Also.. Steampunk Shirts are completely broken.
- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!
Always remember, we were Heroes.
One other thing I'll point out... you know the trainers you go to talk to? They do have actual dialogue in those windows that pop up when you click on them. In the one you get before training to level 2, it specifically says you get Rest, Walk and the fitness powers that level. You know, if you stopped to read it rather than just clicking the button at the button. The information is there, it's not really the game's fault if people don't read it is it?
Likewise, I could be misremembering but I think the powers window is shown in the tutorial at some point or other.

I really have no idea what causes this bug. It always struck me as a really weird one though.
@Roderick
Rest is automatically placed in your tab.
For about a split second. Then it vanishes. I've watched it happen on every character I've created since that bug came in, and it's high time it got fixed.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Its weird that all my costume temp powers are automatically put in my tray and yet the starting origin temp upon character first entering the world and Rest at level 2 aren't.

The one "longstanding issue" I'd like to see addressed is a means at level 50 of doing mayhem or safeguard missions from other outleveled brackets. Require me to first complete a level 46-50 mission, but at a certain point, please give me a selection menu to say do the Atlas or Kings Row missions, etc.
And level cap me as well for those lowbie missions. Fine. But make them more available to players than they are currently.
Can we please fix the "disappearing health bar" bug? It's fairly new, but it's REALLY bothersome.
How are steampunk shirts broken now?
It is an inconvenient bug, but it does force me to actually look at my powers tab. I then see all the lovely vet and booster shinys an go "Oooooh, yummy!" The Nemesis Staff/Blackwand and Sands of Mu really are a boon to lowbie trollers.

Years ago many people started calling the game City of Bugs because there were just so many bugs that never seemed to get fixed. Now the game is starting to develop another list of them. No, they're mostly aren't serious problems (the missing health bar is a serious issues), but it is reasonable to ask if they're going to get fixed.
"But in our enthusiasm, we could not resist a radical overhaul of the system, in which all of its major weaknesses have been exposed, analyzed, and replaced with new weaknesses."
-- Bruce Leverett, Register Allocation in Optimizing Compilers
I think the reason you're not going to see any of what you've listed fixed is because they're less "issues" and more "annoyances."
Issues lean toward making the game, or specific feature, unusable, or at least not worth the trouble to overcome for the majority of the playerbase. They don't have kludges or shortcuts around them.
Annoyances are apparent, but they can easily be dealt with or avoided, like making sure to drop Rest into your tray manually.
You might consider those things more than just annoyances, but it's pretty obvious that the Devs don't, or more of them would be fixed by now.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

So how about the bug where people on my team perpetually display as in another zoning in so I can never see their health bars in my team window and I can't see them on my map so if my team-mate gets separated or killed I'll never know about it? Does that count as a bug?
|
Did a zone race yesterday and its quite hard to tell who is where and in the lead when they wont show up on the map.

You realize how annoying it would be if all the powers from all the packs immediately entered your tray at the appropriate levels? For someone like me that owns most of the packs, that would be a lot of tedium every time I make a character. First off, the powers will appear wherever they fit, and I have to move them. Second, I may not want to use them all.
Self Destruct always appears on my power bar the moment my new character enters tutorial, right where I usually put my primary attack. You know how many times I have accidentally blown myself up?
For example, the Bustier. If you're making a female toon, just choose the "Eden" skin top option and then choose Bustier in Chest details, and it will be visible. Or you can mix and match it with whatever shirt you want.

Just wanting to know if long standing issues will finally get looked at? I mean seriously one big glaring issue is how on every single new character I create the rest power, the ninja and beast run powers do not appear in my tray when I acquire them. For a new person coming in they might get frustrated thinking there is no rest ability like they have in the other MMOs or they might think when they bought the ninja and beast run powers that they got ripped off and do not see them. Yeah true enough you can drag this stuff in your tray but new people might not figure this out. Also just think of all the other long standing bugs like how with the LGTF the last mission map has huge holes in it in the final room and never displays correctly. These are just a few things that need looking at that have been bugged and nothing has been done about them.
