It'll be nice if they hand me a year's worth of tokens all at once, but from what's been said it doesn't seem that's the case. It sounds like people with multi-month subscriptions will still get them one at a time, on what would be our monthly "billing date" if we were still month-to-month...

The Paragon Points, on the other hand, may all show up at once. There have been statements made at various times that make it sound like it could go either way with them. I haven't seen anything that suggests we'll get all the vet-replacements in one lump sum for pre-paid time, though.

It would be nice, yeah... I want those wings ... But I really don't think it's going to work that way.

Actually, it's the other way around. Points are doled out per month, even if you purchased in advanced.

But Zwillinger specifically said that if you, for example, paid for 3 months, then 3 Tokens would be granted all at once.

What is unknown is for those who've already purchased in advanced if those associated Tokens will come all out once or be doled out once per month.

But you can add an extra year's purchase to your recurring subscription *now* (well, after FREEDOM goes live) and get 12 Tokens immediately. That will just push off your auto-renewal to a year later.

I swear there's a post in one of the early Freedom threads stating that multi-month subscriptions were likely to get the stipend points all at once (I want to say it was either a Z- or Posi-post, but I'm not sure about that and could well be misremembering who said it-), though a lot of other, general thread discussion has made it sound month-to-month since then.

I haven't seen anything that suggested the tokens would be given out all at once. The last time it was even mentioned as a possibility, people shot the idea down pretty quickly with reminders that the current Vet system doesn't work that way. (After all, I'd have my 60 month now if it did, rather than just the 48...)

In particular, it looks like something that could be seen in Marvel's Fear Itself. Oh, wait, you were trying for sarcasm, weren't you?

It's not that I'm doubting you, because I do recall hearing something to that effect as well, but do you by any chance have a citation or time-stamp you can point us to for confirmation? Part of the reason I ask is that someone I talked to thought they recalled that the person who had said that had later corrected himself. If I remember the conversation correctly it was they thought Zwillinger was the person who told us & later corrected himself in a Ustream broadcast.

I'm hoping we can get this piece of information nailed down as it would provide those concerned about missing out on the tier 9 VIP rewards a different avenue to acquire their desired reward. (Assuming they're close enough that these 3, 6, or 12 reward token lump sums would allow them to claim the Celestial costume set.)

Heh, that was actually my first thought seeing the mace. Very nice use of design time, two weapons for one design.

I suppose some will like it, but I like my maces to be maces. I was kind of sad that it seemed like they combined the two. But it's a new mace and axe option, so I will take it.

Zombie, it's nice to know that we'll get the rewards all at once, but buying a year ahead of time isn't really an option for me, nor for other people (or so I would imagine). Good on you if it is, but I wouldn't call it an easy option for everyone.

Thanks for posting that quote. It makes me much more comfortable that I'll be able to unlock all possible costume sets as I am willing to re-sub for two years after Freedom is released.

Ha, way back when Weapons Customization was in Beta there was a bug where you'd end up with two weapons at the same time overlaid on each other. I said at the time that I thought that some like mace + axe actually looked cool that way; now I can get one!
