Thing is, you're in this thread, that's about not that, talking about that. That's a kind of "Enough about your stuff, let's talk about mine!" if you're coming in a place where everyone is going on about one thing to talk about your own personal desires, it's going to chafe. This isn't a thread to request more tights patterns, if you want to do that, no one is stopping you from doing so and if someone came in to say something against it you could debate them as we're doing you here/

I could honestly care less about this armor, maybe the wings, maybe some of the weapons, but this armor is completely neutral for me. That said, I'm all in favor of lots more no-tights related options in-game since even when I give my characters tight clothes I generally give them tight clothes.

I do think that like most things, ADF, Defense, and probably this armor too will have a tights option and an accompanying pattern. as have most things in this game since launch. (Sport, Alpha, Omega, Overguard,)

It's not, and should be done, but it should be done for everything in general and not just tights.

So far we've seen three costume sets, Celstial Armor, IDF, And Defense, Defense is amost exclusively tights, IDF is Tights and Some Armor bits, and Celestial looks to have a tight under-pattern as well. You're not really "Left out"

Um, I'm not requesting anything in this thread. People are saying they love the new armor, some of us are saying it doesn't look superhero-y. Shade comes in saying "Oh I guess we'll have to get rid of all this other stuff to make the game feel 'right' to all the haters" and I clarified that I was not calling for the deletion of any options, just the addition of more stuff that is not glowy armor to counteract it. It wasn't a request, it was a clarification.

And don't tell me "They'll probably be adding tights patterns for the new armor." I heard you the first time, no need to repeat yourself.

Yeah, the IDF and Defense sets probably will have an accompanying pattern. I doubt this armor will. It looks a lot like Ascension Radiance set and the Resistance armor, where the second color is the glow, not the pattern. This does not upset me, though I wouldn't say no if it had a tights pattern accompany it.

This thread was about the Celestial armor, which is the main thing my arguments have revolved around. I am well aware of the IDF and Defense sets.

One of the core values underpining COH is customization, and we always strive to give you guys new options as often as possible--to put more toys in the toybox, as it were. So while we'll never forget about traditional tights and cape options, we definitely want to enable players to create whatever their imaginations can conjure up. Maybe you'd like to create a Western-, Scifi-, Fantasy-, Steampunk-, Pirate-, or Barbarian- themed superhero? Our goal is to cover ALL the possibilities as fully as possible.

Comic characters come in all sorts of genre flavors after all (look at Jonah Hex, Thor, Conan, Lady Mechanika, Swamp Thing, etc.), and we love the notion of a COH universe where literally anything is possible.

Fans looking for new tights options might want to check out the upcoming Defender, CoT, and Celestial sets. All of these offer a fairly plain 'underlayer' for you to build on and that should mix and match more easily with other sets.

I agree I would like to see a few new tights options, the couple I would like to see the most are:

1.) 50/50 1st Half one Color other Half 2nd Color (Mask, Chest, Gloves, Pants, Boots)
2.) Left and Right - Single & Double Off Center Pin Stripe (Chest, Pants, Boots)
a.) I know that's more like 4 options (Left Double Pin, Left Single Pin, Right Double Pin, Right Single Pin) The possibilities for different pin stripe options could be quite vast, as I can think of several off the top of my head. (Lightning, Flames, Circuitry, Shred, Dotted, Dashes, Tribal, & Celtic)

Lastly it would be nice if we could choose to have the chest detail smaller and on one side of the chest or the other. Kinda like how Jackets have it, only upgraded with an option to be on left or right side.

I played champions for a bit and I liked those options quite a bit. It was surprising how often I used them.

This, to me, is the winning attitude. Freedom of expression is a gift we here in City of Heroes often take for granted, especially in regards to topics of interest we don't particularly enjoy. The machine would take what's in their mind and compose it into a completed end product. I forget which episode that's from, or even which series, but this is kind of how I see City of Heroes. All you need to do is bring the imagination. The game will handle most everything else. So even if you can't draw, colour, animate or write, that's OK. You can still play the game and make amazing characters.

And that is priceless.

There was a thread already about some magazine, wherein it was revealed that CoT pieces were coming. I'm attempting to find the thread now.

It was in the latest issue of PC Gamer. There was a sidebar that had examples of what will be in the cash shop. This included: a rocket board travel power, Circle of Thorns costume (new design - had concept art that looked cool), gunslinger costume, signature arcs (which will be free to VIPs), and Titan Weapons.

I think David is safe from the wrath of Marketing... for now...

It's from TNG, incidently, and features Riker prominently, but I couldn't say what season.

"When The Bough Breaks", maybe?

IIRC there were several pretty cool "toys" in that episode aside from the musical one. I remember a sculptor's tool that worked in a similar fashion.

To be honest, it'd be nice if we could see Chest Detail icons on Jackets and such at all. Not only are many difficult to see even in the costume creator, but they also have a bad habit of clipping through the jacket/robe itself.
