  1. G110 keyboard and a Razer Naga for my mouse. I LOVE the Naga.
  2. So far, I like what I see and just have one request. Can we please have an option for the belt without the hammer and the rope? I love utility belts and have many characters that use them, but having the hammer and, to a lesser extent, the rope limits the concepts that the belt will work with. If possible, I would also make the same request for the night stick on the police belt.

    I work in a print shop. I ALWAYS think about paper stock.

    On topic, I have a couple EM characters and I definitely agree that something needs to be done about the animation times. It is like Dragon Ball Z taking several episodes for a single attack to charge up. On the other hand, I think it does have a satisfying thwack! when it (eventually) hits.

    Here is my idea to improve EM. All of the long animating attacks will apply a sleep immediately once the power is clicked. That way it is simulating the target falling asleep waiting for you to finish your attack.

    It was in the latest issue of PC Gamer. There was a sidebar that had examples of what will be in the cash shop. This included: a rocket board travel power, Circle of Thorns costume (new design - had concept art that looked cool), gunslinger costume, signature arcs (which will be free to VIPs), and Titan Weapons.

    I think David is safe from the wrath of Marketing... for now...

  10. I agree completely. Unfortunately, this stalker is her favorite character and she wants to dump the resources into it.
  11. Her current build performs well. She wants a uberbuild (or as uber as possible for DB/SR). Cost is not really an issue.

    I have a lvl 50 KM/SD who was on his way to becoming my new main. I found the combo to work rather well together and the damage output was rather nice. He got knocked out of the running for my new main by my KM/DA. KM/DA may not have the burst damage of KM/SD, but it has a very full toolbox with many layers of defense. It was costly to get it end sustainable, but worth it. Also, PS + damage aura can be quite nice.

  17. So after some thought, I decided to go for defense with some regen thrown in for good measure. If I understand Mids correctly, I should be well over the defense soft cap for typed damage with 2 enemies in range of invincible. I threw this together in less than 10 minutes, so I might have missed a few things. Any suggestions?

  18. Thanks for the info. I looked over CMA's guides before I created this thread and found them helpful, but like you said there are still a lot of options. I was hoping to get various opinions about how to handle this particular combo so that I can pick a direction. I definitely like the sound of being scrapper-like. 3 out of my 6 level 50s are scrappers.

  19. I have tried to start up several tanks that never really got off the ground. I recently decided to try again with a Inv/Energy and I am liking him so far. The problem is that all I have no experience with either of these power sets and therefore have no idea on what I should focus as far as the build goes. Once I know of a direction I am pretty good at putting together a build, so I don't particularly need sample builds (but I certainly won't shun you if you post one :P ). I am mostly going to be duoing with my wife's DP/MM blaster. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  20. Good call on the CoF slotting. Selling back those Kinetic Combats will help me get the rest of the LotG enhancements. As far as the slotting for Burst, I am torn. Slotting according to your suggestion will provide more rounded defenses, but I love the bonuses from Obliteration and will find them hard to give up.
  21. Hey all, here is the build for my KM/DA scrapper. The build is just a couple of the LotG enhancements away from being complete. It is working well for me and is endurance sustainable as long as I remember to use conserve power during long fights. I currently am using the Rare Cardiac Alpha enhancement. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can squeeze out some more performance? Thanks.

    W: Generally assigned to US broadcast stations east of the Mississippi River. I also looked up a radio station in Bermuda (close to where the Rogue Isles are supposed to be) and it also starts with a W.

    SPDR: Short for "spider". Given that Arachnos runs the place, it fits the theme.

  23. I worked on a few characters during the double xp weekend:

    MA/FA Scrapper - level 1 to 10 - Seems like it is going to be a fun combo
    EC/Kin Troller - level 1 to 9 - Made to test the effectiveness of a sapper. We shall see...
    EC/Storm - level 12 to 20 - I have been having a blast with this combo.
    MA/SR Scrapper - level 40 to 42 - I am really liking the MA changes.

    On a semi-related note, I ended up shelving my DM/SD scrapper in favor of a KM/DA scrapper and a KM/SD scrapper. I am really a big fan of KM. My KM/SD scrapper can dish out a TON of damage. Fully saturated AAO + full SP + CS = Huge orange number that will just bring a tear to your eye. While my KM/SD is a damage monster, I think I actually prefer my KM/DA. He is just a few LotG +recharges away from having a complete build and he is very survivable. He has solid resistances, soft-capped S/L defenses, positional defenses around 30ish, a fear aura, a stun aura, a self rez that stuns everyone around you, and a self heal that fills up my green bar with just 2 or 3 enemies in range. All of that adds up to insane survivability. While not as good at the massive orange numbers as my KM/SD, he still handles groups like a champ. SP and damage auras are a very good thing.

    Finally...

    I finally did it! I soloed a pylon on my KM/DA scrapper without any temporary powers or inspirations. It took me a while (~15 minutes) partially because of lag spikes and getting knocked back (only 8 points KB protection). I am not concerned right now with my time. I consider the endeavor a great success for one main reason: it proved that my build is endurance sustainable. At the end of the 15 minutes I had a full blue bar. I have a few more things to tweak on my build, but I am very satisfied so far.
