Looks nice, but I would love it if they would put some design effort into more patterns for spandex/tights costumes. Just done with the flashy armor.

Is it just me, or are the "energy wings" auras a little low-res?
Anyway, I like the wings and the costume set so far. It's a bit... Odd, in the same way as Ascension was, in that it feels like it comes from a different game, but if I don't have to be level 50 to use it, that just means the breadth and depth of new character designs I can make has expanded, and significantly.
Pretty much everything I hear about what's coming is "all good stuff."

They do look a little low-res, but the fact that one more of the things that players have been asking for since the beginning is finally becoming a reality is awesome.
as for character designs, yeah deffinately expands the ideas. With the helmet and some of the other pieces, it means I can finally create my character Aingeal Tsolais. BS/Shield Brute. Just hopefully that Celestial Armor set has a Shield to go with it, or I'll be hardpressed to find one that fits the costume.
Well, you know what they say...
I must say, those energy wings may make me re-evaluate my shunning of wings due to bulkiness/etc.

And again, I'm not dising the wings. I love the things. They give me serious consideration as to whether I should keep the the Herald of Light using the current angelic wings he has, or whether I should swap him over to these energy wings. That hasn't happened before.

Heh, I just realized. creating really awesome costumes that only worked in certain zones would be a guaranteed way to get players into the zone. there are actually a lot of players for whom the costuming is the most important part.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
I love the look of those wings... But given their position on the grid and the fact that I've only been around for four years, it'll still be another year or two before I can use them.

Unfortunately i wasn't able to make it to SDCC this year, didn't have the funds, but a buddy of mine went and said that what he saw of the vids they have shown the wings look high-res when in motion, and that the animation is best described by taking a clear glass of water and puting in a few drops of food coloring. The motion of the food color is the best way to described the motion of the wings.
Personally I'll be using a 'firery' look, with the wings, to go with Aingeal when I make him. Also if you haven't checked it yet, here's the link for the i21 Convergence trailer.

Ok, this is BADA$$. I love the look of this costume set, it has a look that could be used for both Futuristic Armor, and for Magical Armor looks. Take a look if you haven't seen the Dev Screenshots already.
