WPSDR News(WSPDR? I've seen it spelled both ways), which Amanda Vines works for, stationed in Cap Au Diable.

What do the letters stand for(if anything)?

Was a random question I thought of while playing and I couldn't find anything on paragonwiki.

Edit: typo

Nothing, that I can think of, other than W+SPiDeR.

"Get it? 'Spider'! because... Arachnos!" said the dev who named it.

There's a "rule" about assigning radio radio call-signs that starts them with a W+three other letters, so they slapped that on the front of a near-spelling of the word spider (which you'll note is actually four letters). If I recall, W is used for any American station east of the Mississippi.

On an unrelated note, an arc I'm near completing has some tangential fun using WSPDR to write some five words sentences, such as "Writer Spreads Poison, Dear Reader!".

The call sign WSPDR can be broken down as follows:

W: Generally assigned to US broadcast stations east of the Mississippi River. I also looked up a radio station in Bermuda (close to where the Rogue Isles are supposed to be) and it also starts with a W.

SPDR: Short for "spider". Given that Arachnos runs the place, it fits the theme.

edit: I took too long to write this...
