Jason Todd has been alive since before Infinite Crisis (five or six yearss now). Superboy Primes punching of of he walls of reality brought him back.
Yes, that is the official reason. I'm not kidding you.

As bad as that sounds, I invite you to go here to find out the whole explaination found in Batman Annual #25.

I've been subjected to him for 18 weeks thus far reading DCUO: Legends. He is god awful and the art while tolerable from a aesthetic point of view it is bad for a linear art point of view and that could be due to the writer or artist...

Also... just about all western comic art is bad...they try to make them more anatomically correct and they almost all fail in one form or another. It's just a matter of how bad and to what extent... and let's be honest...badly drawn feet isn't really a major issue

Wihout quoting more pictures, I just going to say that I like the costume of Grifter and what we can see of Stormwatch. Even Martian Manhunter. Though why they consigned J'onn to Stormwatch, I don't know. And why DC though they needed to put in mainstream more violent versions of Superman and Batman with Apollo and Midnighter, I also don't know. My only real exposure to those characters comes from the Captain Atom Armageddon series. I was rather liked most of the characters there other than Apollo and Midnighter.

Also, we are supposed to believe from that cover that Superboy is an robot/android? It would kinda explain the "tattoo," and perhaps bring him back, to his days with Project Cadmus, but agian, that would negate years of character growth.

Also also, I like the look of Frankenstien, but that cover gives him a countenance much too reptilian in nature for my tastes.

Harley Quinn, love her outfit, but it doesn't seem like the Harley Quinn I love.
Well, one of the DC guys said he never wants to see Supergirl's panties again, iirc. The cynic in me says, "Well, she could always go commando then...". Or maybe teach your artists how to draw scenes such that she isn't flashing the viewer. It might also be a way of moving away from the rather too-skinny look that she's had for a while.

Harley looks more like Arkham Asylum Harley than anything else.

But flashing the viewer is the way the brought in the 12-18 year old audience! And going commando isn't going to happen in any official DC comic. Use google for that if you want.

Hey, if they aren't CCA approved anymore, anything can happen...

Well... it looks like DC has decided to go back to the XTREME '90s.

I liked the current version of Supergirl! When I could hit the comic store all the time, I picked up Supergirl because I liked that version of Supergirl. *sigh*

Cause it isn't.

What made Harley great was that she was such a great mess of contradictions. Ditzy and intelligent, psychotic and adorable... oh, and she was sexy without prancing around in her underwear. Sure, she still had the skintight suit, but it was still pretty modest by comic book standards.

Now we get a Harley wearing an idiotic outfit worthy of the White Queen. And, judging by the cover image, will probably be your standard, one-note psycho. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they ditched the psychiatrist background and said she was a junkie raver.

I try to be positive, I really do. I'm almost always the one saying "wait and see", "give it a chance", but this.... I just can't be optimistic about this.

I liked her too, but even I could admit that at times she looked rather...waifish..

Thank you for that link. From it we get to see other covers such as

Wonder Woman

Captain Atom

Firestorm

Hawkman

Justice League International

So, we can see that Wonder Woman's leggings are black (ugh).

Firestorm is a combination of Jason and Ronnie. Ineresting how they are both dressed on the cover. I wonder if it is a 'visual reference' for to know who is in "control'. Also makes me wonde what's going on with the Firestorm in the back.

Hawkman is tweaked. More armor, and what looks like organic/bone weapons. (no Nth metal?)

So JLI is Rocket Red (dunno which one), Guy Gardner, Ice, Fire, Booster Gold, August General in Iron (Chinese superhero from the Great Ten), Vixen and what could be Donna Troy. August General, Guy, and Vixen look to have no changes to their uniforms. Can't tell with Fire, as she's - well - on/made of fire. Small tweaks to Booster's and Rocket Red's costumes. If that IS Donna, it's a totally new costume for her.

And finally, not sure what to think of Captain Atom's 'quantum fire hair' but it looks wierd. Wish we could get more of a full body shot of him.

All in all, very intersesting.

Firestorm came out when I was in in 8th grade or a high school freshman, and I thought he was the coolest thing ever back then. I had no idea there was another one. Or that they were life partners.

Why is there a movie X-Man on the Justice League?

?!?!

Maybe it's just me to which this statement makes no sense.....I was born in 1984, and DC Comics existed when my late grandparents were children. I had no problem jumping into DC or Marvel, despite decades of backlog and continuity.

If people weren't buying comics before this, even if they know who Batman and Superman are, what is going to make them start now?
I agree. And if "not issue #1" is going to be a locked gate to new readers, what makes them think that #9 is going to be any less of a disincentive than #900? In two or three years they're going to have the same problem anyway.

I see this as a great moment to stop buying new comics and buy more back issues instead.

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

At this point im settling in to wait n see mode. The sales people for DC will be holding a Q&A for retailers pretty soon, so im going to wait until i hear what comes out of that.

It occurs to me that we have not yet seen a picture of the new Power Girl.
