DC Relaunching Everything in the Fall?
The one thing I will admit that I truly (overall) like is (Red) Robin's new costume (a bit too many Cable-esque pads/bandoleers/arm bands, etc on, but that's Liefeld...).
Not sure of Kid Flash's look. Not liking it; not hating it. The rest of the team...*headdesk* |
Liefeld is doing a DC book, but it ain't the Titans. It's Hawk & Dove.
Bret Booth & Norm Rapmund have the Art duties on Titans.
As to overall looks, they seem to be ok, but yesh...
Thank you for the time...
I'm rather liking Tim's new costume as well. Or at least the idea behind it. I think it's just a bit too busy with all the strappings and pads and stuff. Trim some of that back and it'll be pretty good.
Kid Flash's suit... is a mess. At least now we can see that those aren't big ol' red eyebrows, but actually part of the cowl that just looks like big ol' red eyebrows. That's also a very odd cut to the cowl, just looks weird in the second image. Really though, like Tim's, this costume is just way too busy. Keep the lightning motif trims, but lose the "ringer" bolts at the waist and forearms. And do something with that rather derpy cowl. It's like taking all the worst aspects of cowls and boiling them down into one really bad iteration. And finally, if that is supposed to be Bart as they've said, well, BART IS NOT A REDHEAD.
Superboy's non-costume continues to evolve into something completely unrelated to both Superman and superheroics. I disliked the T-shirt and jeans combo when it first came out... and this is looking even worse. Why couldn't the return of his awesome second costume be done here instead of this rather uninspired dreck?
Wondergirl's isn't too bad. It's combining the looks of a couple of previous WG suits and still adding its own flair to them. Not really digging the scarf bit though. Just looks out of place.
And I have no idea who Smog Lass, Spider Girl or Fist Person Thing are. Does anyone know?
Head of TRICK, the all Trick Arrow and Traps SG
Part of the Repeat Offenders
Still waiting for his Official BackAlleyBrawler No-Prize
Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.
good luck D.B.B.
random thoughts of the day...
could the use of the high collars in the majority of the designs be a defense against the new vampires of the DCnu?
Also, does it bother anyone else that the picture of the Dcnu Frankenstein makes me think of a cheap copy of Hellboy?
The cover pic of Batgirl, It seems to me show a metallic shine to most everything from the neck down, except the gloves, which have what looks like extreme grip design for rope line swinging and climbing..could the reason she is moble be that she is wearing a ironman type suit, and thus could still be wheelchair bound? That could explain the large smile on her face, the freedom of motion..
210 50s and still counting!
Whoa there Major....

Still not liking most of the characters and costumes (or lack thereof *cough* Superboy *cough*) I'm seeing them in, but,...I guess we'll see where this goes.
Thanks for the correction!
Blame all the bad costume decisions on Jim Lee as he's apparently the one that redesigned them all
Tim's costume has me torn... I like it, but he chose that costume, name for a reason, and he chose the full cowl for a reason and with switching the costume it makes the journey lose meaning. However I do like the costume and shows an evolution in his costume design.
The smoggy girl character in the titan's pic could be Secret for Young Justice
Wonder Girl's costume looks like a gypsy costume, meh.
If Barbara Gordon takes back over the mantle of Batgirl because she can walk now...I'd be pissed. She stopped being Batgirl before she was shot and it would be wrong to just take it from Stephenie...which implies either the writers don't those stories and/or Something bad is going to happen to Ms. Brown...again.
Kid Flash's suit... is a mess. And finally, if that is supposed to be Bart as they've said, well, BART IS NOT A REDHEAD.

You mean this costume?
Think I would have preferred it without the red above the shield, but it still looks good

So that's two without pants.
Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."
Harley is far more appealing as the incredibly smart yet ditz with a psychopathic obsession with the Joker that makes her due sick things to impress him, but in general is a good person at heart.
To make her "just a psycho" is just a total disservice and throws out her base character in effect making her some other character.
Its not easy being Jaime Reyes. He has to deal with high school, family and all the drama that comes with being a teenager. Also, hes linked to a powerful scarab created by an alien race who seek to subjugate planets or annihilate them. Its up to one teen hero to turn this instrument of destruction into a force for good in BLUE BEETLE #1, written by Tony Bedard (GREEN LANTERN CORPS) and illustrated by Ig Guara (FLASHPOINT: GRODD OF WAR) and Ruy Jose. |

Ya know what this reboot is starting to look like?

So...ok, I'd forgotten the Wildstorm was part of DC, but what happened to the original Image lineup of STORMWATCH, and the rest of the WildCATS, for that matter?

"So come and get me! I'll be waiting for ye, with a whiff of the old brimstone. I'm a grim bloody fable, with an unhappy bloody end!" Demoman, TF2
Couldn't they keep the old look of Supergirl while giving her the new costume (which just seems like a reason to say "look no pantie shots")?
Grifter is looking good.
Red Robin, I'll say it again, I personally love the outfit.
Harley Quinn, love her outfit, but it doesn't seem like the Harley Quinn I love.
That said, maybe this reboot will get me back into DC again.
