I tend to think that Bleeding Cool got it wrong. And still no news on Tim Drake/Red Robin.

Oh, and do you think you could change your text color there? Kinda hard to read

I'd say Bleeding Cool got it wrong.
From the IGN article on Nightwing:

Quote:
Dick isn't the only former Robin to be returning to the big time though, as the one and only Jason Todd gets an ongoing title of his own. Red Hood and the Outlaws #1 will be written by Scott Lobdell and drawn by relative newcomer Kenneth Rocafort. In it, Jason Todd finds himself as a leader of a team of antiheroes – including "Green Arrow's rejected sidekick Arsenal and Starfire, a former prisoner of intergalactic war."
"He's proven to be such a popular character over the last several years with our DVD and also the recent limited series," Marts said of Jason Todd. "The success of those stories helped in earning him his own new title and we're lucky to have Scott Lobdell writing that storyline and Kenneth Rocafort on art, who is a great new talent that we've brought into the DC fold. Jason Todd's group will have several different exciting characters from the DC Universe – some we've seen before and some we haven't."
Thank you for the time...

I think we can add to that list a few titles:
Demon Knights #!
Voodoo #1
Resurrection Man #1
Justice League Dark #1

And possibly: I Vampire #1 and Frankenstein: Agent Of SHADE #1

Bleeding Cool has updated their list List.
Red Robin and the Outlaws has been corrected to Red Hood and the Outlaws, Adventure Comics is now DC Universe Presents. Some of the writers have been crossed out, and the whole list has a snazzy color coding. Red is still a Bleeding Cool rumour. Green is a confirmed Bleeding Cool rumour. Blue is a CBR rumour. Black is a straight confirmation.
Those six comics I listed above? They are on the list now, with all but Justice League Dark as confirmed. JLD is listed as a ‘confirmed Bleeding Cool rumor’.

Still six series to go. I’m not seeing a Booster Gold series listed yet. And I really hope they throw me a bone and gimme a Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes series. And I wouldn’t mind a Mark Shaw or Kate Spencer Manhunter series again, either.

Yeah, looks like it is Red Hood and the Outlaws.

I.....have a sinking feeling that there will be a big announcement regarding Watchmen by Johns / Lee this weekend.

Also, interesting to see the Wildstorm universe folded back into the line.

I'm hoping this means they undo the last 5 years or so of Superwimp and bring back Superman.

I rue what they have done with him since they disavowed the John Byrne version . (even though Byrne weakened him a bit too much imho.)

Whenever you hear a writer interviewed about what they think about Superman they talk about his values etc etc snore snore.

To me, the whole key to Superman is that he is THE greatest and most powerful superhero of them all. (barring the cosmic types like the Spectre.)

Don't get into a flap. It's only my opinion and I'm thick

I think a lot of people just don't know what to do with Superman. Even here in the forums, I find it odd that people will often complain that he is "way too powerful! He's so strong it's boring!" Then, a short time later, they'll talk about some other hero and say "he's so awesome! He's even stronger than Superman!"

I agree with your last line though. I think Superman is the hero you want saving you when it all hits the fan. He should be the most powerful, most capable of them all.

Absolutely. Hearing that the Martian Manhunter, wonder woman and god knows who else is as strong as superman winds me up a bit because Superman is supposed to be the most powerful hero. It's in the name.
If you take that away from him he loses something. And I think it's that something that he HAS lost. By putting him on a world where everyone is as strong as him (new krypton), by stating that so many other heroes are nearly or as (or more) powerful as he is he has lost that something that gave him his gravitas.

The irony is that I consider Supermans golden era to be the Byrne period, when he was portrayed at his weakest. But somehow, the edge that Byrne gave Superman and the stories he put out kept Superman on the top of the league.
Just shows you what a difference someone who understands the character and knows what they are doing can make.

The dramatic tension in a good Superman story is not whether he'll survive. Of course he'll survive. The question is whether or not he'll be able to save everyone else.

Sadly, Hollywood never clued into that, and now it seems that DC has forgotten it as well.

Could blame the Superman movies. The whole going back in time thing might have ruined it for some people on that.

Not only will he survive, but if he can't save everyone, he can try again!

Look at Hawk's chest. It's approximately three times as wide as it is tall.

Liefeld occasionally produces stupendous art, but most of the time he just sucks at proportions and posing. On top of that he has a reputation for missing deadlines and being a diva. How does someone like that keep getting jobs at the top of the industry? Sigh.

Because most art in the western comic industry sucks... Really he's not as bad as people make him out to be when compared to other western comic artists.

That is a far uglier Red Robin costume than the one he has currently.

According to the synopsis on the link, Wondergirl is a thief. Or something...

I was wondering why she looked like the love-child of Donna Troi and Arrowette...

And wth is that spidery witchblade reject looking thing in the bottom left? Cyborg? A mess I tell you, a total mess.

I don't read any Gawker sites anymore. Not since they went to that screwy, completely unnecessary, and ugly revamp of everything.

But good doG, this revamp sounds ever more trainwrecky every day...

Great googly moogly.

What the ***** did they do to the Titans?

Who's the spiderchick/bot? What's up with this 'thief' angle on Wonder Girl? What the **** is Superboy wearing; tatoos? Taped-on paper 'S' (Young Justice animated shows did 'justice' to Superboy, not this...this...what IS this?)?!? and the dark energy gal - Marvel's 'Sunspot' get a sex change with a serving of a DC toss-over?

and....ARGH! No! LIEFELD!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

*goes fetal*

I refer you to my responses in this other thread as to the reasons why they thought it was a good to loose Liefield on poor Hawk and Dove.

In fact, Hawk & Dove #1 from the 1988 mini-series was Rob's first professional job. But by issue five he apparently "forgetting" to finish drawing hands and feet. Karl Kessel, the inker, had to do that.

Hmmm....didn't I hear of a new initirative for male characters to have collars? What makes Superboy immune to that?

Anyways, we also see another character in the back here. Not sure who the dude is. I'm wondering if the dark girl is supposed to be a reimagining of Raven.
