  1. Well, Xiang Yu suggests that the way to truly learn about someone is to torture them...

Thank you for helping me get to know the real you!
  2. So, let me get this straight.

You are reading my past posts, in an attempt to build a straw-man of my mistakes?

And then when I ask for help, you simply state "the content of your post".

Which seems to say that you find issue with my content.

Yet, you make no attempt to show me my mistakes. Just the entire post is wrong?

Which makes me wonder how much time you spend reading what other people have written, and to what end?

Is this behavior acceptable to you?

Would you stop reading everthing I post if I told you it made me uncomfortable?
  3. So..the grammar mistakes are in the titles...or the content....?

Can you help me correct them?
  4. I am in awe and wonder. I have errors in a post? Really? Could you show me which ones they are? Or are you to busy at the moment?

Can you clarify this sentence? I have trouble understanding the full meaning. And before I respond, I would like to understand you completely.
Specifically..what is this wand you speak of? A wand of wonder?
  6. I have a question....

What is the difference between E_L and GG?

Both seem to like to pad their thread count...
  7. I dinged my 139th, 140th and 141st 50 on Protector. overall..kinda slow weekend.
  8. Reminds me of an old George Carlin bit about names.

My name is Todd...and this is Blake, and Blair, and Blane, and Brent.

"Hi, Tucker I'm Todd...Hi Todd, Im' Tucker...."

"I will bet you anything that 10 times outta 10, Nicky, Vinny and Tony will beat the crap outta Todd, Kyle, and Tucker!!"
  9. I will bring a Electric Tank. Or you know, whatever other tool is needed to get the job done..
  10. This is my take on a build. The combo of web grenade and frag grenade will help make the pets perma. I would suggest working towards the ageless partial core as this helps with the recharge and end recovery. With only a 30 second window when it is not helping you in some way.

Your main attacks are there. Though it will be a combo of your attacks and your pets that will be doing the damage.

I would be happy to run a toon like this myself, as the benefit during a trial would be epic. You could single handedly take care of the north path choke point, if you added on the Aracnos Lore spider.

The only power i dropped was the expensive assault from leadership.

Hope this helps your thought process. Now as much as THB. But there you go...

  11. I have a question.

Is this for a already in use toon? Is this for a toon that already has Lore and Destiny at t3? Or is that not to be a factor?

    .

No strategy. Really!? This comes down to something I am trying my best to state without being overly offensive or against forum rules. If I do end up breaking a rule please understand I am not really trying. That being said.

    Either
    A) Organize, Plan, and Lead a successful Trial, beyond Lambda, BAF and Keyes on your own.

    OR

    B) Be Helpful when you aren't a Leader. Better put, be a Leader, even if you aren't asked to be one.

If I was a selfish person I would keep bringing only my level 50s. I have enough to keep me busy for the rest of the year. Look at my sig to understand why that is.

But, while I grit my teeth a bit once a month about bringing the Electric Tank on those runs I join, I keep bringing 50+3s. Do I have to? No. But I am a fan of putting my money where my mouth is. I wouldn't ask anyone else to do something I wasn't willing to do myself.

I am just getting tired of noone else stepping up to fill a role that I find myself doing more often than not. If the league leader says ToonX is herding AM, or pulling NS, or taunting the Warwalker into the corner. You know what I don't see. I don't see some other tank or brute send me a tell asking if they could give it a shot. I would like someone to send me a tell saying, you seem to be on a lot of trials with the same toon, would you want to use something else? I don't see that.

What I see, is the same global names bringing whatever suits their fancy for that day or week without consideration for what is needed for a league. Because I think people have gotten used to certain people who bring what is needed for success to do the heavy lifting. The EGC, Imp, Richter and Inkat, BLA, Tal. These are the people that do most of the heavy lifting. All I am trying to say, it would be nice if we could alt, and trust others to the leadership roles. But sadly, we can not.
  13. No no no River. Obviously, T should just sit in the corner and write out "I will not bring Useless Toons to Trials" a billion and 3.141 times. I mean that TPN, it was so easy to spot the noob Taunter. I mean, he spent so much time running back from the hospital he should have frequent ER miles. Thank goodness I was there with my 50+3 uber build Electric Armor tank, or all would have been lost.

If only there was someone that could show T how to do Trials while running unshifted toons. Someone that is an expert at it. I mean, we could all use the advice.

But, I suppose I will continue to use one of my 5 50+3 Electric Tanks to offset the noob Taunters for the more difficult trials. I think it is my role for the good of the Trial Goers to bring the best toon I can. I am just glad I have the kind of shoulder and back strength needed to haul around such fun filled toons like T's brute.

It wouldn't be so hard if T only knew what the heck he was doing most of the time. Clearly, he needs someone to show him. Anyone up to the task?

    i-Crab

Something I whipped up as a testbed for a SoA I have called Madam Spider. The goal is to have all the spider pets and the Aracnos Lore pets.

As I understand it the new soft cap for iTrials is 59%. So I tried to get to that number, while making the pets, serum, hasten all perma. Not totally sure I like the build. But, it is my first try at it

    Missing

Other things I miss from this game.

Common Sense: The greatest gift the devs gave us was the ability to lose was our common sense. I miss this the most. I wish there was a lost and found for my Common Sense.

Selflessness: People used to help anyone out. And the beggers. Oh man! I miss all those people begging for stuff. And the selfless people that would help them out.

Sanity: I miss this. Sometimes I don't remember what it was like to have my sanity. I have tried to use other peoples sanity, it never fits.

Sense of Humor: Most people on trials have no sense of humor. I mean, I only touched one Door. or clicked that glowing terminal once. If I have learned one thing in 7 years in this game. If it's a door you click it, if it glows you click it. I mean..sheesh

    Sarcasm: um..yeah..

Fun: So elusive. Like hot butter through a knife. wait..I got that wrongly

    Monkey Farms: 1-50 in 2.5 hours. Woohoo...ding...wait for it...Ding...weee...

Wolf Farms: These used to be fun. And where I earned my stripes as a door sitter. I mean. where else would I have the time to make up silly binds to annoy people with.

Lack of Aggro Cap: I used to love seeing a single tank haul over half a map of wolves. That was a herd. And if you were lucky, you got to see the entire street of skulls and hellions running at you in Perez. That..was epic. Now..16. really. Meh!

Epic BOOM!: Remember when there was a time when a blaster didn't have a cap on the number of mobs they could hit with a Nuke. That...was TOTALLY WICKED...(like the kid from the end of Incredibles)..

Tele-Tanks. Used to be, only one way to have mez protection on a tank. And it rooted you. So..you had to teleport to get around. Talk about fun!

Monster Island Come On Down: I used to love seeing the huge herd of Monsters get dragged over by the Rad toggles used by the toon that was actually under the PI map. Now they have ways to keep the Monsters out. I miss that. If they took the war walls down..it would be fun to drag them to the AE building in Atlas Park...
  17. This is my take on a Bane. I find being teammed with him it is fun as all heck. I also like the numbers.

    Mileage may vary.

    Lavoy....
  19. Lets see.

    BS/Regen Stalker 46-50
    Electric/MA Tank 43-50
    Necro/Time MM 44-50
    Fire/Dark Troller 43-50
    Fire/Rad Troller 1-50
    BA/SD Scrapper 5-40
    Demons/Dark MM 37-45
    ILL/Dark Troller 9-38
    ILL/TA Troller 20-34
    Dark/Dark Troller 9-22
    TW/Elec Scrapper 5-8

All in all. Productive. And a few steps closer to my goal.
  20. What I have seen is an uptick in completely flat 50s trying to do trials. And last night I was one of them. But I was on a fully IO slotted Electric Armor/ Ice Melee tank I finished leveling on Tuesday and slotting right before the trials started.

Richter started with a Lambda/Baf combo of runs. I survived running the warehouse for pac grenades, and on the BAF was tasked with Taunting the AVs to the rally point.

Due to my level shift gap, I was not able to maintain aggro control over the AVs, but Huron was on a Brute that could. So whenever he got double ringed or sequestered I would do my best to spam taunt. My damage output was saddening, but my ability to survive, off-tank taunt and dropping ice patch to popcorn the Ambush mobs made me feel useful.

The 3rd trial I did was a Keyes. My first reaction was to swap out for one of my 50+3 Electric tanks so I would be able to taunt Anti-Matter. But Huron had switched to his and Richter said I should be ok on my flat 50. So I re-logged in my flat 50 Electric Tank. Huron asked me if wanted to do Top or Bottom Tier for the mob clearing. I figured that with my level shifts and a full tray of Inspirations I could handle the Top Tiers of each reactor. When we had final done all the reactors and gotten to the Final Phase I did my best to back Huron up as often as I could. I died once, bought more green inspirations and jumped back in.

My 4th trial for the night was another BAF. Again, my lack of level shifts made it tough, especially during the prisoner escape phase, as I just could not do enough to them, and lack of Lore Pets made it more so. I again tried to keep the Ambush spawns popping up and down on Ice Patch, and taunting the AVs as often as possible. Was getting frustrated at what little I could do by this point.

The 5th trial of the night was a successful TPN. This time I switched to one of my 50+3 Electric Tanks. Helped clear Terminals. Inkat’ed around to help at other Terminals when the Tech at my Terminal was done and I could help. Having Lore Pets, Destinies and all my level shifts made me feel useful again. But the rewards are going to a Toon that is already t4 across the board, with at least 3 t4 destinies. I just rather run something helpful on a trial like this one.

The 6th trial of the night was a successful UG. This time I switched to my 50+3 Plant/Rad Controller, as we already had two solid tanks, and I figured Debuff would be more helpful. This was fun, with most everyone level shifted at least twice.

The 7th and final trial for me last night was a Lambda. That I switched out for my flat 50 Electric Tank for. We succeed in good fashion, with only a few hiccups. At the end of which I got the rare I needed to be T3 in my Alpha and being 50+1 after 5 trials.

My point is that I worked on a new flat 50, switched when something else was needed, and still got a level shift in one evenings’ 3 hours of play. Is that normal for me? No. I was using my wifes’ account which has never had a incarnate before. So I had no excess store of Astrals or Emps. I had to do it a more measured and slower pace. Normally 5 trials completed and I would be 50+3 if I was in a hurry.

I understand I am not a usual case. I get that my play style is not like most other peoples’ on Protector. What is usual is the folks I team with the most, all try our best to make trials a success for ourselves and everyone we team with. That for all our snark, we want to have fun, and succeed.

well..i was trying to make is a one line statement. So that it would include Rad/* Defenders, */Rad Trollers, or */Rad Corrupters.

But I bet you knew that already!!
  22. Here is my suggestion.

There should be a core group of players that can scratch together the minimum assortment of AT’s to successfully complete Lambda and Bafs at the minimum number of players. I challenge those that read and post to the boards to step up and lead. Be willing to be one of the main people that can bring a specific AT that is 50+2 or 50+3 to help with the basics. And be willing to do at least one set of Lambda and Baf as often as possible. In a consolidated method of helping the rest of the server.

Tank, Dom, Debuff/Buff, DPS. These are what I feel are most often needed to be successful on these trials.
Specifically, I would call for the following recipe for survival and success.
    Team 1:
    Electric Tank
    Rad Toggles
    Perma-Dom
    DPS

    Team 2:
    Electric Tank
    Rad Toggles
    Perma-Dom
    DPS

On either trial, this should be the core of any league. Can it be done with other combinations? Certainly. And has been done often enough.

I am sure enough of us could be counted on to bring what was “needed”, and then also have the chance to bring toons that need to be worked on. Personally, I have enough 50+3s to choke a bison. So I would be willing to put my money where my mouth is. I will bring one of the Electric Tanks to every Lambda/Baf run for the next month.
I would also be willing to start up runs at 8 pm est as often as possible. Anyone willing to help me?
  23. Well...

Its Dark Times at Paragon High.

We are all using Dark powers if we are doing it right.?!

So...wanted to give something for the DARK SIDE!!..dum dum dun...

Also. If you get the fastest time..and have the most defeats...that is impressive...MOST IMPRESSIVE.

And..really..I have never seen a contest that included the most deaths...so..I get style points for being creative...
  24. Dark Times at Paragon High:

    Rules.

The TFs/Trial for this contest are as follows:

Death From Below: obtain all three badges for each team member.
    Posi 1: lowest time
    Posi 2: lowest time
    Synapse: lowest time

    Minimum Team Size: 4
Entry Fee: 0, 125 million, 250 million per team member. So a minimum team chips in 500 million, or 1 billion to the prize pool. Kult can pick the buy in...

Any AT is allowed. Any Combination of AT is allowed. Restriction is that the Primary or Secondary, must have Dark Control, Dark Affinity, Dark Assault, Dark Melee, Dark Armor, Dark Blast, Dark Meisma...or any Dark based powerset. Sadly, this excludes Warshades.

Goal: To get the lowest combined Time possible for the completion of Posi 1 and Posi 2, and Synapse. And have all of the DFB badges on each of the teammates.

Screen shots of each End time as well as a screen shot of the badges obtained for the DFB. Ideally, the screen shot showing the badges for DFB should include the teammates sighed up for the trial ahead of time.

50% of the pool will go to the winning team.

25% of the pool will go to the team with most deaths.

and 25% of the pool will go to me for the idea in the first place. Wait, no..that's not right. Looking at my notes..oh..

75% of the pool will go to the winning team

25% of the pool witll go to the team with the most deaths.

Well..switch out superspeed for fly, and combat jumping for hover. no real loss.

Just, I like superspeed paired with shadowfall for the good stealth. But you can find ways to get that. So no big deal. Have fun with whatever you pick to do!

Nevermind. Better yet. Take out Superspeed, combat jumping and Super Jump. Replace with Flight, Hover and Afterburner. Put the Stealth io in Afterburner. And you are done..woot...i am a SUPER GENIUS!
