1) all three examples you provided required some degree of tech (swim/low gravity, zero g) to make the environment really stand out. ( I guess you could do a bubbled-dome habitat deep undersea & just have the water overhead, or a space station that looks like our tech labs, but with windows showing the vastness of space, but both of those wouldn't satisfy the core demand).

2) Look at the few screenshots carefully. Many of those assets already exist. Those few that ARE new could be scattered into the many port environments in-game for multiple reuse... or serve as a basis for future expansions into an undersea zone. It isn't a vast array of new assets, as a space station or lunar base would be. In those places, most of the existing assets would seem out of place. This gets us something that uses many existing assets while encouraging development of stuff that can be of value to new projects down the line.

An "Aegis Cruiser" would be a Ticonderoga-class. These things look more like Burke-class destroyers, which are also equipped with the Aegis system. The two types of ships look very similar, however. They're based on the same hull.

...and I find the idea of supersonic freaks startlingly interesting...

One suggestion to the art team. You should make sure that the ships have individual marking. It would be funny if they all had the same and odd if they didn't have any. If you don't have time to make individual markings thin making it look like the markings have bin scraped off would be a good alternative.

A question would be will there be sharks/see monsters/ a school of sallys?

Not that bad, I thought floating Sky Fortress and after reading 5 pages, I'm still dissapointed its not what it is.

Excited for the prospects of a new zone sure, but its a teeny bit dissapointing to see the bulk of it made from old assets stuck together.

and as others have said, for realistic structural integrity look at the real world, this has been done, and all the ships have to be quite cohesively attached, as if they were a giant catamaran.

I hope this environment will have new textures and objects.
So far, the ships on the screenshots are the same we had before.
Looks better thanks to the ultra-water, but ships are reclycled... again.
Thats way I love Praetoria so much. Theres lots of new buildings, textures...

Water World was the first thing that came to mind. :P

It would be nice if they moved around in the water. Heck, even if the whole mess of ships meandered around the map.
