First thing I thought as well. Somehow I read "stolen airships" in there, too.

Sounds like a Nemesis plot

And a floating steampunk sky fotress held up by airships would be rather cool

IMO

We've seen the kind of tech that Praetoria possesses sends through portals... so I'm doubting if its Loyalist forces.

The fact that this thing even exists implies that its been skulking around for awhile (acquisition, construction and finished phases).

I'm doubting that something of this magnitude would be floating around unchecked in Praetoria (if it were Resistance forces) unless it came from outside 'city limits'.

This is 'dirty tech', stolen materials and unconventional methodology; who fits the bill?

Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars

Interesting.

It reminds me of The Raft from Snow Crash.

I hope it's not used just in a TF/Trial.

Still, it does look impressive and the Art Department deserve praise for making another cool location regardless of what it gets used for.

Don't be hatin' on Praetoria - it's the kind of epic level evil heroes should be fighting

If it is, the map will still probably end up in the AE

There's, like, 15 of them, and a buncha robots. And about half of them have, like, a whole two lines of characterization. I mean, sure, Praetoria's pretty cool, but I'll admit that they're already starting to feel a tad monotonous.

I'm hoping we start to see NPC Powers Division members as AVs in some of the Trials and other Praetorian invasion content.
I know Tyrant doesn't fully trust them, but there must be a few he'd risk sending along to Primal Earth with his giant war robot army

I think a Powers division "Rogues Gallery" would be very cool, like the costumed NPCs who show up in the Tip missions - the Powers Division ones could be a mix of existing ones from the 1-20 Praetorian content, plus some new ones, and they could be scattered throughout any new Paretorian invasion arcs or missions, along with the actual Praetors themselves.

I dunno... there was that briefly leaked "recycled pee" inspiration in the i20 teaser...

I couldn't remember what book that raft was from, but that raft was the first thing I thought about upon seeing those images.

When Lambda was announced as the name of the next trial I noticed a defintion on Wiki that sounded cool

Lambda was used as a shield pattern by the Spartan Army.
At first I didn't think that defination of Lambda had anything to do with the trial but now that I see all those shield ships I think it does.

The Lambda Trial isn't connected to this Floating Fortress - it takes place at the Lambda Scetor military base in Neutropolis.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

That would be cool too, imo, though if we're rescuing hapless sailors there, I'm betting that's not the case.

Well, we'll see tomorrow since the Lambda trial is going to be open on the Beta Server.

Everyone should patch their Beta server installations now.

No, we can see now - go to Neutropolis and take a look at the Lambda Sector base, and then look at the preview where it mentiones the Lambda Sector

Article only mentions IP. I am very disappointed, but it indicates the general trend of the franchise - it's Paragon or Co-op. If we want other than those choices, we'll play existing content.

Yes, I am a disgruntled City of Villains player and I make no apologies for it.

I thought so too

Heh, but then I was kind of wondering why that'd be in the air (navy in the air?!, it's more likely than you think! ) and not only that but if it was in the air, it's not very "menacing" looking (no huge battleship/guns/etc...)....so...we'll see how things go...
