Who here is proud to NOT have a farm toon?

Yeah. I don't have a dedicated farming character, because I don't find farming fun. I also don't have a dedicated PvP character, because I don't find PvP fun, and I don't have a Tank because I don't find Tanks to be fun. I feel no particular pride about any of those.

I have pride in having characters that I enjoy playing the game with.

if i make a good costume with him/her, maybe, i'd be proud of that. but i'm not really concerned with farming, i usually don't, have in the past(though not in a particularly hardcore fashion), if others want to do it, so long as they clearly state their intentions when forming a team, and dont spam broadcast/globals, i have no real issues. Pride over such things seems to make unfortunate value judgments that kind of overreach.

I'm proud I don't call any of my characters "toon", whether I use them to farm or not.

I'm of the mindset that I play the game in the way that makes me happy...if that means farming, PL'n, RP, whatever...its my dime, not yours.

Don't I know you???

Considering that I never farm, I'll attach my name to this thread.

I don't have 'farm toons', but I do have characters that employ enhanced acquisition strategies.

i can get behind that. While i never farm in the sense of repeating the same mission over and over i will pick soft targets when soloing tip or paper missions. Mostly Carnies when available. The MIs and RMs are mildly annoying, but the rest die quick.

Farming, eh

I've never built a toon explicitly designed to farm, nor have a held on to a mish like the Demon Fire map, or used an AE farm, so I don't call myself a farmer.

However, when soloing, I do like to run at +0/+8 as that is the optimal setting to get drops (and I don't really like playing a lvl50 that can't run at that setting) . Sometimes I'll just log in and run a quick tip/radio mish. Even though I enjoy the mission itself, I'm quick to see what loot i got once done - to me, that's farming of a sort.

I don't run a plantation, but my little side garden has some good stuff every once in a while

I've never created a character with the intent to farm.

That said, I will farm occasionally, usually when I feel like playing, but can't devote much time or focus to it. Like, doing the laundry, cooking, etc. I don't want to burden a team with frequent AFKs, and I don't want to feel I've lost any progress in missions, if I get logged out during a 20 minute journey to the laundry room (I live on the top floor of an apartment).

Thank you, Champion.

If MB's torching down an anti-farming thread, assume it's really pointless.

Farming would include repeating a mission just for badge purposes, like Paragon Protector mission. Doing the Same Task Force over for the reward, shards, merits, SHO. Doing Raids like Hami and Rikti Raid more than once. Doing the Same Arc in Ouro many time whether it is for a Temp Pet, or to get the Ouro Badges.

All in all, almost everyone in game has farmed something.

I rarely do anything that might be described as farming, but I like farmers. They fill up the market with stuff, which makes it easier for me use marketeering to make money.

This.

I do have a total of two farming toons(one is retired) but rarely ever play them except when I just want to log in and relieve the stress of RL by wading through tons of enemies.

Yep, from a market health point of view farmers (or specifically farmers who farm solo or on small teams) are much better than people who team a lot.

I still find farming dull.

I don't have a farm toon but I wouldn't say I'm proud about it.

I just don't farm, so I don't need one. If I did farm I probably would make one, makes sense to me to not make it longer and more tedious than it already is.
